GOLDMUND METIS SUBWOOFER – Subwoofer Speaker - 7
5 CONNECTIONS
Usable in any type of configuration, the Metis subwoofer has a built-in amplifier with both
analog and digital inputs and a built-in input crossover.
The amp connecting panel provides two additional switches to select the analog or digital
inputs and which channel of the SPDIF signal is used.
The only connections needed are the power cord and the interconnect linking the Metis
subwoofer to the output of the preamplifier, or in digital, the digital link cable for SPDIF
input.
The Metis subwoofer may receive two analog cables if one only one Subwoofer is used so
the right and left channels may be mixed automatically inside the crossover.
ATTENTION: If you use 2 Subwoofers in analog, only one cable can be connected to any
of the two available RCA inputs. In such a case, always leave the unused input on each
Metis subwoofer with a short-circuiting plug mounted.
ATTENTION: In most configurations, the ground wire from AC plug must absolutely be
lifted on all amplifiers and on the Metis subwoofer connection to the AC line. Otherwise a
bad ground loop may make amplifiers oscillate and be destroyed.
The Metis subwoofer is automatically powered ON when it receives modulation. When the
analog input is selected, the amplifier is permanently powered ON.
For a Home-Theatre connection, several options are available.
