Photo Mode
There are three photo options to choose from, these include Single, Continuous, and Night. Each of
these have different settings available. The main settings to consider are as follows:
MP stands for Megapixels and determines the quality of the photo you are taking. The
highest quality is 12MP, but this is fixed wide angle focal length, 7MP is able to have wide,
and Medium/Profile field of view.
PT or Pro Tune allows you to set everything manually with the GoPro, including the white
balance, colour, ISO Minimum, ISO Maximum, sharpness, and exposure compensation. If
turned off everything will be in automatic.
When you press the Shutter/select button in the Continuous option it keeps taking photos
for as long as you press it. The interval property limits the number of photos taken at any
given time. For example, 3fps, the lowest setting, will only take 3 photos every second you
are pressing the shutter/select button.
In the Night option there is a shutter property where you can determine the length the
shutter is open for when taking a photo. 30 seconds is the longest shutter time available.
Burst Mode
There are three burst mode options to choose from, these include Burst, Time lapse, and Night
lapse. Each of these have different settings available. The main settings to consider are as follows:
In the standard burst mode, you can choose the rate at which the GoPro takes photos, and
how many it takes during that time. For example, 30/1 second will take 30 photos a second
for 1 second, 30/6 will take 30 photos a second for 6 seconds. This does not require holding
down the shutter/select button, pressing once will activate the burst specified.
Interval recording is not available in the standard burst mode option.
1. In Time-lapse it is used to change when the camera takes a still frame image. This can be
0.5 seconds, up to 60 seconds. Once the shutter/select button is pressed it will take a
photo at each of these increments and only stop until pressed again. It will then process
all of these into a video.
2. In Night lapse it is used to determine the time the camera will keep taking a photo based
on the shutter speed.
MP stands for Megapixels and determines the quality of the photo you are taking. The
highest quality is 12MP, but this is fixed wide angle focal length, 7MP is able to have wide,
and Medium/Profile field of view.
In the Night Lapse option there is a shutter property where you can determine the length
the shutter is open for when taking a photo. 30 seconds is the longest shutter time
available.
PT or Pro Tune allows you to set everything manually with the GoPro, including the white
balance, colour, ISO Minimum, ISO Maximum, sharpness, and exposure compensation. If
