GRAVITY X pressure_ simply dynamic
Xpressure - The acro wing with supreme handling! The glider’s success story is based on a
balanced canopy-harmony, offering the perfect mix between mistake-forgiving dynamics as
well as precise, spot-on handling. We achieved a clear improvement in terms of dynamics as
well as the handling, without making the glider more aggressive. Qualities which make the
Xpressure equally suitable for acro beginners, hobby acro pilots and professionals. We are
proud that we received superb feedback during the world cup race season, enabling us to
create this powerful, enduring wing while applying latest materials and technologies to
insure pilot security. The concept and planning of the Xpressure was designed to make the
usability, manoeuvrability homogenous. This wing is performing very subtle and well under
extreme conditions with optimal state-of-the-art tear-proof materials.

Our acro wing with the invincible and matchless handling!
Let us tell you about the success story of the Xpressure which is based on a balanced
canopy-harmony, offering the impeccable mix out of mistake-forgiving dynamic and precise
handling. When designing the Xpressure we were able to achieve a clear improvement in
terms of dynamics as well as the handling, without making the glider more aggressive

already during R & D phase. What we like best with the Xpressure achievements is that it
reaches a broad range of pilots as its characteristics combine crisp dynamics with easy
handling. The wing is therefore suitable for hobby acro pilots, to acro beginners as well as
professionals. A challenge during the concepting and designing period was that we had
managed to make and outstanding acro glider but wanted to enhance the outstanding
features further with adding sweet-temperedness and fault forgiving features to the
dynamic wing at the same time. We are truly proud to present our achievements with the
most balanced acro wing for now, GRAVITY’s Xpressure.
Illustration 02_ GRAVITY Xpressure
Much value was also placed upon durability of the Xpressure as well as maintaining the
excellent flying characteristics under extreme loads. Therefore the wing is supplied pre-
trimmed. When manufacturing the Xpressure we purely use the purposely developed PX40
material. The well-known material has an innovative coating which provides enhanced long-
term results and improved tear resistance. PX40 is currently the strongest fabric used to
build a wing. When it comes to the processing and manufacturing, we do our utmost with
strong emphasis on durability and shape accuracy.
The turning in the connections of all negative manoeuvres is very homogeneous with the
Xpressure which reduces the twist-tendency and offers more safety, especially for acro
beginners.

Pilot Profile
The Xpressure addresses ambitious acro pilots looking for a highly developed dynamic wing
with direct and sportive handling. Acro newbies as well as professionals have to be in very
good physical and mental condition. Dynamic flying demands especially high concentration
from the pilot while exposing them to extreme physical stress due to the great centrifugal
forces. We ask you to always pursue aviation with the proper cautiousness and respect. This
includes profound, extensive flight preparation as well as the examination of meteorological
conditions and the proper evaluation of the weather situation. Act defensively and proactive
at all times! Remember that increasing fun by reducing risks! An important point during the
countless test flights of the glider through GRAVITY Acro Test pilots was the optimization
of the brake pressure. Manoeuvres like Corkscrew or McTwist can be done without winding
that way.

Motorised paragliding
We recommend to NOT use the GRAVITY Xpressure in motorized flight. There is a risk of
fatal injury!
2.2
To wi n g w i n c h e s
The GRAVITY Xpressure offers excellent starting characteristics with its high trim speed,
best conditions for towing winches. The following must be observed and revised when
towing winches/ aerotow:
• The GRAVITY Xpressure must not be towed over 100 kp
• Unless towing on your “house winch”, it is absolutely necessary to familiarize yourself
with the local conditions in advance. Every “guest” in a foreign/ new flight area must
be instructed by the local pilots.
• Never tow the GRAVITY Xpressure with a load exceeding the approved weight limits
• All persons and facilities involved in winch operation must have the required
qualifications or approvals for towing paragliders on the winch. This applies to the
pilot, winch operator, towing device, towing pawl and all other devices for which a
certificate of competence is required
3
THE DEFAULT SETTINGS_
The delivered brake line and default setting corresponds to the setting 0-leeway plus 5 cm.
It is recommended to adjust the brake handle to your personal needs after the first flight.
Remember that the brakes should not be set too short, otherwise the glider would fly
continuously braked. These situations would be extremely dangerous for take-off, flight and
landing!
The default setting is in extreme flight situations and when landing sufficient braking
distance available. At the same time, it enables a comfortable arm position for the trim
flight. Under no circumstances should the basic setting of the A, B and C lines be changed.
PAY ATTENTION_
Please note that the relative braking distance changes with the
height/ length of the harness. When fixing the setting, make sure that both sides are
symmetrical and that a permanent knot is used. The double fisherman’s knot/ spar or pile

ACRO-Handles “High 5”_
The Xpressure is equipped with the high-quality acro-Handles “High 5” by GRAVITY. The
ergonomic neoprene supporting loop is padded with moisture-resistant foam to ensure its
comfort even during long training days. The explicitly produced bar provides a perfect grip
and, by means of the embedded swirl, a low suspension point. The wing comes with pre-
installed brake rollers. The delivery also includes the rubber bands for the free brakes.
Harness as well as handles come with flaps for switching to free brakes. The brake rollers
can easily be removed by unlooping them from the quick links.

SECURITY PRECAUTIONS_
1. 1. Before the first flight, the cap, lines, all connections and sewing, the shackles, brake
lines and brake line knots as well as any twisted lines must be checked by
appropriately trained personnel and confirmed on the type plate
2. Make your first flight in a known flight area/ territory and in calm conditions
3. Test your GRAVITY Xpressure only over water
4. During a "dynamic flight" the gravitation does not only affect you, but also on the
glider. Do not underestimate this state and the forces!
5. Always fly your GRAVITY Xpressure with at least one rescue device!
6. Compliance with the air traffic act and regulations are applicable in the respective
country must be observed and revised carefully

14
USER MANUAL
GRAVITY X pressure
EN REV.V01 - 2020
7. Successful, certified completion of the appropriate training and license as well as the
current existence of the appropriate level of knowledge / the current flight
experience are prerequisites for using the GRAVITY Xpressure
8. The use of suitable, tested and approved accessories (helmet, harness, rescue
device) is a prerequisite for using the GRAVITY Xpressure
9. Carry out a thorough material check of your equipment (top sail, bottom sail, ribs,
especially the lines, carabiners, belt buckles, cloth, speed system, etc.) before every
start
10. A flight with a crack or hole in the wing or line can be life-threatening
11. Always make sure that the aircraft is in a proper flying condition and that the
required inspections have been carried out regularly
12. Be aware that as a pilot you must be physically and mentally able to carry out the
flight unimpeded. You have to concentrate fully on flying in order to possibly avoid
unpleasant flight conditions
13. Most accidents are due to pilot errors
14. Never fly near high-voltage lines, airports or highways, over people or during a
thunderstorm! Otherwise you could endanger the life and physical integrity of third
parties and / or your own and act grossly negligent at the same time!
15. The minimum distance must never be less than 50 m. At airports, this is a radius of 5
km
16. Find out about the prevailing weather conditions in the weather report and on site in
advance
17. Only use the GRAVITY Xpressure at wind speeds where you are able to control the
glider 100%
18. Never use the screen during approaching thunderstorms or storms or when there is a
high probability of thunderstorms or storms
19. Land immediately when thunderstorms or bad weathers approach!
20. Aerobatic flying is generally prohibited and life-threatening. Unpredictable flight
situations can occur that may get out of control. There is a risk of physical and
thermal overload on the material and/ or the pilot
PAY ATTENTION_
Failure to disregard one or more safety precautions or violation
can turn flight fun into a life-threatening event.

Risers
The A- and B-risers have different colour codes to ensure positive identification at take-off
and during a B-stall decent. Other adjustable, removable or variable mechanisms are non-
existent.
6.3
Speed system
The GRAVITY Xpressure is equipped with a very effective foot actuated speed system.
When applied, it increases the speed up to approx. 13 km / h depending on the wing size,
pilot weight and surface loading respectively. Consequently, it shouldn’t be activated in
extreme flight conditions or deactivated as soon as such occurs. All extreme flight attitudes
(e.g. collapses) happen more dynamically at higher speed. Since the maximum acceleration
distance refers to the safety behaviour of the wing, it may occur that some harnesses won’t
be able to use the full acceleration distance!
The speed system needs to be adjusted accordingly before the first flight. Therefore, the
connection lines of the foot extensor are being connected through the brummel hooks with
the speed system on the riser. To be able to undertake the right adjustment the harness
should be hung up so you can sit in flying position. The attached risers are best held up by
someone else. It should be adjusted in a way so that the pulleys are on top of each other
and you have your legs stretched out. And you are also responsible to watch out that the
speed system is adjusted symmetrically and not too short so the glider is not pre-
accelerated in the flight.
6.4
Trimmer
The Xpressure has been enhanced in deliberation of the new “Twisted-Tricks”. For the
preservation of its outstanding properties with crossed straps, the Trim has been specifically
enhanced. In order not to create any additional friction, the straps have been kept clean,
without the use of Trimmer. This is what makes the Xpressure the first choice when it comes
to practicing new tricks.

PAY ATTENTION_ Trimming of Lines
Due to extremely high pressure occurring in
the course of ACRO manoeuvres and the straining of lines resulting thereof, we tested these
stresses in extreme challenges and calculated them into the delivery state of the GRAVITY
Xpressure. It takes high straining like in spiral dives or tumbling (please keep in mind for
both halves of the wing to be eagerly, or rather symmetrically, strained) in order to stretch
the main lines to their ideal trim! No sooner than after this stretching of the lines, the full
dynamics of the glider are available!!!
PAY ATTENTION_ After 150 hours of operation
, the complete set of lines has to be
renewed at the latest.
6.5
Stabilo-Line-Security-Function
Even expert pilots aren’t safe from cravats, especially when they practice new routines or
max-out exiting choreographies. Most cravats ended with the emergency parachute, since
acro flying happens with potent acceleration forces that are even higher, the smaller the
surface of a glider gets. For a pilot exposed to such forces, it’s not easy - irrespective of
their abilities and level of training - to find the Stabilo-line quickly. Releasing the cravat isn’t
too much of a problem in most cases, the challenge however is finding and holding onto the
Stabilo-line in a immediate fashion.
With the “Stabilo Line Security Function”, this will be a lot easier: The SLSF is a roll through
which the Stabilo-line is pulled and fixed at the B-strap with a rubber line. In case of cravats,
this enables the pilot to pull the Stabilo-line quickly by drawing the rubber line close to the
handle and consequently release the cravat.

Acro-Material PX40
With the Xpressure, a high value has been added on the long-life cycle and preservation of
exceptional flight characteristics and qualities under extreme strain. In order to ensure these
aspects, the specifically developed PX40 has been used. This well-proven material, with a
double coating provides better long-term standards and enhanced tear resistance. PX40 is
currently the strongest fabric any wing can be made of.

Colours and Design_
“Never change a winning horse!”
One of the unique selling points of the GRAVITY product range is that each glider product is
only available in a single lead design and comes without colour variations or special designs.
That way we can maintain supply capability within the agreed lead times and can guarantee
the price stability. We are aiming at keeping basic calculations stable for sales and as well as
within the production processes with forecasted quantities. We have made a big effort at
creating each product of the glider product range holistically and to give each product
unique features and moreover high recognition values.
