lThe following safety and assembly instructions refer to the device and not to the accessories or drive.
BEWARE!
Non-observance may lead to injuries!
Observe all safety instructions!
lNever install or put damaged products into operation.
lOnly use unaltered and compatible original parts.
lIn the event of unauthorised opening, improper use, incorrect installation or incorrect operation of the device, there is a
risk of personal injury and damage to property.
Operation
lOnly use the device in dry rooms.
lIf the system is controlled by one or more transmitters, the motion of the system must be visible during operation.
Safety instructions for radio operation
Observe all safety instructions for radio operation
Only use radio systems if they are permitted and can be operated in a fault-free manner
lRadio systems must not be operated in areas where there is an increased risk of interference (e.g. hospitals, airports).
lRemote control is only permitted for devices and systems where a malfunction in the transmitter or receiver does not
pose a risk to persons, animals or objects, or where this safety risk is covered by other safety devices.
lThe operator is not protected from interference from other telecommunications systems and terminal equipment (e.g.
from radio systems which are properly operated in the same frequency range).
lThe range of the radio signal is limited by law and the structural conditions.
Type plate
The type plate is located on the back of the hand-held transmitter.
Intended Use
Product Description
lBefore start-up, note the technical supplement sheet of the blind actuator.
lThe range of the radio signal depends on structural conditions. Please refer to Griesser’s “Technical Data Sheet –
Radio Systems” before start-up.
lFor radio remote control of the blind actuator with the radio module used, Griesser offers two hand-held transmitter ver-
sions: SFB-1M with 1 transmitter channel and SFB-5M with 5 transmitter channels.
lThe radio module MOFUB-gMS-1 has a designation label with a labelling field. For identification, the label should be
glued to the housing of the gMS-1/gMS-1S after insertion of the radio module.

Radio operation property
Radio operation is enabled by inserting the MOFUB radio module-gMS-1 into the slot of the blind actuator.
In the delivery state, radio operation of the blind actuator acts in parallel to the existing physical local operating inputs of the
blind actuator.
lThe radio operating input 1 acts in parallel to the local input 1 on the motor channel 1
lThe radio operating input 2 acts in parallel to the local input 2 on the motor channel 2
letc.
Note:
This assignment can be adjusted using the ETS and in the DCA.
Important:
These instructions describe the programming and deletion of radio hand-held transmitters in the delivery state of the blind
actuator. If the blind actuator is no longer in the delivery state or if the assignment is adjusted with the ETS or DCA, this must
be taken into account when programming and deleting the hand-held transmitters. For more information, see the online help.

Programming the hand-held transmitter
Requirement
The blind actuator is installed and the supply voltage (230V) is connected.
A radio channel of the hand-held transmitter is programmed to a certain radio operation input of the blind actuator.
1. Plug the radio module into the extension module slot on the blind actua-
tor. The radio module is ready to be programmed for 5 minutes, and the
red programming LED of the blind actuator blinks rapidly
2. On the blind actuator, press the Motor Channel selection button repea-
tedly until the desired motor channel display lights up.
3. Use the selection button on the hand-held transmitter (only SFB-5M) to
select the radio channel of the hand-held transmitter to be programmed.
The corresponding channel display is displayed on the hand-held trans-
mitter.
4. Press the Program button P on the back of the hand-held transmitter
briefly until the status display lights up orange. The motor channel dis-
play of the blind actuator blinks.
5. To confirm the programming process, press the UP button on the hand-
held transmitter. The motor channel display goes out.
Note:
A single programming process for the transmitter channel can be stopped by holding down the STOP button on the hand-
held radio transmitter for 6 seconds. The status display lights up orange repeatedly.
The entire programming process can be stopped or ended by pressing the bus programming button of the blind actuator.
Possible assignments during programming
Up to 32 transmitter channels from one or
more transmitters can be programmed into
a radio module (inserted in the blind actua-
tor).
Program a transmitter channel of the hand-held transmitter into two or more
radio modules/blind actuators.
Note:
Due to different operating times of the radio connections, there may be time
delays when operating several radio modules/blind actuators with one trans-
mitter channel.
In order to prevent various time delays, we recommend that you program a trans-
mitter channel of a hand-held transmitter into only one radio module. The posi-
tioning commands can be forwarded via the bus to the other blind actuators or
motor channels. The description can be found in the online help for the blind
actuator .

Deleting the transmitter channel of a hand-held transmitter from the blind actuator
The transmitter channel of the hand-held transmitter is deleted from all programmed radio operation inputs of the blind actua-
tor.
1. Press the STOP button and also the Program button (on the back of the
device).
2. Keep this key combination pressed for at least 6 seconds until the status
display lights up red.
Deleting the radio operation input of the blind actuator with all associated hand-held trans-
mitters
The radio operation input of the blind actuator, on which the current transmitter channel of the hand-held transmitter is pro-
grammed, is completely deleted.
All transmitter channels of the other hand-held transmitters programmed on the same radio operation input are also deleted.
1. Press the STOP, UP and DOWN button and also the Program button
(on the back of the device).
2. Keep this key combination pressed for at least 6 seconds until the sta-
tus display lights up red.
Resetting the radio module of the blind actuator with the hand-held transmitter
In order to reset the radio module, an unused radio channel of the hand-held transmitter must first be programmed to all
radio operation inputs of the blind actuator. This radio channel is then deleted from the radio module together with all other
hand-held transmitters.
Programming the
radio channel of the
hand-held trans-
mitter:
1. Unplug and re-plug the radio module into the extension module slot on
the blind actuator. The radio module is ready to be programmed for 5
minutes, and the red programming LED of the blind actuator blinks
rapidly
2. On the blind actuator, press the Motor Channel selection button repea-
tedly until all motor channel LEDs light up.
3. Use the selection button on the hand-held transmitter (only SFB-5M) to
select an unused radio channel of the hand-held transmitter. The cor-
responding channel display is displayed on the hand-held transmitter.
4. Press the Program button P on the back of the hand-held transmitter for
3 seconds until the motor channel LEDs blink.
5. To confirm the programming process, press the UP button on the hand-
held transmitter. The motor channel display goes out.
6. Use the selection button on the hand-held transmitter (only SFB-5M) to
select the programmed radio channel of the hand-held transmitter. The
corresponding channel display is displayed on the hand-held trans-
mitter.
7. Press the STOP, UP and DOWN button and also the Program button
(on the back of the device) for at least 6 seconds until the status display
lights up red.
The radio module is reset.
