PRIMATE GAS GRILL/GRIDDLE OPERATION MANUAL2
Thank
You!
So you’ve purchased Grilla Grills rst combination gas griddle and grill, and we can’t say thank you enough.
This piece of equipment is something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for YEARS. We’ve been
listening to the complaints and suggestions the community had about other gas grills/griddles and doing
everything we can to make this the toughest, most convenient one on the market. This grill never would
have been a possibility without the support and feedback that people like you have been sharing with us
since we started with the OG years ago. So just one more time, we want to say thank you for everything this
community has done for this company. If this is your rst Grilla Grill, then we’re proud to welcome you to
our ever-growing family of backyard grillers and smokers.
But hey, if you’ve got this book in your hand, that means you’ve probably got the grill at your home already.
So enough from us, let’s get into this. On the following pages you’ll see everything you need to know about
assembly, operation and maintenance of your Primate Gas/Griddle Combo. Ensure you read this booklet
carefully, in order to understand how to safely operate and care for your equipment.
Our Story:
About 7 years ago, two men on a shing trip, chowin’ down at camp on a plate of ribs. One looks over at
the grill (he’s the industrial designer) and says, “Why do all those pellet grills look the same, big ole barrel
cut in half.” The other, a metal smith by trade, answers, “Because we haven’t built one.” That’s when the
light bulb went off. Why not design and build a smoker-grill that stands apart, literally, from the crowd.
Cooking with pellets was hardly known. Hundreds of design hours later, the Grilla pellet smoker grill was
born.
Fast-forward a few successful years, same two guys. Same idea. Only this time, bring a rock solid, proven
smoker-grill to the market using the same streamlined business model that delivers savings to the consumer.
Design the grill to efciently feed you and your friends or the entire neighborhood. Make cooking with pellets
easy, the avor robust and the grill good-looking.
All Grilla products, including pellets, sauces and accessories, are available direct to the hungry consumer.
No fat in this business model, just pure value meal after delicious meal.

Gas Regulator Check/Conversion
If the Grilla Grills Primate Griddle/Grill is factory built for natural gas, the regulator supplied is set for 4”
water column. e regulator is convertible to 11 in wc (2.49 kPa) for system LP application. Do not use
with a 20-lb LP cylinder. Make sure that the regulator is set for the correct gas type. To check, remove the
brass hex cap. You will nd the conversion plastic pin attached to the cap to the underside of the cap. If
the disc (1/2 in. diameter) of the pin is close to the cap, then the regulator is set for natural gas. If the disc
is at the tip of the pin, away from the brass cap, the regulator is set for system LP application. To convert
to natural gas, remove the plastic conversion pin and invert and replace it back in a manner such that the
disc is close to the brass cap. For both natural and LP, the maximum inlet pressure is 14 in wc (3.5 kPa).
WARNING
•DO NOT STORE SPARE LP-GAS CYLINDER UNDER OR NEAR THIS APPLIANCE.
•NEVER FILL THE CYLINDER BEYOND 80 PERCENT FULL. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE
FIRE, DEATH, OR SERIOUS INJURY MAY OCCUR.
