Safety Requirments
Used and cared for properly, your Primate Gas/Griddle Combo is going to give you years of suc-
cessful operation. Before use of your grill, please review the information in this manual thoroughly.
You’ll nd a signicant amount of information needed to maximize your safety, as well as the perfor-
mance and lifetime of your equipment.
Your Primate is so much more than just a gas grill. Your new equipment can be used to grill with di-
rect heat or diused heat, as a breakfast making beast or a steak searing champion! Don’t hesitate to
experiment with new foods, try cooking old standards in a new way or pass on the family tradition
to the next generation with this grill.

It’s important that you read all safety information in this manual before operating your Primate.
• e unit is for outdoor use only. Never use the Primate in an enclosed area.
• For safe assembly, use at least two people to unpack and assemble the grill.
• Keep young children and pets away from the grill while it’s in use.
• Always use heat-resistant hand wear when touching or handling the grill while it’s in use.
• Keep the grill at least two feet away from any combustible surface.
• Never use ammable liquids such as gasoline, charcoal lighter uid, kerosene or similar liquids
to start or freshen the re in your grill. Keep all such liquids well away from the unit while it is in
use.
• Clean the grill on a regular basis. Clean the unit’s grease drain oen to ensure the drain is able to
function properly. Should a grease re occur close the lid, turn the gas o, and wait until the re
extinguishes.
• Never attempt to service any part of your Primate while the unit is in use
• Check your Primate for gas or grease obstructions oen. is will help maintain proper service.
• Position your grill on level ground. e grill should be kept as level as possible so that the grease
ows into the trough.
• Never move the unit while it is hot and/or in operation. Make sure the re is completely out and
that the grill is completely cold before being transported.
• Never move the Primate when the gas valve is open.
• Ensure the gas valve is shut o when Primate is not in use.
