Connection
1. ConnecttheoneendofthedetachablepowercordtotheACsocket(22)andtheotherendtotheACoutlet.
2. Whenyoufirstplugtheunitintothemains,theunitwillgointostandbymode.TheStandbyLEDwilllightup
3. Turnontheunitbypressing“On/Standby”button(17).IftheLCDdisplay(8)isonwithbacklighting,itmeansthepower
supplyisnormal.Nowthesystemisreadytoplaythemusic.
DCconnection
ForDCoperation,pleaseinsert8pcssizeC(UM‐2)batteriesintothebattery
compartmentandremovetheACplugfromACtheoutletthendisconnecttheAC

Autotuning
1. SettheunittoFMmode.
2. Presstheautoscanbutton(18)once;theunitwillstarttoscanupwardsuntilaradiostationisreceived.Presstuningdown
button(11)onceandthenpresstheautoscanbutton(18),theunitwillscandownwards.Iftheradiodatasystem(RDS)
broadcastingsignalisreceived,theunitwillsettheactualtimeautomatically.

FMscansetting
Afterautotuningiftoomanyunwantedweakradiostationsarereceived,youcanselectstrongstationsonlybyfilteringoutthe
weakersignals.

TheunitwilldefaulttotheFMmodeinMono.Thus,ifFMstereosignalreceived,settheFMmodetoStereobypressMenu
button(12),thenpressSkipdown(11)orSkipup(19)buttontoselectAudiosetting,pressEnterbutton(10)and
pressSkipdown(11)orSkipup(19)againtoselectFMstereo,thenpressEnterbutton(10)toconfirm.When
stereosignalsareweakandnoisy.ItispreferabletochangetheFMmodebythesameprocedure.
Hintsforbestreception:‐
FM:thereceiverhasarodantenna(6)attherearcabinet.Itshouldbetotallyextendedforthebestreception.

lightupintheLCDdisplay(8).Pressagaintoresumenormalplayback.
Stopmode
1. IfStop button(10)ispressedduringplayorpausemode.Theunitwillgointostopmodeanddisplaythetotalnumberof
trackintheLCDdisplay(8).
Skipmode(skipup /skipdown )
1. Duringplaymode,ifskipup button(19)ispresseditwillgotonexttrackanddisplaythetracknumber.
2. Duringplaymode,ifSkipdownbutton(11)ispressed,itwillgobacktothebeginningofthetrack,sametracknumber.
3. Afterstep2,pressskipdownbutton(11)again,itwillgototheprevioustrackandplaythebeginningofthetrack.
CDbookmarkfeature
This unit has a CD bookmark feature, which allows you to resume the CD playback from the exact point that
it was suspended from an unexpected power off or change of mode. Just power on the unit, and switch to
CD mode, the CD will resume the playback from the previous point.
ForMP3disc/file
1. PlacetheMP3‐CDintheCDcompartment.AfterasearchisperformedthetotalnumberoftrackswillbeshownontheLCD
display(8).
2. PressSkipup orSkipdown(11/19)buttontoselectthetracknumber.
3. Whenthedesiredtrackandalbumisbeingselected,pressthe“Play/Pause”button(18)tostartplayback.

5. Repeatsteps3and4toenteradditionaltracksintothememoryifnecessary.
6. Whenallthedesiredtrackshavebeenprogrammed,press“Play/Pause”button(18)toplaythediscintheorderyou
haveprogrammed.
7. Press“Stop”button(10)toterminateprogramplay.
Press“Stop ”buttontwice(10)atCDstopmodetocancelallprogrammedmemoryuntilthe“Prog”indicatordisappearon
LCDdisplay(8).
ForMP3disc/file,pressthe“Folderup”button(20)toselectthe1sttrackofnextfolderdirectlyandhencetospeedupthe
songselection.
Theprogrammingmodewillautomaticallystopifnobuttonisbeingpressedinaperiodofabout30secondsafterpressing
theMemorybutton(12).

PlaybackofMP3songviaUSBstoragemedia
Connecting
ThesystemisabletodecodeandplaybackallMP3fileswhicharestoredinmemorymediausingtheUSBport.
1. SetthesystemtoStandbymodefirstoranyotherfunctionexceptUSBmode.
2. Plug‐intheUSBpen‐drivewiththefaceupandmakesureitsfullyinserted.
ConnectingtheUSBpen‐driveupsidedownorbackwardscoulddamagetheaudiosystemorthestoragemedia.Checkto
besurethedirectioniscorrectbeforeconnection.
3. TurnontheunitagainbyOn/offbutton(17)andsetpressFunctionbutton(9)toselectUSBmode.Thesystemwillstart

readingthestoragemediaautomaticallyafterconnecting,andLCDdisplay(8)willshowthetotalnumberofMP3filesbeing
detected.

Remark
- ThesystemcandetectandreadthefilesunderMP3formatonlyinUSBmodebutnotothermusicfileformats.
- IfyouconnectthesystemtoanMP3playerviatheUSBsocket,duetovariancesinfilesystemformats,someMP3players
maynotbeabletoplayviatheUSBsocket.Thisisnotamalfunctionofthesystem.
- TheUSBportdoesnotsupportconnectionwithaUSBextensioncableandisnotdesignedforcommunicationwith
computer.
- DuetoERPstagetworequirementsandtoprotecttheenvironment(forEuropeanmarketonly).Theunitwillswitchto
standbymodeautomaticallyifnomusicisdetectedplayingforover15minutes.
RemovingofUSB
ToremovetheUSBstick,turnoffthepowerorswitchthefunctionmodetoeithercdortunermodefirst,thenun‐plugitby
pullingouttheUSBsocketdirectly
Bluetooth connecting and playback
1. Press the Function button (9) to select “BT / AUX” mode.
2. If the Aux-in jack is not connected, the system will switch to BT mode automatically and “BT “with the flashing of
“Pairing” will be shown on the LCD display (8). It means the Bluetooth is in searching mode.
5. Switch on theBluetooth feature of your Bluetooth device (such as mobile phone) and select “GV-PS933” Bluetooth
equipment to connect.
6. Once connected successfully, the LCD display (8) will show “BT Connected “.
Start playback from your Bluetooth device and enjoy the music.
7. Adjust the Volume Up/Down button (14) to desired volume level.
8. To disconnect the Bluetooth connection, turn off the Bluetooth feature of your Bluetooth device. The LCD display
will show “BT “with the flashing of “Pairing” for pairing of a new device or switch off the unit.

ForFM/DABwakeup,thesystemwillpresettothelastradiofrequencybeinglistenedtoobeforeswitchingoff.
Ifwakeuptobuzzerisselected,theunitwillemita“beepbeep”soundattheselectedtime.
Thereareabout4secondsforthealarmsettingmode,thissystemwillreturntonormalmodeautomaticallyifnokeysare
beingpressedinthistimeframe.
