ON PLACEMENT
• Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or humid.

• When left in a heated room where it is warm and damp, water droplets or condensation may form inside the CD player.
• When there is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally.

USING HOUSE CURRENT
Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltageofyourunitmatches
yourlocalvoltage.
USING BATTERIES
Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC inlet of the
unit. Battery power is cut automatically by the cord while
it is connected.

When the volume decrease, or the sound distorts, replace
all of the batteries with new ones.

FOR PRIVATE LISTENING
Plug in headphones (ø3.5 mm stereo mini-plug) to the
PHONES jack.

FOR BETTER RECEPTION

COMPACT DISC PLAYBACK
1. Set to CD
2. OpenthedischolderbypushingtheOpen/Close
CD button.
3. Insertadiscwiththelabelsidefacingup.
4. Close the CD door.
The disc will rotate and the total tracks of the disc
will show on the display.
5. Press the Play/Pause button.
"PLAY " & Track number "1" will be shown.
FUNCTION
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP button and the display shows the total
tracks of the disc.
TO INTERRUPT PLAYBACK
Press the Play/ Pause button and the word " PLAY
"willbeashed.Pressthebuttonagaintoresume
playback.
TO SKIP TO THE BEGINNING OF A TRACK
• Presseitheroneoftheskipbuttonsaccordingtothe
desired skip direction.
• Play/back resumes from the selected track.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,theprevioustrackstartsagain.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,thenexttrackplays.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE WITHIN A TRACK
• Keeptheorbuttonpressedduringplayback,andreleasethebuttonassoonasyourecognisethedesired
passage.ThennormalCDplaybackwillresumefromthispoint.

1. FMstereoLEDindicatorlightsifreceiveFMstereobroardcastand
the MODE switch set on "FM STEREO".
2. WhentoomuchnoiseisheardduringFMSTEREOreception,
set MODE switch to FM mono.
AFTER LISTENING
Set the FUNCTION selector to TAPE.
Unit will be automatically off after 15mins without any operation (in stop mode / CD door open).

8. Open the CD door or turn off the CD player to clear

guaranteed.

writingsoftware,mediaability,etc.
- Do not attach a seal or label to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. It may cause a malfunction.

PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK
Programmedplaybackenablestracksonadisctobe
played in the desired order. Up to 20 tracks can be
programmed.
1. Press the " PROGRAM " button.
2. Press the " NEXT/FF " and " BACK/FB " buttons to
select the desired track number.
3. Press"PROGRAM"buttonagaintomemorizethe
track.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired tracks are
programmed.
5. Press the " PLAY/PAUSE " button to start.
"PROGRAM"isashingontheCDdisplay.
6. Press"STOP"buttontostopprogrammedplayback.
BASS BOOST
To enjoy a BASS BOOST sound effect,
press X-BASS button. X-BASS

CLEANING CD
IftheCDskipsorwillnotplay,thediscmayneedcleaning
.Beforeplaying,wipethediscfromthecentreoutwitha
cleaningcloth.Afterplaying,storethediscinitscase.
CLEANING THE UNIT
Donotusevolatilechemicalsonthisunit.Cleanbylightly
wipingwithasoftcloth.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Ifanabnormaldisplayindicationoranoperatingproblem
occurs, disconnect the AC power cord and remove the
batteries. Wait at least 5 seconds, then reconnect the AC
power cord or reinstall the batteries.
WARNING
ShouldtheCDdoorbeopenedbeforethereadingofthe
CDcompleted,ajammingnoisemayoccur.Thisisresolved
byclosingtheCDdoor.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE TAPE HEADS
To maintain optimum sound quality, clean the playback
heads ( a ) ,pinch rollers (b), and capstans (c) regularly
(every10hoursofuse).Useacottonswablightlymoistened
withcleaninguidordenaturedalcohol.

CLEANING THE CD LENS
If the CD lens is dusty, clean it with a brush-blower. Blow
several times on the lens and remove the dust with the
brush.Fingerprintsmayberemovedwithacottonswab
moistened with alcohol.

other mode in order to switch on the unit again.
