Safety Instructions
1. Please read these operating instructions carefully before you operate this unit.
2. Do not use this television near water.
3. Clean with a dry cloth only, to clean up dust, water drops or smudges from the screen
or cabinet. Also make sure you disconnect the TV when you are cleaning the unit.
4. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturers’
instructions.
5. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
6. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the power
point and the TV power Input.
7. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
8. Unplug this television during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of
time.
9. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the
television has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord or plug has been
damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the television, the television
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
10. The television should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no objects
filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the television.
11. Beware, if the television is to be built into a compartment or similar enclosed space,
heat build-up can occur and can reduce the service life of your television and can be
dangerous. Make sure you leave plenty of space around the unit.
12. If there is a sudden change in temperature or humidity, or when warm air comes
into contact with any cold parts in the unit, condensation may form. Placing the unit in a
warm room to dry out any condensation, this may take 1 to 2 hours, depending on
environmental conditions. Once condensation disappears, the unit will return to normal
functions.
13. Never tamper with any components inside the TV, or any other adjustment controls
not mentioned in this manual.
14. During thunder and lighting, unplug the power cord and antenna cord to prevent
damage to your TV.

15. All repairs to this TV should only be performed by a qualified technician.

Installation Notes
This TV can be connected to AC 100-240 Volts, 50/60 Hz power source. Never
connect straight to a DC supply or any other power supply, then specified
above.
Locate the TV in the room where light does not directly strike the screen.
Total darkness or a reflection on the picture screen can cause eyestrain. Soft
and indirect lighting is recommended for comfortable viewing.
Allow enough space between the TV and the wall to permit ventilation.
Avoid excessively warm locations to prevent possible damage to the cabinet or
premature component failure.
Do not cover the ventilation openings when using the TV.

TV Stand Installation
The Meglio HD LED TV comes with its base stand attached. To easily disassemble
the TV stand, please open the plastic stand cap as shown in the middle picture
below. Then unscrew the four stand screws. Once these have been removed you
can now remove the stand as shown in the last picture.
To re-attach the stand please follow the attached directions in reverse.
Wall Mount Bracket Installation
This TV is VESA standard wall mountable. Please see above an image of the 4 VESA
standard holes (100mm x 100mm). The wall mount bracket and screws are not
included with your TV. However to attach your bracket use the 4 holes provided to
screw your bracket to your TV. You will also have to remove the stand.

Functions
1. Power Indicator
In Power On Mode the indicator will turn off. In
Standby mode the indicator will turn white.
2. Remote Sensor
Receives the remote signals from the remote
control.
3. MENU
Touch MENU to enter the Main Menu.
4. CH+
Touch CH+ to scroll upwards through the channel
list.
5. CH-
Touch CH- to scroll downward through the
channel list.
6. VOL+
Touch VOL+ to increase the volume level.
7. VOL-
Touch VOL- to decrease the volume level.
Note: In main Menu, touch Vol+/- to change a
sub-Menu. Touch CH+/- to enter the sub-Menu
and then touch it repeatedly to select the item
you want to adjust or set. Touch VOL+/- to enter
the particular item and then adjust or change the
setting.
8. SOURCE
Touch SOURCE repeatedly to select the Input
source, and then touch Vol+ to confirm.
9. Power
Touch POWER to turn on or turn off the TV.
10. DC Input
The DC Input allows you to connect your DC 12
Volt power supply.
11. USB Input
The USB Input enables you to insert your USB &
play/view DivX, MPEG, MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV,
WMV, JPEG, BMP, WMA, MP3, AC3, AAC files.
12. HDMI1 Input
The HDMI Input allows you to connect your HDMI
Cable for greater definition.
13. HDMI2 Input
The HDMI Input allows you to connect your HDMI
Cable for greater definition.
14. Y Input
The Y Input must be connected for a component
connection.
15. Pb Input
The Pb Input must be connected for a component
connection.
16. Pr Input
The Pr Input must be connected for a component
connection.
17. PC Audio IN
The PC Audio Input allows you to connect your TV to
your PC to use as a monitor and enable the sound for
movies etc.
18. VGA Input
The VGA Input allows you to connect your TV to your
PC to use as a monitor or view movies.
19. DVD Disc Slot
The DVD Disc Tray allows you to load your DVD Disc
for playback.

To connect the external aerial.
21. Audio Input
The AV Audio Input (Left) must be connected with
the white cable for a composite connection.
22. Audio Input
The AV Audio Input (Right) must be connected with
the red cable for a composite connection.
23. CVBS Video Input
The CVBS Input must be connected with the yellow
cable in both composite & component connections.
24. Headphone Output
To connect headphones for private listening.
25. Coaxial Output
The Coaxial Out allows you to connect the TV to your
surround sound system.

Remote Control Key Functions
1. Standby Button: Press the Standby Button to switch the TV on or off.
2. Numeric Buttons: Press the Numeric Buttons to select a channel or select a
page or select a track number in DVD mode.
3. FAV Button: Press the FAV Button to display the Favourite Menu in DTV mode.
4. Aspect Button: Press the Aspect Button to scroll through & select the picture
size.
5. Picture Button: Press the Picture Button to enter the picture mode.
6. Navigation Button: Press the Left arrow to scroll up through the Menus,
or to decrease the volume level.
7. Menu Button: Press the Menu Button to view the Main Menu.
8. Intro/Green Button: Press the Green Button to play the first 10 seconds of
each track in DVD mode, or to display green subject in Teletext mode or
sub-Menus.
9. Red/PROG Button: Press the Red Button to enter program setting in DTV
mode, display red subject in Teletext mode and sub-Menus.
10. VOL+ Button: Press the VOL+ Button to increase the volume level.
11. VOL- Button: Press the VOL- Button to decrease the volume level.
12. Teletext Button: Press the Text Button to enter the Teletext Menu.
13. DVD.M Button: Press the DVD.M to display the DVD Disc Menu.
14. Rewind Button: Press the Rewind Button to rewind play in DVD mode.
15. Skip Backwards Button: Press the Skip Backwards Button to go back to the
previous chapter.
16. Eject Button: Press the Eject Button to eject your disc from DVD mode.
17. CH.LIST Button: Press the Channel List Button to show the channel list.
18. Pre CH Button: Press the Pre Ch Button to return to the previous channel
viewed.
19. INFO Button: Press the INFO Button to view the current program information.
20. EPG Button: Press the EPG Button to display the Electronic Program Guide.
21. Sound Button: Press the Sound Button to select through the different sound
modes selections.

22. Navigation Button: Press the Up arrow to scroll up through the Menus, or
to scroll upwards through the channel list.
23. OK Button: Press the OK Button to confirm settings.
24. ►Navigation Button: Press the Right arrow to scroll up through the Menus,
or to increase the volume level.
25. Navigation Button: Press the Down arrow to scroll up through the Menus,
or to scroll downwards through the channel list.
26. EXIT: Press the Exit Button to exit Menu settings.
27. Yellow /REPEAT Button: Press the Yellow Button to repeat play, or to display
yellow subject in Teletext or in the sub-Menu.
28. Blue/A-B Button: Press the Blue Button to repeat A-B playback or display blue
subject in Teletext or in the sub-Menu.
29. Record Button: Press the Record Button to record a TV program.
30. Ch+ Button: Press the Ch+ Button to scroll upwards through the channel list.
31. Mute Button: Press the Mute Button to turn off and on the sound, only.
32. Ch- Button: Press the Ch-Button to scroll downwards through the channel
list.
33. DVD Setup Button: Press the DVD Setup Button to display the Set Up Menu in
DVD mode.
34. SUB Button: Press the Sub Button to switch the dialogue at the bottom of the
screen.
35. Goto Button: Press the Goto Button to select a subpage in the Teletext Menu.
36. Stop Button: Press the Stop Button to stop play in DVD mode and stop
recording in or Time shift PVR mode.
37. Fast Forward Button: Press the Fast Forward Button to fast forward play in
DVD mode and Fast Forward recording in or Time shift PVR mode.
38. Play/Pause Button: Press the Play/Pause Button in DVD mode to pause or
play in DVD mode and Play Pause recording in or Time shift PVR mode.
39. Skip Forward Button: Press the Skip Forward Button to skip to the next
chapter in DVD mode and Skip Forward recording in or Time shift PVR mode.

Remote Control Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA batteries. Below are steps to assist you with
replacing the batteries.
1. Open the back cover of the battery compartment.
2. Install the batteries into the battery tray. There is +/- polarity marking in the
battery compartment. Please ensure the polarity is correct.
3. Close the battery cover.
Caution:
1. Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.
2. Don’t attempt to recharge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat up or throw batteries
into a fire.
3. Always replace both batteries at the same time. Never mix new and old batteries
or batteries of a different type.
4. If you don’t intend to use the remote control for an extended period, remove the
batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.
Notes:
Do not drop, shake or step on the remote control.
Do not spill water on the remote control.
Aim the remote control directly at the remote sensor, for best use.
If the TV does not operate when operating the remote control from a close
range, you need to replace the batteries.
Installation and Connection
1. Connect the TV RF source (your external aerial - antenna /satellite TV/CATV net)
to the RF IN port as shown below. You can use 75Ω coaxial cable to connect an
outdoor antenna.

2. Ensure you connect your Right and Left audio sources (including DVD, VCR,
Camcorder and PC) to the Left and Right Audio Input jacks ‘L’ and ‘R’.
3. To connect your video sources (including DVD, VCR or Camcorder) you must
connect them to the Video Input via the RCA Cable.
4. YPbPr Component Video Input should be connected with the YPbPr Video
Output of your DVD, VCR or Camcorder.
5. HDMI Input should be connected with the HDMI Output of your DVD, VCR or
Camcorder. This TV has two HDMI Inputs.

6. VGA Input should be connected with the VGA Output of your PC to use this TV as
a monitor. There is also a PC Audio Input for your connection with PC.
7. Coaxial Output should be connected with the Coaxial Input of your audio
amplifier.
8. This product has a Headphone Output to connect your headphones for your
private listening.
9. Insert the power cord to the AC/DC adapter, and then connect the DC jack to the
DC 12V IN socket.
Notes:
After AV, YPBPR or HDMI is selected ensure the Video Output from your
connected accessory (for example DVD player) is set to corresponding video
mode.
CVBS and YPbPR are sharing the same Right/Left audio Input.
Basic Operations
1) Touch POWER on the unit or press the STANDBY Button on the remote control
to turn the TV on or off. The GRUNDIG brand logo light will be turned off when
the unit has been powered on. When the unit is in Standby mode the Grundig
brand will be illuminated. You can change the logo light setting in the Setup
Menu.
2) If you are using the television for the first time, the Installation Guide below will
be displayed to guide you through the initial channel scan. You can press
Navigation Buttons to select an OSD (ON Screen Display) option i.e. language or
Country. Then press the OK Button to confirm. When you have selected the
options in the Installation Guide DTV Auto Tuning will then start automatically.

3) After auto tuning, the amount of programs found and stored will be shown on
the display and the first channel (channel "1") will begin to play automatically.
4) To change between Digital TV (DTV) and Analog TV (ATV), press the SOURCE
Button on the remote control to select the preferred mode.
5) To change the channel in either mode, press the CH+/CH- Button or press the
CH. List Button to see the Channel List. Press the UP/DOWN Navigation
Buttons & OK Button find and confirm the channel you want to watch. You
can press Numeric Buttons on remote to select the channel directly. To go
back to the last channel you where watching you can press the PRE CH Button
on the remote control.
6) To adjust the volume, press the VOL+/- to increase or decrease the sound
level.
7) Press the MUTE Button to turn off the sound only and press it again to turn
on the sound again.
8) Press the PICTURE Button repeatedly to cycle through the available video
picture modes.
9) Press the SOUND Button repeatedly to cycle through the available sound

modes.
10) Press the INFO Button to display the information of the channel playing. Press
the Up or Down arrow to scroll up through the information. Press the Right
arrow to display the information of the next channel, and press the Left arrow
to return to the information of the current channel.
11) To change the source input to watch a connected accessory or play a DVD or
connected media, press the SOURCE Button and then press the ▲or ▼
Navigation Buttons to scroll through and select the available input sources as
follows:
Teletext
To view the TV Teletext Menu you must be watching or in DTV mode. The Teletext
Menu will provide you with further detailed information about the program you are
watching. To enter the Teletext Menu press the TELETEXT Button. Press the CH+/-
or Numeric Buttons to select the page you wish to view. Note: When using the
Numeric Buttons the first number should not be ‘0’ or ‘9’. To exit just press the
TELETEXT Button again
Main Menu Operations
Press the MENU Button and then the Navigation Buttons on the remote control to
select the sub-Menus or the options you want to change. Then press the OK Button
to confirm. Press the MENU Button when you want to return to the previous Menu,
and press the EXIT Button to exit Menu setting.

Channel Menu
The TV Channel Menu will allow you to change the channel setting or search for
new or weak stations with access to Auto Tuning, ATV Manual Tuning, DTV Manual
Tuning, Programme Edit and Signal Information.
To enter the TV Channel Menu press the MENU Button and the Channel Menu will
appear. Press the OK Button to enter.
Press the ▲or▼Buttons to select a below sub-Menu and then press the OK
Button to confirm. To exit the Channel Menu, press the Menu Button.
Auto Tuning
Once Auto Tuning is selected, you will see an OSD below. Tune Type is highlighted
above. Press the Navigation Buttons to select DTV, ATV or ATV+DTV tuning type &
Country (Australia is the default).Then press the OK to confirm and Auto Tuning will
begin automatically. During Auto Tuning you can press the MENU or EXIT Button to
exit.

ATV Manual Tuning
Use the ▼or ▲Buttons to select ATV Manual Tuning in the Channel Menu. Then
press the ◄or ►Buttons to select the individual ATV channel (frequency) you wish
to store. Then use the Arrow Buttons to highlight the search option and press ok,
this will activate the manual tune. If the picture is not so clear you can use the
Arrow Buttons to highlight the Fine-Tune option and select Fine-Tune.
Notes:
You need to set the Color System and Sound System before manual tuning.
For Australia, color system is PAL, and sound system is BG.
DTV Manual Tuning
Use the ▼or ▲Buttons to select DTV Manual Tuning in the Channel Menu. Then press
the ◄or ►Buttons to select the individual DTV channel you wish to store and press the
OK Button to begin search. Press the Menu Button to return to previous Menu or press
the EXIT Button to exit.

Programme Edit
Press the ▲or▼Buttons to select Programme Edit in the Channel Menu. Then
press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. Then you will need to select the
programme you wish to edit, press the ▲or▼Buttons to do so. Press either the
FAV, BLUE or RED Buttons to set the channel to the Favourite, Skip or Delete list
respectively.
Note: If you want to view the Favorite Channel List you need to exit Program Edit
Menu and then press the FAV Button.
Signal Information (Only for DTV)
Press the ▼/ ▲Buttons to select the Signal Information in the Channel Menu. Then
press the OK Button to show the related information of the current channel.
Picture Menu
To enter the Picture Menu, press the MENU Button and then press the ◄or ►
Buttons to select the Picture Menu. Press the OK Button to enter.
Once in the Picture Menu, press the ▲or ▼Buttons to select the options you wish
to adjust. Press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. To return to the Main Menu,
press the MENU Button, or press the EXIT Button to exit.
