Your gasoline Hedge Trimmer has many fea-
tures that will make your job faster and easier.
Safety, performance and reliability have been
given for top priority designing of this tool,
qualities to make easier its maintain and its
operation.
WARNING: Carefully read the entire man-
ual before attempting to use this tool.
Be sure to pay special attention to the safety
rules and all the warnings and cautions of this
manual.
WARNING: Read and understand all instruc-
tions. Failure to follow all indications listed
below may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious personal injury.

+ WHAT TO DO
READ YOUR USER MANUAL AND ALL SUPPLE-
MENTS (IF ANY ENCLOSED) THOROUGHLY BE-
FORE OPERATING YOUR UNIT.
1. WEAR CLOSE FITTING, TOUGH WORK
CLOTHING that will provide protection, such
as long slacks or trousers, safety work shoes,
heavy-duty work gloves, hard hat, a safety face
shield, or safety glasses for eye protection and
a good grade of earplugs or other sound barri-
ers for hearing protection.
2. REFUEL IN A SAFE PLACE. Open fuel cap
slowly to release any pressure which may have
formed in fuel tank. Always wipe unit of fuel
or oil spills before starting. To prevent a fire
hazard, move at least 10 feet (3 meters) from
fuelling area before starting.
3. TURN UNIT OFF before setting it down,
and also before installing or removing attach-
ments.
4. KEEP ALL SCREWS AND FASTENERS TIGHT
and the unit in good operating condition.
Never operate this equipment if it is improp-
erly adjusted or not completely and securely
assembled.
5. KEEP HANDLES DRY, clean and free of fuel
mixture.
6. STORE EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM POSSIBLE
IGNITION SOURCES, such as gas-powered wa-
ter heaters, clothes dryers, or oil-fired furnaces,
portable heaters, etc.
7. ALWAYS KEEP the blades free of stuck
branches and clean blades.
8. OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT should always
be restricted to mature and properly instructed
individuals.
9. ALL PERSONS WITH RESPIRATORY PROB-
LEMS and persons operating hedge trimmer in
very dusty environments, should wear a dust
particle mask at all times. Paper dust masks are
available at most paint and hardware stores.
10. When using this product for the first time,
you should practice in a wide, bright place.
+ WHAT NOT TO DO
1. DO NOT SMOKE while refuelling or operat-
ing equipment.
2. DO NOT USE this hedge trimmer, under the
influence of alcohol, when suffering from ex-
haustion or lack of sleep.
3. DUE TO THE DANGER of exhaust fumes,
never operate hedge trimmer in a confined or
poorly ventilated area.
4. DO NOT set a hot engine down where flam-
mable material is present.
5. DO NOT OPERATE UNIT FOR PROLONGED PE-
RIODS. Limit the amount of time if the hedge-
trimmer is going to be used continuously, after
using about 30 to 40 minutes, have it rest at
least ten to twenty minutes (try to keep the to-
tal amount of work performed in a single day
under two hours or less).
6. DO NOT OPERATE UNIT WHILE UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
7. DO NOT operate your unit near or around
flammable liquids or gases whether in or out
of doors. An explosion and/or fire may result.
8. DO NOT WEAR loose clothing, scarves, neck
chains, unconfined long hair, and the like. Do-
ing so could cause injury associated with ob-
jects being drawn into the rotating parts.
9. DO NOT refuel a running engine or an en-
gine that is hot.
10. Never allow children to operate the appli-
ance.
11. DO NOT USE when the ground is slippery
or when other conditions exist which might
make it impossible to maintain a steady pos-
ture while using.
12. DO NOT USE at times when your field of vi-
sion might be limited and it would be difficult
to have a clear view of the area.
NOTE: Lack of sleep tiredness or physical ex-
haustion results in lower attention spans, and
this in turn lead to accident and injury.
SAFE HANDLING OF GASOLINE
Use extreme care in handling gasoline. Gaso-
line is extremely flammable and the vapours
are explosive.

• Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and
other sources of ignition.
• Use only an approved container.
• Never remove gas cap or add fuel with the
engine running. Allow engine to cool before
refuelling.
• Never refuel the machine indoors.
• Never store the machine or fuel container
where there is an open flame, spark or pilot
light such as a water heater or on other ap-
pliances.
• Never ll containers inside a vehicle, on a
truck or trailer bed with a plastic liner. Always
place containers on the ground away from
your vehicle before filling. Remove gas-pow-
ered equipment from the truck or trailer and
refuel it on the ground, if this is not possible,
then refuel such equipment with a portable
container, rather than from a gasoline dis-
penser nozzle.
• Keep the nozzle in contact with the rim of
the fuel tank or container opening at all times
until fuelling is complete. Do not use a nozzle
lock-open device.
• If fuel is spilled on clothing, change clothing
immediately.
• Never overll fuel tank. Replace gas cap and
tighten securely.
FUEL
Use regular grade unleaded gasoline mixed
with 2-strokes engine oil.
WARNING: Use a premium grade oil for
2-strokes air-cooled engines mixed at a 20:1
ratio. Do not use any 2-strokes oil product with
any other recommended mixing ratio. If insuf-
ficient lubrication is the cause of engine dam-
age, it’ll cause a void in the warranty.
WARNING: Never use straight gasoline in
your unit. This will cause permanent engine
damage and void the warranty for the prod-
uct. Never use a fuel mixture that has been
stored for over 30 days.
WARNING: Never add water since the car-
burettor and engine will corrode.
WARNING: If you use oil for 4-stroke en-
gine this will cause the spark plug to foul, the
exhaust port blocking or piston ring sticking.
Never use oil for 4-stroke motor.
MIXING FUEL
Add the oil to an approved
fuel container followed by
the gasoline to allow incom-
ing gasoline to mix with oil
in a ratio of 20:1. Shake the
container to ensure thor-
ough mix.
WARNING: Lack of lubrication voids engine
warranty.
NOTE: As a recommendation, use the 134001 &
134002 Surtek 2-strokes oil for the motor.
WHEN REFUELLING
IMPORTANT: Add fuel at an 80% of fuel tank
capacity.
RECOMMENDED FUEL
Some conventional gasoline is being blended
with oxygenates such as alcohol or an ether
compound to meet clean air standards. Your
Hedge-Trimmer engine is designed to operate
satisfactorily on any gasoline intended for au-
tomotive use including oxygenated gasoline.

PREPARING ENGINE
Make sure that the motor is full prepared and
fuel tank cap is not loosened.
CAUTION: Never start the motor indoors,
because of the CO² gases. Keep hands, feet,
hair and loose clothing away from the moving
parts.
Fill fuel tank with proper fuel and oil mix-
ture. See FUEL AND LUBRICATION. Set unit on
ground so that it rests on the back pack frame.
STARTING A COLD ENGINE
1. Place hedge trimmer on a firm flat surface
2. Press switch in the ON position “ I ”
3. Prime the carburetor. Pump the primer bulb

4. Your unit is designed with a 2 position
choke, “CHOKE”, “OPEN”. Move choke lever
to CHOKE “ ” position
5. Grip handle firmly.
6. Pull starter rope briskly 4 times. A smooth
rapid pull is required for a strong spark
7. After engine starts and after 10 seconds
warm-up move choke lever to OPEN “ ” po-
sition
NOTE: Always pull starter rope straight out.
Pulling starter at an angle will cause rope to
rub against the eyelet. This friction will cause
the rope to fray and wear more quickly. Always
hold starter handle when rope retracts. Never
let a rope snap back from extended position.
This could cause rope to snag or fray and also
damage the starter assembly.
STARTING A WARM ENGINE
1. Make sure the choke it’s on OPEN position
2. Follow step 2 & 6 of STARTING A COLD EN-
GINE section.
TO STOP ENGINE
To stop motor release throttle valve and press
the switch in the OFF position “ 0 ”
IMPORTANT!
When operating, if the hedge trimmer blades
suddenly stops please check:
· If the branches are too rough; choose to trim-
mer branches below 8 mm.
· If the cutting is worsen; check if the blade is
wear or the gap between the blade is too big.
USING THE HANDLE
While cutting branches, in order to make accu-
rated cuts, double-edge trimmer can be swivel
from 0˚ to 90˚ to the left or right.
Proceed as follows:
NOTE: The hedge trimmer can be running
when changing the handle angle (but not
functioning).
1. Hold firmly the front handle, without action-
ing the starter, pull bracket to liberate the han-
dle and rotate (to 45˚ or 90˚ to the left or right).
2. Release the bracket
when the handle is
well positioned.
3. You can start work-
ing after the bracket
and handle is locked
in a position.
WARNING: Before making any inspection
or adjustment make sure that hedge trimmer
is stopped. Not following this recommendation
will lead to accidents and personal injuries.
• The blades are very sharp, a wrong operation
will lead to accident or personal injuries, please
follow safety rules along with the recommen-
dations of this manual, thus please read this
manual carefully.
• Never let the blades get close to the body or
others.
• Clean stuck branches from the blades (mak-
ing sure the blades and the trimmer stop func-
tioning).
• When operating make sure to use proper and
security clothing such as gloves, googles and
ear protection.
OPERATION
1. While trimming, you should go along with
the trimming cut (forward). As a safety recom-
mendation it’s not allowed to go backwards
since this may cause you tripping.
2. Ensure that you operate in normal environ-
ment, keep yourself away from rocks, thick
branches, hard wood, wires, plastics, etc.
3. Never use this machine for branches above
8 mm of thickness.
CAUTION: Make sure to stop the engine and
leave it cool down before making any inspec-
tion or maintenance.
AIR CLEANER SERVICE
NOTE: Every 25 hours of use give maintenance
to the air cleaner.
A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the
carburetor. To prevent carburetor malfunction,
service the air cleaner regularly. Service more

frequently when operating the pump in ex-
tremely dusty areas.
Never use gasoline or low flash point solvents
for cleaning the air cleaner element. A fire or
explosion could result.
IMPORTANT: Never run the engine without the
air cleaner.
Remove the air cleaner cover and remove the
air cleaner filter.
Wash the air cleaner filter in kerosene, then
rinse thoroughly. Allow the element to dry
thoroughly.
Soak the element in clean engine oil, and
squeeze out the excess oil.
Reinstall the air cleaner.
FUEL CLEANER
NOTE: Is recommended that after 25 hours of
use give maintenance to the fuel cleaner, take
the machine to a service center.
A clogged fuel cleaner will reduce the engine
speed and cause unstableness.
SPARK PLUG SERVICE
To ensure proper engine operation, the spark
plug must be properly gapped and free of de-
posits.
1. Remove the spark plug.
NOTE: If the engine has been running, the
muffler will be very hot. Be careful not to
touch the muffler.
2. Visually inspect the spark
plug. Discard it if the insu-
lator is cracked or chipped.
Clean the spark plug with a
wire brush if it is to be re-
used.
NOTE: Measure the plug
gap with a feeler gauge.
The gap should be 0,6 - 0,7
mm. Correct as necessary by
bending the side electrode.
3. Check that the spark plug washer is in good
condition, and thread the spark plug in by
hand to prevent cross-threading.
4. After the spark plug is seated, tighten with
a spark plug wrench to compress the washer.
IMPORTANT: The spark plug must be securely
tightened. An improperly tightened plug can
become very hot and damage the engine.
Never use a spark plug with an improper heat
range.
GEAR CASE
Take the machite to a service center after 20
hours of work for them to grease the gear case.
BLADE
Keep blades lubricated. After every 1 to 2
hours of use add grease to the blade, follow
the next recommendations for lubrication:

low speed, make sure
that both blades have
a separation of 2 mm,
add oil as shown in
the illustration.
2. Start running again
slowly then keep
them with a 2 mm of
separation and oil it
again.
3. Finally, make sure
that both blades
match and add oil at
the tips of the blade.
MUFFLER
After 50 hours of use, remove the muffler, clear
the inner carbon deposit with screw driver, at
the same time clean the carbon of the outlet
pipe. Reinstall muffler.
1. Perform all the general maintenance.
2. Clean outside surface of unit.
3. Drain fuel from the fuel tank.
4. After fuel is drained, start engine.
5. Run engine at idle until unit stops.
6. Allow engine to cool (approx. 5 minutes).
7. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark
plug.
8. Pour 1 teaspoon of clean 2-strokes oil into
the combustion chamber. Pull starter rope
slowly several times to coat internal compo-
nents. Replace spark plug.

9. Apply anti-rust oil to the metal parts, put the
cover on the blades and store unit in a cool, dry
place away from any source of ignition such as
an oil burner, water heater, etc.
REMOVING A UNIT FROM STORAGE
1. Remove spark plug.
2. Pull starter rope briskly to clear excess oil
from combustion chamber.
3. Clean and gap spark plug or install a new
spark plug with proper gap.
4. Prepare unit for operation.
5. Fill fuel tank with proper fuel / oil mixture,
see FUEL AND LUBRICATION SECTION.

1. VISTA CON ROPA ADECUADA que proporcione
protección al usuario, tales como pantalones
largos, zapatos de seguridad (antideslizantes),
guantes de trabajo pesado, casco, un escudo
de seguridad, o gafas de protección ocular y un
buen grado de auriculares u otras barreras de
sonido para protección auditiva.
2. REABASTEZCA DE COMBUSTIBLE EN UN
LUGAR SEGURO. Abra lentamente el tapón
de combustible para liberar toda la presión
que pudo haberse formado en el depósito
de combustible. Siempre limpie la unidad de
cualquier derrame de aceite o combustible antes
de encenderla. Para prevenir un incendio, alejese
al menos 10 pies (3 metros) de la zona donde se
reabastecio antes de comenzar la operación.
3. APAGUE EL EQUIPO antes de dejarlo a un lado
y también antes de instalar o remover accesorios.

calentadores portátiles etc.
7. SIEMPRE MANTENGA el motor libre de

8. EL FUNCIÓNAMIENTO DEL EQUIPO debe ser
restringido a el uso de personas no capacitadas.
9. A LOS OPERARIOS CON PROBLEMAS
RESPIRATORIOS y los que operan el cortasetos
en lugares con polvo excesivo se deberá utilizar
una mascara de protección.
10. OPERE EL CORTASETOS en horas razonables,
no muy temprano en la mañana ni muy tarde
por la noche debido a que puede incomodar a
las personas que están descansando.
11. Opere la máquina en el nivel mas bajo posible
al realizar el trabajo.
+ QUE NO HACER
IMPORTANTE: No use otro combustible que no
sea el que se menciona en este manual. Nunca
use gasolina pura, asegúrese de realizar una
mezcla con aceite para motor de 2-tiempos, de
no hacerlo el motor tendra daños permanentes.
1. NO FUME mientras esta operando o
reabasteciendo la máquina.
2. NO UTILIZE este cortasetos, bajo la influencia
de alcohol, cuando sufra de cansancio excesivo o
con falta de sueño.
3. NO TOQUE o deje que sus manos o cuerpo
entren en contacto con el escape caliente o la
bujía.
4. DEBIDO AL PELIGRO y humos excesivos, nunca
opere en lugares pobremente ventilados.
5. NO COLOQUE la unidad con el motor caliente
en presencia de materiales inflamables.
7. NO OPERE POR PERIODOS PROLONGADOS.
Limite el uso del cortasetos si lo va a utilizar por
mucho tiempo, se recomienda que después de
30 a 40 minutos lo deje descansar por lo menos
de 10 a 20 minutos (trate de que la cantidad
trabajada se haga en un solo dia bajo un periodo
de trabajo de 1 a 2 horas).
8. NO OPERE EL EQUIPO SI SE ENCUENTRA
BAJO LA INFLUENCIA DE DROGAS, ALCOHOL O
MEDICAMENTOS.
9. NO OPERE la herramienta en atmósferas
explosivas o cercanas a líquidos y gases flamables,
ya que puede ser causa de una explosión o
incendio.
10. NO UTILICE ropa suelta, bufandas, cadenas ni
cabello suelto, ya que las partes móviles pueden
atrapar dichos artículos y ocasionar lesiones
serias al operario.
11. NO reabastezca de combustible cuando la
máquina este caliente.
12. NUNCA permita a menores utilizar este
aparato.
IMPORTANTE: Nunca agregue, remueva, o
altere cualquier componente de este producto.
Hacerlo puede ser la causa de riesgos y heridas
personales.

MANEJO SEGURO DE LA GASOLINA
Tenga cuidado extra al manejar la gasolina
y demás combustibles. Son inflamables y los
gases son explosivos.
· Use solamente un envase aprobado.
· Nunca remueva la tapa del depósito de ga-
solina o agregue combustible con el motor
funcionando. Permita que el motor se enfríe
antes de volver a pone combustible. No fume.
· Nunca vuelva a reabastecer combustible en
lugares cerrados.
· Nunca almacene la máquina o el envase
del combustible dentro de algún lugar en
donde haya una llama expuesta como la del
calentador de agua.
• Nunca haga funcionar una máquina dentro
de un área cerrada.
• Nunca haga ajustes o reparaciones mientras
el motor esté en marcha. Desconecte el cable
de la bujía, y manténgalo a cierta distancia de
ésta para prevenir un arranque accidental.
• Mantenga las tuercas y los pernos, espe-
cialmente los pernos del accesorio de la
cuchilla, apretados y mantenga el equipo en
buenas condiciones.
• Nunca manipule de forma indebida los dis-
positivos de seguridad. Controle regularmente
su funcionamiento correcto.
• Mantenga la máquina libre atascos, hojas u
otras acumulaciones de desperdicio. Limpie los
derrames de aceite o combustible. Permita que
la máquina se enfríe antes de almacenarla.
• No cambie el ajuste del regulador del motor
ni exceda su velocidad.
COMBUSTIBLE
Use una mezcla de gasolina sin plomo con
aceite para motor de 2 tiempos.
ADVERTENCIA: Nunca use gasolina pura
en su unidad. Esto puede ocasionar daños
permanentes a la máquina y se perdería la
garantía. Nunca utilice una mezcla de gasolina
y aceite que haya permanecido almacenada
por más de 30 días.
ADVERTENCIA: Se recomienda el uso de
aceite para motor de 2 tiempos grado premium
con una proporción de 20:1, no debe de utilizar
ningún aceite para motor de 2 tiempos, que
indique como recomendación una proporción
diferente a la que se recomienda en este
manual.
ADVERTENCIA: Nunca añada agua, ya que
el carburador y el motor se podrían corroer.
ADVERTENCIA: Si usted utiliza acete para
motores a 4 tiempos esto causará que la bujía
falle, que el puerto del escape se bloquee y
el anillo del pistón sobresalgan. Nunca utilice
aceite para motores a 4 tiempos.
MEZCLA DE COMBUSTIBLE
Agregue el aceite a un
contenedor de gasolina
adecuado, permitiendo la
distribución de la mezcla de
gasolina con aceite. Agitar el
contenedor para asegurar la
mezcla adecuada.
ADVERTENCIA: Si la causa de daños en el
motor es debido a una insuficiente lubricación,
la garantía no procedera.
NOTA: La falta de lubricación del motor hace
inválida la garantía del producto. Como
recomendación utilice el aceite Surtek para
motores de 2 tiempos; Modelos 134001 y
134002.
CUANDO REABASTEZCA DE COMBUSTIBLE
IMPORTANTE: Agregue el combustible a un
80% de la capacidad total del tanque.
COMBUSTIBLE RECOMENDADO
Algunas gasolinas convencionales se están
mezclando con compuestos oxigenados como
alcohol o éter para satisfacer las normas de
aire limpio, su motor esta diseñado para que
funcione satisfactoriamente con cualquier ga-
solina destinados a la automoción, incluidas las
gasolinas oxigenadas.

ANTES DE ENCENDER EL CORTASETOS
Asegúrese de que el motor se encuentra
correctamente preparado y la tapa del tanque
de combustible se encuentra cerrada.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca encienda el motor en
lugares cerrados o poco ventilados, ya que
los gases del motor contienen monóxido de
carbono. Mantenga los pies, las manos, el pelo
y ropa suelta lejos de las partes móviles.
Llene el tanque de combustible con la mezcla
de combustible y aceite (VEA LA SECCIÓN DE;
COMBUSTIBLE Y LUBRICACIÓN). Mantenga la

ENCENDIENDO UN MOTOR FRÍO
1. Coloque el cortasetos sobre una superficie
firma y plana
2. Presione el botón del interruptor en en-
cendido “ I ”
3. Presione 7 veces el bombín del cebador para
que el combustible suba al carburador.
4. Su máquina ha sido diseñada con dos posi-
ciones en el ahogador, “CERRADO” (ahogado)
y “ABIERTO”. Coloque el ahogador en la
posición de CERRADO “ “
5. Sostenga firmemente el mango
6. Tire de la soga del arrancador (piola)
aproximadamente 4 veces. Un tirón rápido y
preciso es necesario para un buen arranque.
7. Después de que haya sido encendido el
motor, espere 10 segundos y coloque la válvula
del ahogador en la posición de ABIERTO “ “
NOTA: Siempre tirar de la cuerda de arranque
en línea recta. Si tira de forma inclinada esto
producirá que la cuerda haga fricción con
el ojal, dicha fricción hará que el cable del
arrancador se desgaste más rápido.
Nunca deje el cordón de arranque en posición
extendida, esto puede producir que el cable se
enganche o dañar el proceso de arranque.
ENCENDIENDO UN MOTOR CALIENTE
1. Asegúrese que el ahogador se encuentra en
la posición de ABIERTO
2. Siga los pasos del 2 y 6 de la sección,
ENCENDIENDO UN MOTOR FRÍO
APAGANDO EL MOTOR
Para apagar primero suelte el gatillo del
acelerador y a continuación presione el inter-
ruptor de encendido en la posición de “ 0”
Al momento de su operación, e cortasetos de
pronto se detiene verfique:
· Si las ramas están muy ásperas; trate de cortar
aquellas ramas que su diámetro no pase de los
8 mm.
· Si el cortasetos no corta bien o empeora en
su función; verifique que la cuchilla no este
gastada o que la distancia que hay entre las
cuchillas no sea demasiado amplia.
USANDO EL MANGO TRASERO
Cuando corte ramas, en orden de hacer cortes
más precisos el mango del cortasetos puede ser
rotado de 0˚ hasta 90˚ ya sea a la derecha o a
la izquierda.
Realicelo de la siguiente manera:
NOTA: El cortasetos puede estar encendido
cuando realice esta función pero no puesto
en marcha, tenga cuidado de no activar las
cuchillas para no dañar su persona.
1. Sostenga firmemen-
te el mango frontal,
cuidando que no accio-
ne la máquina jale el
gatillo que libera el
mango trasero y rotelo,
puede ser a 45˚ o 90˚
hacia la derecha o hacia
la izquierda.
2. Suelte el gatillo desbloqueador cuando el
mango este bien posicionado.
3. Puede comenzar a trabajar (o seguir
trabajando) después de que el gatillo esté en
una posición y el mango este firme.

ADVERTENCIA: Antes de realizar cualquier
inspección o ajuste, asegúrese de que el
cortasetos no esté funcionando. El no seguir
con esta recomendación puede causar daños al
equipo y a su persona.
• Las cuchillas son muy losas, una mala
operación puede causar daños o accidentes
inintencionados, porfavor siga estas
recomendaciones de seguridad al igual que
las demás recomendaciones que se encuentran
a lo largo de este manual por este motivo lea
este manual cuidadosamente.
• Nunca direccione las cuchillas a su cuerpo o
hacia otras personas.
• Limpie atascos de ramas que se encuentren en
las cuchillas (asegurándose de que las cuchillas
y también el cortasetos se hayan detenido por
completo).
• Cuando opere, asegúrese de usar un equipo
de seguridad adecuado, tales como guantes,
lentes de seguridad y protección auditiva.
OPERACIÓN
1. Al momento de cortar siga el sentido
de corte, esto es hacia delante. Como una
reco-mendación de seguridad, no trabaje
caminando hacia atrás ya que esto lo haría
tropezar y causarle daños.
2. Asegúrese de que esté operando en un
ambiente normal y sin obstaculos, si no,
mantengase alejado de rocas, ramas gruesas,
madera dura, alambres, plásticos, etc.
PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese de que la máquina
pare totalmente y se enfrie antes de realizar
cualquier tipo de inspección o mantenimiento.
FILTRO DE AIRE
Su motor no funcionará en forma adecuada
y puede sufrir daños si se usa un filtro de
aire sucio. Limpié el filtro cada 25 horas de
operación, y más a menudo, si el cortasetos se
usa en condiciones muy polvorosas o sucias.
IMPORTANTE: Nunca ponga en marcha el
motor sin el filtro de aire.
Quite la cubierta del filtro.
Lave el filtro con queroseno, enjuaguelo
bien. Después deje que el filtro se seque por
completo.
Remoje el filtro con aceite de motor limpio,
exprimalo quitando el exceso de aceite.
Instale de nuevamente el filtro y su cubierta.
FILTRO DEL COMBUSTIBLE
NOTA: Se requiere mantenimiento del filtro
del combustible cada 25 horas de uso.
¡IMPORTANTE!
Lleve la máquina a un centro de servicio para
realizar este tipo de mantenimiento.
Un filtro de combustible demasiado saturado
reduce la velocidad del motor y puede causar
que el motor se apague.
LIMPIEZA DE LA BUJÍA
Para asegurar una buena operación del motor,
la bujía debe de estar limpia de desechos y
depósitos.
1. Quite la bujía: Si el motor estaba en fun-
cionamiento, entonces la bujía estará muy
caliente, evite tocarlo.
2. Inspeccione la bujía:
Cambiela si ésta se encuen-
tra dañada o astillada. Si
aún es reusable limpielo con
un cepillo de alambre.
NOTA: Mida el hueco de la
bujía con un calibrador.
El espacio debe de ser de
0,6 - 0,7 mm. Si es necesario
ajústelo.
3. Verifique que la arandela de la bujía este en
buenas condiciones y vuelva a colocar la bujía
en su lugar, enrosquelo un poco con la mano.
4. Después de que la bujía se encuentre
posicionada, enrósquelo con una llave para
bujía y asegurar la arandela.
IMPORTANTE: La bujía debe estar bien
apretada. Si no lo hace apropiadamente la
bujía se sobrecalentará y puede dañar el
motor. Nunca utilice una bujía con un rango de
temperatura diferente.
CAJA DEL ENGRANAJE
NOTA: Se requiere de que la caja de engranes
esté engrasada, llevelo a un centro de servicio
después de 20 horas de trabajo.
CUCHILLA
Mantenga lubricadas las cuchillas. Después de
1 o 2 horas de uso agregue lubricante a las
cuchillas, siga las siguientes recomendaciones
para hacerlo:
1. Encienda el motor (siga los pasos de la
sección de ENCENDIENDO UN MOTOR FRÍO),
mantenga las cuchillas trabajando a una
velocidad baja, detengalas procurando que
ambas cuchillas tengan unos 2 mm de desfase,
añada el lubricante en los puntos que indica la
primera foto.

2. Vuelva a hacer funcionar las cuchillas y
de nuevo deje un desfase de 2 mm, repita
lubricación (vea la foto 2).
3. Finalmente, aegú-
rese de que ambas cu-
chillas estén una sobre
otra (sin desfase) y
añada lubricante en la
punta de las cuchillas
como muestra la
imagen.
SILENCIADOR
Después de 50 horas de uso quite el silenciador,
y limpie la cámara del depósito de carbon con
un destornillador y al mismo tiempo limpie
el ducto de salida. Reinstale el silenciador de
nuevo.
1. Realice todos los servicios que recomienda
este manual de usuario en la sección de
mantenimiento.
2. Limpie la superficie de la unidad.
3. Drene el combustible del depósito de com-
bustible.
4. Después de que el combustible sea drenado,
encienda la máquina.
5. Haga funcionar la máquina, mantengala en
reposo hasta que se detenga el motor solo.
Esto hará que se purge el combustible fuera
del carburador.
6. Deje que el motor se enfríe (Aproximada-
mente 5 minutos).
7. Usando una llave de bujía, quite la bujía.
8. Vierta una cucharada pequeña de aceite
para motor de 2-tiempos dentro de la
cámara combustión. Jale lentamente de la
piola de arranque varias veces para cubrir los
componentes internos. Reemplace la Bujía.

9. Añada aceite anticorrosivo a las partes
metálicas, ponga la cubierta a la cuchilla y
almacene la unidad en un lugar fresco y seco
lejos de cualquier fuente de ignición, como un
quemador de aceite, calentador de agua, etc.
ATENCIÓN: El no seguir con estas recomen-
daciones e instrucciones de mantenimiento
pueden causar daños al carburador.
PARA SACAR LA UNIDAD
1. Quite la bujía.
2. Tirar de la piola de arranque para quitar el
exceso de aceite de la camara de combustión.
3. Limpie el espacio del calibre de la bujía o
instale una bujía con el calibre adecuado.
4. Prepare la unidad para su operación.
5. Llene el depósito de combustible con la
mezcla adecuada de gasolina y aceite, vea la
sección de COMBUSTIBLE Y LUBRICACIÓN.
