Important Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use and keep it in a safe place for future reference,
along with the warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. The safety precautions enclosed
herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
Usage conditions and restrictions
To prevent any injuries, the following safety precautions should be observed in the
installation, use, servicing and maintenance of equipment. Before operating this equipment,
please read this manual completely, and keep it nearby for future reference.
• Take notice of all the warnings.
• Do not use this TV near water.
• Clean only with a dry cloth.
• Do not block any of the ventilation openings.
• Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other TV’s
(including ampliers) that produce heat.
• Do not alter the grounding type plug provided with the TV. A grounding type plug has two
blades and a third grounding prong. The third prong is provided for your safety. When the
provided plug does not t into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the TV.
• Only use the attachments/accessories specied by the manufacturer.
• Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specied by the manufacturer, or sold
with the TV.
• Unplug this TV during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel. Servicing is required when the TV has been
damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled
or objects have fallen into the TV, the TV has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not
operate normally, or has been dropped.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
NOTE: The TV must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects lled with
liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the TV.

Position
• If a television is not positioned in a suciently stable location, it can be potentially
hazardous due to falling. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking
simple precautions such as:
• Securely attaching the TV to the wall mount fastened on the wall.
• Only using furniture that can safely support the television.
• Ensuring the television is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
• Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV controls.
• Not standing the TV on cloth or other materials placed between the television and
supporting furniture.
• Not placing the television on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases)
without anchoring both the furniture and the television to a suitable support.
• When deciding on where to put the TV set, make sure the place is:
• Well ventilated.
• Away from damp and cold.
• Protected from overheating and away from direct sunlight.
• Away from moisture drips or splashes.
• Protected from excessive dust.
• Do not install this equipment in a conned space such as a bookcase or similar unit.
• Do not put any objects lled with liquids, such as vases, on top of the TV set.
• Do not place any naked ame sources, such as lighted candles, on top of the TV set.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Dust the TV set by wiping the screen and cabinet with a soft, clean cloth.
Electrical safety, power cord and plug
• Before installing this TV set, make sure your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage
stated on the appliance rating label.
• To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
• Do not overload the power cord or power outlet.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch any hot surface.
• Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the power cord and signal cable.
• Protect the power cord and signal cable from being trampled.
• Do not expose the power cord and signal cable to moisture.

• Do not clean the screen with water or chemical cleaners as this may damage the LED
screen surface.
• Do not dismantle this product by yourself, as this may cause damage. There are no user-
serviceable parts contained in the TV set.
• If your TV set has been damaged, contact the after sales support line for advice or take
it to a local service centre or for inspection or repair. No liability can be accepted for any
damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or
mishandling of appliance.

earthing connection.

In DVD mode, use the buttons below for the following actions:
[ ]: Press repeatedly to fast backward there are five speeds for fast backward.
[ ] : Press repeatedly to fast forward, there are five speeds for fast forward.
[ ]: Press to stop the DVD display.
[ ]: Press to play the previous title/chapter/track.
[ ]: Press to play the next title/chapter/track.
GOTO: Press to activate the on-screen scroll down menu for editing.
REPEAT: Press the YELLOW button to play back a portion automatically (choose between
OFF/CHAPTER/TRACK/REP ALL).
A-B: Press the BLUE button to start the repeat portion from A-B.

ANGLE: Press to display the current playback angle;
press again to toggle between different
playback angle codes in sequence.
Note: Select playback angle is only available if the DVD
has this feature.

Teletext function
Teletext or Austext is no longer available, nor is there any plan for a replacement teletext
service in Australia. For more information, please visit the websites of the Australian channel
providers.
However, one teletext option, “closed captions”, is still working on most Australian television
channels. This service allows you to activate subtitles while watching normal television
programs that provide it.
Accessing closed captions
While watching a program, press the teletext button (TEXT/MIX) on the remote control, then
enter the numbers 801 on the remote control to activate the subtitles. To exit the subtitles,
press the TEXT/MIX button again.

Inserting Batteries
• Remove the battery cover located on
the back of the remote control by gently
pushing down the cover lock and pulling
the cover upwards.
• Insert two AAA Alkaline or equivalent
batteries, following the +/- marking in the
battery compartment.
• Replace the battery cover.

• Do not used different types of battery (for example, Manganese and Alkaline batteries)
together.
• Note that there are chargeable and non-chargeable batteries. Do not attempt to charge
nonchargeable batteries.
• Always remove the batteries if the remote control is not going to be used for more than
a month. Batteries left in it may cause damage.
• Bright sunlight or lightning may cause the remote control unit to operate erratically.

First Time installation
1. Connect the antenna to the RF 75Ω socket.
2. Turn on the TV. The First Time Installation menu will be displayed on the screen, as
below:
3. Press / on the remote control to select the desired tuning type:
DTV - digital channels (SD/HD)
ATV - analogue channels only
ATV + DTV - all channels available in your area
4. Use the / / / navigation keys to select the desired language, then press [OK] to
enter the Channel Tuning screen. The default language of this TV is English.
5. The TV will start searching channels automatically from the lowest frequency. When
it nds a station, it will store this in the rst location and move to the next. When auto
tuning is completed, the TV will display the channels in logical channel number (LCN)
order.
6. Press [MENU] or [EXIT] to cancel the auto tuning.

Make sure all necessary connections are correctly made before connecting the unit to the
wall socket and turning on the power. The power indicator turns red and the unit is in stand-
by mode.
Power on/o
Press on the remote control (or on the side of the TV) to turn on the power to the TV. The
power indicator turns from red (stand-by) to blue (on). To turn the TV o, press The unit will
switch to stand-by mode and the power indicator turns red.
Volume adjustment
Press [VOL-] to reduce the volume, press [VOL+] to increase the volume.
Basic Operations
Make sure all necessary connections are correctly made before connecting the unit
to the wall socket and turning on the power. The power indicator turns red and the
unit is in stand-by mode.
Power on/off
Press on the remote control (or on the side of the TV) to turn on the power to the
TV. The power indicator turns from red (stand-by) to blue (on).
The unit will switch to stand-by mode and the power
indicator turns red.
TV channel selection
then choose your channel one of the following ways:
tPress [CH ] or [CH ] on the main unit.
tPress [0–9] (combined [-/--] if necessary) to input the channel number directly.
tPress [LAST CH] to go back to the previous channel you watched last time.

Mute function
Press [MUTE ] on the remote control to switch o the sound temporarily, press it again (or
the [ +/ -] button) to restore the sound.
TV channel selection
To select your TV channel, select analogue (ATV) or digital (DTV) as input source rst, then
choose your channel one of the following ways:
• Press [CH ^] or [CH v ] on the main unit.
• Press [0–9] (combined [-/--] if necessary) to input the channel number directly.
• Press [LAST CH] to go back to the previous channel you watched last time.
Make sure all necessary connections are correctly made before connecting the unit
to the wall socket and turning on the power. The power indicator turns red and the
unit is in stand-by mode.
Power on/off
Press on the remote control (or on the side of the TV) to turn on the power to the
TV. The power indicator turns from red (stand-by) to blue (on).
The unit will switch to stand-by mode and the power
indicator turns red.
TV channel selection

Input source
Make sure you have the external input device (such as a home theatre) properly connected.
Turn on the external device and press [SOURCE] on the TV remote control to select it. The
input source menu appears.
1. Use the up/down navigation keys / to move the highlighted bar to the desired
source item.
2. Press [OK] or to conrm, information of the selected source name will appear on the TV
screen for a few seconds.
Information display
Press [DISPLAY] on the remote control, the related information about the current source will
appear on the screen automatically.
Picture mode
Press [P.MODE] repeatedly on the remote control to select your desired picture mode from
the four available: Standard, Dynamic, Mild, Personal.
Sound mode
Press [S.MODE] repeatedly on the remote control to select your desired sound mode from the
ve available: Standard, Music, Movie, Sport and Personal.
Audio language
For some programmes with audio language options, pressing [LANGUAGE] will display the
dierent audio language options for selection.
Sleep Timer
The sleep timer automatically switches o the power after a preset time has elapsed. There
are eight time periods available, press [SLEEP] on the remote control repeatedly to select
your desired time period:
O 10 min 20 min 30 min 60 min 90 min 120 min
180 min 240 min O
Once you have nished setting the sleep timer, it will start automatically.
To check for how much longer the TV will remain on until it switches o, press the [SLEEP]
button on the remote control and the remaining sleep time will appear on the screen for a
few seconds.

EPG stands for Digital Electronic Program Guide. It is supplied by the program providers and oers
information about the program to be broadcast. You can access it in digital mode by pressing the
EPG button on the remote control, the menu will appear on the screen, as below:
