STREAMLINE STORAGE ASSEMBLY
PLANNING AHEAD
•Following the GYM RAX® Storage systems installation sequence is critical to the
performance of the structures and safety of the users.
•Read all instructions before proceeding.
•Review all supplied drawings & packing lists before starting any work.
•Identify any installation uncertainties and contact a GYM RAX customer success
representative for clarification.
•Consider the number of persons required to safely install GYM RAX.
•Plan for the method of installation and tools required.
•Take precautions to avoid damaging finishes.
•Do not over-torque bolted joints as walls of posts and tubes may crush.
•Never leave unsecured or unstable GYM RAX structures unattended.
ESTIMATED INSTALLATION TIME
30 minutes per bay
RECOMMENDED BOLT TORQUE SPECS
1/2” fasteners: 30-35 ft-lbs.
3/8” fasteners: 20-25 ft-lbs.
REQUIRED TOOLS AND SUPPLIES
9/16” & 3/4” drive sockets and/or wrenches
Tape measure
7/32” Allen key
Rubber mallet
Box cutter knife
Level

INSTALL PROCEDURE
STEP 1 – POST/ANCHOR PLATE ASSEMBLY
A) Insert End Cap into the upper end of Streamline Post. The End Cap should push in by
hand, use a rubber mallet if necessary.
B) Fasten the Self Anchor Plate to the bottom of the Streamline Post using two ½” hex
bolts. Use a ¾” socket or wrench.

STEP 2 – ASSEMBLE REMAINING POSTS
A) Assemble remaining Post/Anchor Plate following the procedure in Step 1.
B) Position the Posts rear edge inline and 48” apart on centers.
C) Anchor Plates requires a firm, flat and level ground surface. The Posts should be stable
and not easily rock fore-aft or side to side. Check the ground surface and ensure no
debris is under the plate and the ground surface is flat and level.

A) Lift one Crossmember at a time and line up holes with the upper 2 holes of the post.
B) Fasten Post Hook & Crossmembers to Posts with the 3/8” bolts adding washers and nut
as shown. Use a 7/32” Hex Key and a 9/16” wrench or socket.

STEP 4 – ATTACH RAX CHANNELS

A) Attach the Rax Channels using the lowest hole in the post and the highest open hole
in the post. Use the holes closest to the ends of the RAX Channel and face the Rax
Channels rearward. Use the 3/8” bolts with washers on the outsides. Use a 7/32” Hex
Key and a 9/16” wrench or socket.
B) When multiple bays, the inner Rax Channels attach to the middle post using shared
hardware.
Note: The button head of the bolt should face outward on the outer posts.
