Thisdigitalpiano will supplyyou with years of musicalenjoyment ifyou follow thesimple ruleslisted below.
LOCATION
Do not expose the instrument to the following
conditionstoavoiddeformation, discoloration, or

HANDLINGANDTRANSPORT

TO PLAY 1. CONNECTTHE POWERADAPTOR-Plug the powercordof the
adaptorintothe DC 12V”jack,located ontheleft side of the
keyboard.
2.TURNTHE POWERSWITCH ON -Turnon the powerswitch
located on theleftside of thekeyboard(isoff,andison).
The displaywill welcomeyou and setthe voicetoGrandPiano
automatically. The displaywill show 001:GrandPiano”.
Pleasenote,whenyourturnthepoweroff,donotturnthepower
backonimmediately. Waitatleastfivesecondstoturnthe
powerback onsothatthecircuit canproperlyreset.
3. SETTHEVOLUME TO THEDESIREDSETTING - Adjustthe
volumecontroltoacomfortablelevelbyslidingthe Master

5. SUSTAIN/ SOFT PEDAL -Plug inthe pedalswitchintothe SUS-
TAINjack.When the pedalispressed,thepianokeyswill con-
tinue tosustainastheyareplayed.Therebythe pianonotewill
decaygradually)asif youwerecontinuing toholddownthe piano
keys.Plug inthepedalswitchintotheSOFTjack.When thepedal
ispressed,the pianovolumeisreducedandthetimbreslightly
alteredonthenotesthatareplayed.
6. PHONE1/ PHONE2 -You can playintotalsilence, withoutdisturb-
ingothersintheroom,byplugging asetofheadphonesintoone
of theappropriatesockets.Whenheadphonesarepluggedinto
Phone 1the speakersound deliverysystemisstillheard.
WhenheadphonesarepluggedintoPhone2thespeakersound
deliverysystemisturnedoff.
7.STEREO LINEOUT -Thisstereoaudiooutputjack suppliesthe
piano’soutput signaltoexternalamplification.
8. VOLUMEPEDAL -If desired,plugthemastervolumepedalintothis
connector.It’llfunctionastheMASTERVOLUMEslideron the
controlpanel.

PANELCONTROLS
1. MASTERVOLUME -Usethis slidingcontrolbutton to adjustthe overall
volume of the keyboard.
2. SONGVOLUME- Slidethiscontrollerto adjust the volume ofthe built-
inplayalong songs,the keyboardinstrument voicewillnot be affected.
3. DEMO -Press the DEMObutton. Thefirst demo song will playback
instantly. Thispiano has12 different demonstration songs.

To accessan individualdemo songpressthe +/YESor –/NObuttonswhen the Demo Feature is engaged.
The Demo Songswill continue to playconsecutivelyuntil the DEMObutton orthe PLAY/STOPbutton is
pressed.
4. METRONOME -Press the METRONOMEbutton to engage the built-inmetronome. Usethe +/YES and –/
NObuttonswith the metronomeengaged to choosethemeterofyourchoice,2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or5/4time.
5. TEMPO -Press one of the TEMPObuttons,the current tempo value will appearonthe display. You can use
the TEMPO+,TEMPO –buttons, orthe +/YESand –/NObuttonsto change the tempo value range from
40 to240 bpm(beatsperminute). Press the TEMPO+orTEMPO –buttonssimultaneouslytorecallthe
default tempo setting. Afterthree secondsthe displaywill revert to the selected voice.
Thereisa four-dotbeat indicatorabovethe tempo buttons.It indicatesthe tempoandbeat forthe accompa-
niment that isplaying.
6. INSTRUMENTVOICESELECTBUTTONS-Thereare 10instrumentvoicesbuttonsand 30 instrument
voices. You can instantlyselect an instrument voice bypressing one of the instrument voice select
buttons. You can selectthe variation of the engaged voicebypressing the variation button. Thereisa
totalof 3 instrument voicesperinstrument voice button. There isa complete list of all 30 voiceslisted in
the back of the manual. Pleaseseethe Voice section ofthismanualformore information.
7. VARIATION -Thisbutton selectsthe variation of the initialinstrument voicebutton sound. Pressingthe
VARIATIONbutton one time turnsthebutton LED red whilepressing the button a second time turnsthe
button LED green. Pressingthe button a thirdtime turnsthe buttonLEDoff.
Red LED denotesthe first variation of the initialvoice selection.
Green LEDdenotesthe second variationof the initialvoiceselection.
When the LEDisoff the initialvoiceselection isheard.

8. FUNCTION -The FUNCTION buttonisused to accessthe function menu. The function menucan be
usedtoadjustorchange the parametersof anumberof settings.The reverblevel, choruslevel, touch,
, split point, tuning etc. are all set from the function menu.

9. PAGE -The PAGEbuttons(up and down)areused toaccessthedifferentmenusin the Function
feature.When theFUNCTION buttonhasbeen pressed usethePAGEDown orPAGEUpbuttonsto
access the Functionmenu selections.
10. USERREG -Registrationisused to store keyboardsettings.Press theUSERREGbuttonto engage
theregistrationmemorymode.Therearetwo keyboardmemory settings.SeeRegistrationSection of
thismanualformoreinformation.
11. ENTER KEYS -Use the +/YES, –/NObuttonsdirectlywhile using the voice orfunction settings. These
buttonsare also used to access oraltermanyof thefunction featuresorwhen input isnecessary.
12. REVERB -Thereverbeffectisengaged automatically whenthepoweristurnedon.Reverb simulates
the effectof playing in abig room orhall wherethe sound reverberatesoff the wallsand ceiling.Press
the REVERBbutton toturnoff the reverbeffect. You can switch the reverb featureon and off by
pressing theREVERBbutton. Reverbdepth can be changed inthe function menu.

13. CHORUS -The Choruseffectaddsdepth and spaciousness tothe selected keyboardvoice. Press the
CHORUSbutton to engage the choruseffectand the indicatorwill lightup.Pressthe buttonagainto
turnoffthechoruseffect. Chorusdepth canbe changed in thefunctionmenu.

14. LAYER -Engaging theLAYERbutton will put thekeyboardinthe layermode. Layerrefers to an addi-
tionalvoicethat is tone mixed”with the selected keyboardvoice. The assigned layervoicewillbe
heardtogetherwith the originalvoice. Toselect a new layered instrument voiceuse the +/YES or –/
NObuttonswithin3 secondsafterthe LAYERbuttonhasbeenengaged.
15. LOWER -Withthe Lowerfeature engagedthe keyboardoperatesinthe split”mode.IntheLowermode
the keyboardisdivided into two sections.In theright hand section the originaland/orlayered voicewill
sound, and inthelefthand sectionadifferent voicecan be assigned tosound when the keys are
played. Toselect anew Lowerinstrument voice usethe+/YES or –/NObuttonswithinthree seconds
aftertheLOWERbuttonhasbeenengaged.

13. TRANSPOSE -The transposefeature canshiftthe pitchof the keyboardup ordowninsemitoneinter-
valsup to a maximum of 24 semitones.Pressone of the TRANSPOSE buttons, the current transpose
value will appearon the display.Usethe TRANSPOSE+orTRANSPOSE –buttonsto setthe
transpose value range from –12,one octavelower,to 12, one octavehigher. Pressthe+and –
Transposevalue buttonssimultaneouslyto recallthe defaultvalue of 0. Afterthree secondsthe
displaywillreturnto the currentlyselectedinstrument voice.
14. SONG -This PlayAlongSongs”or Music Teacher”feature canbeused asan aidtolearnthe 58 songs
built into thispiano. The SONGbuttonturnsthe musicteacher”function on and off.Pleaseseethe
PlayAlong Song section of thismanualformoreinformation.
15. LEFT, RIGHT -These buttonsare used in conjunction with theSONGbutton. It allowsthe playerto
playalong with the prerecordedtraditionalsongscontainedwithin this piano.The LEFT button willplay
the right hand of the selectedsong, sothat the usercanpracticethe Left Hand portionof the song.
The RIGHTbutton will playtheLeft Hand of theselectedsong, sothat the usercan practice the Right
Hand portionofthe song.Whenengagingthe LEFT andRIGHTbuttonssimultaneously only the
metronome count willsoundandthe usershouldplayboththe Left andRight portionsof the selected
song. Please see the PlayAlong Songsection of this manualformoreinformation.
16. USERSONG -The USERSONGbutton accessesoneofthe fouravailable song settingsforrecording or
playback.Use the +/YES, –/NObuttonsto selectthe song you wish, if there isrecorded information
on anyof the three tracks theirindicatorlightswill light up. Pleasesee the Record section of this
manualformoreinformation.
17. TRACK 1, TRACK2ANDTRACK 3 -Therearethree tracks forrecordingyourperformanceforeach
song composition. These tracks are assigned bythe TRACK1/2/3 buttons. Pleasesee the Record
section ofthismanualformoreinformation.
18. REC -Thisunit is able torecordfoursongs,each with 3-tracks. Itwill record all note eventsastheyare
performed.This recordedinformationisnonvolatileandthereforewillnot belostwhenthepoweris
turned off. ToRecordpress andholddownthe RECORD button then pressthe trackbutton you want
to recordin. Recording beginsassoon asyou starttoplayon anysection of the keyboard.Pressthe
RECORDorPLAY/STOPbutton againtostop recording.Please seethe Recordsectionofthemanual
formoreinformation.
19. PLAY/STOP -Pressthe PLAY/STOPbuttonto hearselected tracks that youhave recorded. Press the

pitch,ordown, towardsyou,tolowerthepitchofthe note(s)played.
21. MODULATIONWHEEL -The MODULATIONwheeladdsavibrato effectto
notesplayed.
Roll theMODULATIONwheelup,awayfromyou, to raisetheamplitude of
thevibratoordown,towardsyou,to lowertheamplitude.Ifyou don’t
want anyvibrato, rotate the wheelto thelowest position.

playback instantly. Thisunit hasten demo songs. All songswill then play
repeatedly with thesong name displayeduntilyou presstheDEMObutton again
to stop the demonstration.
2. PLAYA SINGLEDEMOSONG -Usethe+/YESorthe –/NObuttonstochange
songswhilethedemo isplaying. The selected Demosongswillplayconsecu-
tivelyuntilyou press theDEMObutton orthe PLAY/STOPbutton tostop.

KEYBOARD VOICES
QUICK SELECTINSTRUMENTVOICES -Thereareten voicesthatcanbeselected
quicklybypressing one of the ten voice select buttons. Each one of these
Instrument VoiceButtonshasthree instrumentsrelated tothat sound group.
You can access the otherinstrument voicesbyusing the VARIATIONButton or
bypressing the +/YES orthe –/NOButtons.
SELECTINGONEOFTHE30INSTRUMENTVOICES
1. Pressthe VOICESelect Button that correspond to the group of instrument voices
that you wouldliketoplay.The maininstrument voiceof the selected Sound
GroupButtonwillbeshown on theLCD display.
2. Press the VARIATION Button to access the othertwo instrument voicesthat are
availableinthe VoiceSelectButtonthat youhaveengaged.
Everytime theVariationButton ispressedtheName ofthe Instrument Voiceon
theLCDDisplaywill bechanged.
Note: Whenpressingthe VARIATIONButton onetimetheVariationButtonLED
will be Red indicatingthe firstvariation ofthe originalinstrument voice.
When pressingthe button asecond timethe Variation button LED will be
Green indicatingthesecond variation ofthe originalinstrument voice.
WhentheVariation ButtonLEDisOFFtheoriginalVoiceSelect Button instrument
voicecan be heard.

1. Press the +/YES or –/NOButtonsto cycle through all 30 instrument voices.

Eachinstrument voicehasit’sown sound qualitiyand texture.
Thereforetheremaybe instanceswherecertainvoicesdependingonthe varioussettingscouldcause
the sound delivery system to makea slight distortion orbuzzing sound.
Thisisnormalandcan be adjusted bychanging thevolume, digitaleffects(Reverb orChorus) or
Touchsensitivitysettings.

ADDINGCHORUSEFFECT -TheChoruseffectenrichesyourselectedinstrument
voicebyaddingdepthand texture. Pressthe CHORUSbuttontoengage the
choruseffect, the indicatorwill light up.

KEYBOARD VOICES
LAYER (DUAL)VOICE -Layer, ordual, refers to an additionalvoicethatis tonemixed”
withthe originallyselected keyboardvoice. The assigned layervoicewillbe
heardwith the originalvoicewhenthe layerfeature isengaged.
TOUSETHELAYERFUNCTION
1. Pressthe LAYER button, the currentlyassigned Layervoicewillbe shownon the
display,andthe LEDindicatorwill turnon.
NOTE: TheLCDdisplaywillshowthelayervoicenumberandname,afterthree
secondsthe displaywill revert to the originallyselectedmainvoice.
3. PresstheLAYERbuttonagainandtheLCD displaywillshow thecurrentvolume
setting fortheLAYERFunction.
4. PresstheLAYERbuttonagain toturntheLAYERfunctionoff.
TO SELECTADIFFERENTVOICEFORTHELAYERFUNCTION
1. Pressthe LAYER button, the currentlyassigned Layervoicewillbe shownon the
display,andthe LEDindicatorwill turnon.
2. Use the +/YES, –/NObuttonsorthe Quick SelectVoice Buttonsto select the
desired Layervoice.
NOTE: You mustselect the +/YES, –/NObuttonsorthe QuickSelectVoice
Buttonswithin the three secondsperiod that theLAYERvoice isdisplayedon
theLCD screenorelse theoriginally selectedLAYERvoicewillremainengaged.
TOCHANGETHEVOLUMEOFTHELAYERVOICE
1. Press the LAYER Button -ItsLED will turn on.
2. PresstheLAYERButton asecondtimeand the current LayerVolumelevelis
shownontheDisplayLCD.
NOTE: This LayerVolume settingwillbedisplayedontheLCD screen forthree
seconds.
3. Whilethe LayerVolume screen isdisplayed, use the +/YES orthe –/NOButtons
to raise orlowerthe volume of the selected LayerInstrument Voice. It’srange
isfrom 0 -24. The LCD DisplayScreenwillshow Volume Setting.
NOTE: TheLayerVolume settingscreenwillreverttothe originally selectedmain
instrumentvoiceafter3seconds.
TOADDREVERB AND/ORCHORUSEFFECTSTOTHELAYERVOICE
When the reverb and/orchoruseffectsadd to the mastervoice, it will edd to the
layervoice automatically. The reverb and choruslevelapplyingto layervoice
can be adjusted separately.Please see the Function Section inthe manualfor
detailedinformation.

LOWERVOICE -In thelower,orsplit, modethe keyboardisdividedintotwoseparate
sections. To the right of the Split Point the currentlyselected main voice orthe
layered and main voice will sound. The keys to the left of the Split Point can
playa different instrument voice.
TO USE THELOWERFUNCTION
1. PresstheLOWERbutton,thecurrently assignedLowervoicewillbeshownon the
display,andthe LEDindicatorwill turnon.
2. Pressthe LOWERbutton again andtheLCD displaywillshowthe current volume
setting fortheLowerFunction.
3. Press the LOWERbutton againtoturnthe Lowerfunctionoff.

NOTE: TheLowerVolumesettingscreenwillreverttothe originallyselected main

TOUCHMODE
This Keyboard offersfourtypesofkeyboardtouch sensitivitysettings:
Soft,Normal,HardandFixed
Thesearealsoknown asVelocitysensitivitysettingsand can help you to suitthis
keyboardto yourplaying style.
TheNormalsetting isselected automaticallywhenthe pianoisturnedon.
Hard is the mostsensitive keyboardresponsewhichpermitsmaximum
sound levelswith alighttouch.
Normal isan intermediate response suitable formost stylesof music.
Normalisthe defaultsetting.
Soft is alesssensitivekeyboardresponsewhichrequiresaheavier
touch toobtainmaximumsound levels.
Fixed doesnot offeranytouchsensitivity. Each keyplays at full
volume nomatterhow hardthe piano keyishit.
Itis commonlyusedonHarpsichordandOrganvoices.

When theLowermodeisengagedthe keyboard isdivided intotwo parts
at the splitpoint. In theright hand sectionthe original(andLayervoice-
ifengaged)will sound. In theleft hand section a new instrument voice
canbeassigned,the lowervoice. Thesplitpoint location forthe
Keyboard can be changed. ItsrangeisfromG1-C7.

MASTER TUNE -Thepitchof thispianoisveryaccurateand stable, itisautomatically
settostandardA440 pitchwhenthepianoisturned on.Thetuningfeature
makesitpossible to tune the pitchofthe instrument in fine intervals.If
necessary,youcan alterthepiano pitch.Tuningcanbeaccomplishedover –50
to +50 stepsfora semitone,orcents.
