[1] Data Entry: Dieser Regler sendet die je-
weils
zugewiesene
MIDI
Control
Meldung.
Nach dem Einschalten ist MIDI-Lautstärke zu-
gewiesen (CC-7).
[2] Data Entry Zuweisung: Mit dieser Taste
werden dem Data Entry Regler Control Chan-
ge Meldungen zugewiesen.
[3] Transposer Ein/Aus: Diese Taste aktiviert
oder desaktiviert die Transposition und wird
“für Transpositionseinstellungen verwendet.
[4] Start/Stop: Mit dieser Taste konnen über
Start/Stop Meldungen (Status byte “FA” oder
"FC") externe Begleitautomaten oder MIDI-
. Sequenzer gestartet und gestoppt werden.
[5] Expression-Regler zuweisbar zu After
Touch Modulation und Pitch Bender: Diese
Einstellung ermóglicht das Starten von Modu-
lationseffekten von After Touch und Pitch
Bender:
[6] Patch On/Off: Ermóglicht die Aktivierung
oder Desaktivierung des Patch-Modus. Ist der
Patch Mode aktiviert, kónnen über die Num-
merntasten Patches gewechselt werden.
[7] Sub Capital CC 00: Mit dieser Taste wird
den Nummerntasten der Control Change “00”
zugewiesen, um ein Sub Capital anzuwählen;
im Patch-Modus wählen sie Patches Nummer
13 oder 29.
[8] Sub Capital CC 32: Mit dieser Taste wird
den Nummerntasten der Control Change “32”
zugewiesen, um ein Sub Capital anzuwählen;
im Patch-Modus wählen sie Patches Nummer
14 oder 30.
[9] Capital Programmwechsel: Mit dieser Ta-
ste wird den Nummerntasten ermöglicht, Pro-
gram Change Meldungen über MIDI zu senden;
im Patch-Modus wählen sie Patches Nummer
15 oder 31.
[10] Nummerntasten: Im Patch-Modus rufen
diese Tasten Patches von 1 bis 10 oder 17 bis
26 ab; im Free Panel-Modus rufen sie Program
Change Meldungen, MIDI-Kanäle oder Para-
meter ab.
[11] Write: Mit dieser Taste kann ein Patch in
einen der 32 Speicherplütze geschrieben
werden.
[12] Enter: Mit dieser Taste wird die
Nummerntasten-Anwahl ausgelóst; im Patch-
Modus wählt sie Patches Nummer 11 oder 27.
13] MIDI/Param.: Mit dieser Taste wird den
ummerntasten ermóglicht, MIDI-Kanäle ein-
zustellen oder Parameter zu modifizieren; im
Patch-Modus wählt sie Patches Nummer 12
oder 28.
[14/15] Octave Up & Octave Down: Mit die-
Sen Tasten kann die Tastatur um eine Oktave
abwärts/aufwärts transponiert werden. `
[16] Patch Down/Up: Diese Taste arbeitet nur
im Patch-Modus und ermöglicht es, schnell von
einem Patch auf den folgenden oder vorheri-
gen zu wechseln. Wenn Sie Patch Up von Patch
32 drücken, wird Patch 1 gewählt; wenn Sie
Patch Down von Patch 1 drücken, wird Patch
32 gewählt,
[17] Sustain: Sustain-Taste
[18] Patch 17/32: Wenn eingeschaltet (LED
leuchtet), ermöglicht dieser Schalter die Aus-
| . wahl der Patches von 17 bis 32 über die ent-
sprechenden Tasten.
[19] Edit: Die Tasten in diesem Bereich ermög-
lichen die Auswahl einer der Sektionen für die
Zuweisung von Programmwechsel. Octave
Up/Down, MIDI-Kanal, usw...
[20] Kbd Mode: Aktiviert die folgenden
Keyboard-Modi der Reihe nach: Upper, Lower,
Upper + Lower.
[21] Chorus On/Off: Startet oder stoppt den
Chorus bei dem in dem gegenwärtigen Patch
eingestellten Wert in der Sektion, deren EDIT-
LED leuchtet.
[22] Reverb On/Off: Startet oder stoppt das
Reverb bei dem in dem gegenwärtigen Patch
eingestellten Wert in der Sektion, deren EDIT-
LED leuchtet.
[23] Schalter: Netzschalter.
[24] AC-Netzteilbuchse (Rückseite): Diese
Buchse ermöglicht Anschlüsse an ein externes
Netzteil.
[25] MIDI OUT-Buchse: Über diese Buchse
wird das AX-1 mit anderen MIDI-Instrumenten
verbunden. `
{1] Data Entry: Ce potentiomètre envoie des
messages de contrôle destinables. Quand il est
en fonction, il est destiné au contrôle du volume

[2] Data Entry Assign: Ce bouton attribue l'un
des messages de “Control Change" au poten-
tiomètre Data Entry.
[3] Transposer On/Off: Ce bouton actionne ou

des configurations de transposition.
[4] Start/Stop: Ce bouton contrôle les Start et
Stop des unités d'accompagnement ou des
séquenceurs externes qui envoient des messa-
ges de Start et Stop via MIDI (FA, FC).
[5] Barre d'expression destinable à After
Touch Modulation et Pitch Bender: Ce con-
tróle permet d'activer des effets de modulation
d'After Touch et le Pitch Bender.
[6] Patch On/Off: Permet d'activer ou de
désactiver le mode patch. Quand il est actionné
(mode Patch On), il attribue les boutons numé-
riques à la sélection des patches.
[7] Sub Capital CC 00: Ce bouton attribue la
valeur CC-00 aux boutons numériques; cette
valeur sert à sélectionner un son Sub Capital;
en mode Patch, il sélectionne les numéros 13
et 29.
[8] Sub Capital CC 32: Ce bouton attribue la
valeur CC-32 aux boutons numériques; cette
valeur sert à sélectionner un son Sub Capital;
en mode Patch, il sélectionne les numéros 14
et 30.
[9] Capital Program Change: Ce bouton des-
tine les boutons numériques à la valeur de sélec-
tion de Program Change via Midi; en mode
Patch il sélectionne les numéros 15 ou 31.
[10] Boutons Numériques: En mode Patch, il
permet de sélectionner les patches de 1 à 10
ou de 17 à 26; en mode Free Panel, il sélec-
tionne les numéros de Program Change, les
canaux MIDI ou les paramétres.
[11] Write: Permet de mémoriser une Patch
dans l'une des 32 Memory Patches disponibles.
[12] Enter: Ce bouton est utilisé pour confir-
mer la sélection des boutons numériques; en
mode Patch, il sélectionne les patches numéro
11 ou 27.
[13] MIDI/Param.: Ce bouton attribue les bou-
tons numériques à la configuration des canaux
MIDI ou à la modification de paramétres; en
mode Patch, il sélectionne les numéros 12 ou 28.
[14/15] Octave Up & Octave Down: Ils sont
utilisés pour transposer le clavier d'une octave
vers le haut ou vers le bas respectivement.
[16] Patch Down/Up: Ce bouton fonctionne
uniquemente en mode Patch, et permet de pas-
ser rapidement d'une patch à la suivante ou à
la précédente. Si vous appuyez sur Patch Up
à partir de la Patch 32, vous obtiendrez la Patch
1; si vous enfoncez Patch Down depuis la Patch
1, vous aurez la Patch 32.
[17] Sustain: Bouton pour le Sustain.
[18] Patch 17-32: Ce bouton sélectionne les pat-
ches à travers les 16 boutons correspondants.
Si la LED correspondante est allumée, les 16
boutons serviront à sélectionner les patches
allant de 17 à 32. R
[19] Edit: Les boutons de cette section permet-
tent de sélectionner l’une des sections pour des-
tiner Program Change, Octave Up/Down, MIDI
Channel, etc.
[20] Kbd Mode: Sélectionne les modes de cla-
vier suivants en séquence: Upper, Lower,
Upper + Lower.
[21] Chorus On/Off: Actionne ou arréte Cho-
i dans la section mise en évidence par la LED
it. $
[22] Reverb On/Off: Actionne ou désactive le
Reverb dans la section mise en évidence par
la LED Edit.
[23] On/Off Switch: Interrupteur général.
[24] AC Adaptor Socket: Cette prise permet
de brancher votre clavier à un adaptateur
externe.
[25] MIDI Out Socket: Pour branchements
MIDI
OUT.

[1] Data Entry: Potenziometro dedicato all'in-
vio di messaggi di controllo assegnabili. All'ac-
censione risulta assegnato al controllo del
volume tramite invio di Control Change Mes-
sage Volume (CC-7).
[2] Data Entry Assign: Tastino per la assegna-
zione di uno dei messaggi di controllo Control
Change” al Potenziometro Data Entry.
[3] Transposer: Tastino per la attivazione o di-
sattivazione della trasposizione, e per la impo-
stazione della quantità di trasposizione.
[4] Start/Stop: Tastino per il controllo di Start
e Stop di unità di accompagnamento o sequen-
cers esterni tramite l'invio via MIDI di messag-
gi di Start e Stop (FA, FC).
[9] Expression Bar assegnabile a Modulazio-
ne, After Touch e Pitch Bender: Questo di-
spositivo permette di attivare gli effetti di
modulazione After Touch e Pitch Bender.
[6] Patch On/Off: Tastino che permette di at-
tivare o disattivare il modo patch, quando at-
tivato, (Modo Patch On) permette la selezione
delle patch tramite i 16 tastini dedicati.
[7] Sub Capital CC 00: Tastino che indirizza
i tastini numerici all'impostazione del valore del
CC 00 utilizzato per selezionare un Sub Capi-
tal, in modo patch seleziona le patches nume-
ro 13 o 29.
[8] Sub Capital CC 32: Tastino che indirizza
i tastini numerici all'impostazione del valore del
CC 32 utilizzato per selezionare un Sub Capi-
tal, in modo patch seleziona le patches 14 o 30.
[9] Capital Program Change: Tastino che in-
dirizza i tastini numerici alla selezione del Pro-
gram Change da spedire via MIDI, in modo
patch seleziona le patches numero 15 o 31.
[10] Tasti Numerici: In modo Patch permet-
tono di selezionare le Patches da 1 a 10 o da
17 a 26, in modo Free Panel i numeri di Cam-
bio Programma, Canali MIDI o parametri.
[11] Write: Permette di memorizzare una Patch
in una delle 32 locazioni disponibili.
[12] Enter: Genericamente conferma la sele-
zione effettuata sui tasti numerici, se in modo
patch seleziona le patches numero 11 o 27.
[13] MIDI/Param.: Indirizza i tasti numerici al-
le impostazioni dei canali MIDI o alla modifica
dei parametri, se in modo patch seleziona le pat-
ches numero 12 o 28.
[14/15] Octave Up & Octave Down: Traspon-
gono rispettivamente di un'ottava in alto e una
ottava in basso.
[16] Patch Down/Up: Funziona solamente in
modo Patch, permette di passare rapidamen-
te da una patch a quella successiva o a quella
precedente. Se dalla patch numero 32 si pre-
me Patch Up viene selezionata la Patch 1, se
dalla Patch numero 1 si preme Patch Down vie-
ne selezionata la Patch numero 32.
[17] Sustain: Tastino di Sustain.
{18] Patch 17/32: Permette di selezionare quali
patch richiamare tramite i 16 tastini dedicati
al richiamo delle patch. Se attivato, (LED ac-
ceso) i tastini dedicati al richiamo delle patch
selezioneranno le patch da 17 a 32.
[19] Edit: Permette la selezione di una delle
due sezioni alla quale indirizzare Cambi di pro-
gramma, Program Change, Octave Up/Down,
Canale MIDI, etc...
[20] Kbd Mode: Permette la selezione ciclica
dei modi di tastiera Upper, Lower,
Upper + Lower.
| [21] Chorus On/Off: Attiva o disattiva l'effet-
to di Chorus per la sezione indirizzata dal LED
Edit acceso.
[22] Reverb On/Off: Attiva o disattiva l'effet-
to di Reverb per la sezione indirizzata dal LED
Edit acceso.
[23] Power On/Off Switch: Interruttore di ac-
censione dello strumento.
[24] AC Adaptor Socket: Presa di collegamen-
to per alimentatore esterno. (Opzionale).
[25] MIDI Out Socket: Presa di collegamento

FEATURES
M AX-1 Shoulder Keyboard is a MIDI Master Control Key-
board that can be used whenever there is need for a key-
board without tone generation. Thanks to the new GS
Control, it is possible to send bank messages (CC. 00 and
CC 32) to select “Variation” sounds during “live” per-
formance.
WB It has a shoulder-strap which allows the musician to use
it on stage freely.
W It has a 45-note dynamic sensitive keyboard and can easily
control one or more MIDI sound modules.
E It has two separate sections (Upper, Lower) which can be
either used separately or together, creating split or layer
situations.
W Its shape and use recall a guitar: the modulation or after-
touch, pitch bender and sustain controls have been insert-
ed onto its "neck", to enable the musician to perform
**guitar-style'" excerpts.
@ They consist of touch-sensitive buttons that control propor-
tionally the above mentioned parameters. This new way of
control enables maximum sensitivity.
E It provides 32 User Memory Patches easily recalled by me-
ins i the 16 buttons with LEDs, placed on the instrument’s

terface. It is a standardized interface by which all digital
musical instruments also equipped with MIDI connections
can exchange data. This means that your AX-1 can be used
as a MIDI control keyboard to control other MIDI devices.

EIGENSCHAFTEN
W Das AX-1 Schulterkeyboard ist ein
MIDI-Master-Kontrollkeyboard, das
u.a. in der Lage ist, Bankwechsel
(CC 00 und CC 32) zu senden, um die
Variation-Klange innerhalb des RO-
LAND GS-Formats während “Li-
ve”-Darbietungen direkt anwählen
zu können.
E Es hat einen Schultergurt, der es
dem Musiker erlaubt, sich frei auf
der Bühne zu bewegen.
Wi Über die 45 anschlagdynamischen
Tasten lassen sich mehrere MIDI-
Soundmodule sehr leicht verwalten.
M Zwei separate Sektionen (Upper/Lo-
wer) kónnen entweder übereinan-
dergelegt (Layer) oder gesplittet

@ Seine Form und Bedienung ähneln
dem einer Gitarre: die Modula-

strumente). Diese genormte Schnitt-
stelle erlaubt den Datenaustausch
zwischen Instrumenten, die mit MI-
DI ausgerüstet sind. Das AX-1 ist
ein MIDI-Steuerinstrument, welches
