Before using your Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the exterior and interior packing. Ensure that any packaging material is
not left within reach of children.
Before connecting the Beverage fridge or Wine Fridge to the power source, let it
stand upright for approximately 12 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a
malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.
Clean the interior surface with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
Install the handle on the left or Right side of the door depending on suitable
handing. A Hinge reverse kit is supplied with the fridge. (See reversing door
application pg. 10).
This appliance is designed to be for free standing installation or built-in (fully
recessed). – Refer to Technical drawing for Cabinet Opening dimensions, pg. 4
Place your Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge on a level floor that is strong enough to
support it when it is fully loaded. Net weight unloaded with bottles/cans – 49kg
Wine Fridge & 46kg Beverage Fridge.
To level your Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge, adjust the leveling legs located at
the bottom of the Fridge. It is recommended to adjust the rear feet prior to adjusting
the front feet to level the cabinet.
Locate the Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge away from direct sunlight and sources
of heat (stove, radiator, electric radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic
door coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption.
Avoid locating the unit in a humid or moist area such as a laundry.
This unit is not designed to be housed behind a door as it requires front ventilation,
so it is not recommended to be used in a Pantry or behind a cabinet door.
Plug the Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge into an exclusive, properly
installed-grounded wall outlet with a surge protector. Extension leads are not
recommended.
Ensure that the unit is not placed beside a microwave oven as their use in close
proximity may affect the operation of the fridge.
For Built in Application
The Hafele Built in Beverage and Wine Fridges are front venting drawing in air from the
rear of the cabinet and expelling the air through the front ventilation grill.
The Hafele Built in Beverage and Wine Fridges require 10mm clearance on both sides
and top and 30mm at the rear to ensure adequate ventilation.
If required the Beverage and Wine fridges have Power switches located on the control
panel, so no need to have access to the Power Point unless needing to be removed for
relocating or servicing.
The power cord is 1.9mt long and located on the RH rear side of the unit (when looking
from the front).
If the Beverage Fridge or Wine Fridge is located in smaller room or warm room, such
as a boardroom or study where ventilation is restricted, we would suggest providing
additional ventilation from the top rear of the joinery/cabinet panel. Hafele provides a
selection of ventilation grills to suit the purpose and style of joinery.
