-Thisappliancecannot beinstalled outdoors, noteven ifthe area inwhichit isinstalled is
covered byaroof; it isalsoverydangeroustoleaveit exposed tothe rainandelements.
-Donot touchtheheatingelement duringorafterawashcycle.
-Donot leanorsit on the doorwhen it isopen, asthiscouldoverturnthe dishwasher.
-Ifthe appliancemalfunctions, turnoff watersupplytotheappli-anceand disconnect the
plugfromthe wall socket. Then, con-sult the sectionentitled, "Troubleshooting". Ifyoucan
not solvethe problem, contact aservicecentre.
-Onlyspecialised personnelareauthorised tomakerepairs.
-Applianceswhichareno longerbeingused mustbe made inoperablebycuttingthe power
supplycordand removingthe doorlock.
-The appliancemust bepositioned sothatthe plugisaccessible.orfeet;
-The carpetmustnotobstructthe openingwhen the appliancein-stallingon theground with
carpet.

5.InstallationandAccessoryParts
5.1PositioningtheAppliance
Position theapplianceinthedesiredlocation.The back shouldrestagainstthe wallbehind it,
and thesides,alongtheadjacentcabinetsorwall.The dishwasherisequippedwithwater
supplyand drainhosesthatcan be positioned on the rightorthe lefttofacilitateproper
installation.
5.2LevelingtheAppliance
Oncethe applianceispositioned, adjust the feet (screwtheminorout)tolevelthe
dishwasher.Inanycase,the applianceshouldnotbeinclinedmorethan2°.Ifthe
applianceislevel,it willhelpensureproperperformance.

5.3ColdWaterConnection
Connectthe coldwatersupplyhosetoathreaded 3/4(gas)connectorand makesurethatit
isfastened tightlyinplace(see Fig1).If thewaterpipesareneworhavenotbeenused for
an extended period oftime,letthe waterrun tomakesurethatthe waterisclearand free of
impurities.Ifthisprecaution isnottaken,thereisarisk thatthewaterinletcangetblocked
and damage the appliance.
5.4HotWaterConnection The watersupplytothe appliancecan alsobe
connected tothe house'shot waterline(centralised
system,heating system),aslong asitdoesnotexceed a
temperatureof 60℃
Inthiscase, the washcycletimewillbe shortened by
about 15minutesand the washefficiency slightly
reduced.
The connection must be made tothe hot waterline
followingthe sameproceduresasthoseforthe
connection tothe coldwaterline.
Attention:
The specialplastichosesupport must be solidly
fastened tothe walltoprevent thedrainhosefrom
moving and allowing watertospilloutside thedrain.
Electrical Connection
Aftermaking surethat the voltage andfrequency values
forthe currentinthehomecorrespondtothoseon the rating plate(located on thestainless
steelinnerdoorof theappliance)andthatthe electricalsystemissized forthe maximum
voltage on the rating plate,insert the plug intoan electricalsocket whichisearthed properly
(the earthing of the applianceisasafetyrequirementmandated bylaw). If the electrical
socket towhichthe appliancemust be connected isnot appropriateforthe plug,replacethe
plug, ratherthan usingadaptorsorthe likeastheycouldcauseoverheatingand burns.
5.5DrainHose Connection
Insertthe drainhoseintoadrainpipe withaminimumdiameterof4cm,orletitrun intothe
sink, makingsuretoavoidbending orcrimpingit. Usethe specialplasticsupport thatcomes
withthe appliance(see Fig.2).Thefree endofthe hosemust be at aheightbetween 40and
100 cmand must not be immersed inwater.

Salt
The hardnessofthe watervariesfromplacetoplace.Ifhardwaterisused inthe
dishwasher,depositswillformon the dishesutensils.
The applianceisequipped withaspecialsoftenerthatusesasaltspecificallydesigned to
eliminatelimeand mineralsfromthe water.
LoadingtheSaltintotheSoftener
Always usesaltintended forusewithdishwashers.
The salt containerislocated beneaththe lowerrack and shouldbe filled asfollows:
-Removethe lowerrack and then unscrewand removethe cap fromthe salt container;
-If you arefilling the containerforthefirst time, fillit withwater;
-Placetheendofthefunnel(supplied)intothe holeandintroduceabout2kgofsalt.Itis
normalforasmallamount of watertocomeout of thesalt container.
-Carefullyscrewthe cap backon.
The salt containershouldbe filled afteraboutevery30 wash
cycles.
Toprevent the formationofrust, loadthesaltjust
beforebeginningawashcycle.
AdjustingSaltConsumption
The dishwasherisequippedwithasystemtoadjust the levelof salt consumption infunction
of the hardness of thewaterbeing used inordertooptimizeandcustomizethe levelof salt
consumption whilekeeping it toaminimum.
Toadjust salt consumption,proceed asfollows:
-Unscrewthe cap fromthe salt container;
-Thereisaring onthe containerwithan arrowon it(see
figuretotheside),If necessary,rotatetheringinthe
anticlockwisedirectionfromthe "-"setting towardsthe "+"
sign,based onthe hardness of the waterbeingused.
It isrecommended thatadjustmentsbe made in
accordancewiththe following scheme:

Detergent
Detergentspecificallyintended forusewithdishwashersmustbe used.The dispensermust
be refilled beforethestartofeachwashcyclefollowing the instructionsprovided inthe
"WashCycleTable."The detergent dispenserislocated on the insidepanelthedoor.
Loadingthedetergent
Toopen the "A"coveron the dispenser,press the "B"button.The detergentforthe wash
cycleshouldbepoured intothe "C"compartment.
Afterthe detergent hasbeenplacedinthedispenser, closethecoverand press downuntilit
clicks inplace.
Notice:Tofacilitateclosing thecover, remove anye
xcess detergenton theedgesofthedispenser.Rinse Aid
Thisproductmakesdishessparkleand helps
themtodrywithoutspotting.The dispenseris
located ontheinsidepanelofthedoorand
shouldbe filledafterevery80 washcycle(or
when the rinseaidindicatorlightcomeson for
thosemodelswiththisfeature).
TheRinse Aid
Toopen thedispenser,turnthe "C"cap inthe
anti-clockwisedierctionand then pourinthe rinseaid,making surenottooverfill.The amount
ofrinseaidusedforeachcyclecan be regulated byturningthe"F"doseadjustor,located
beneaththe"C"cap,withascrewdriver.Thereare6differentsettings;the normaldosage
setting is3.
Important
Properdosage of therinseaidimprovesdrying.
If dropsofwaterremainon the dishesor
spotting occurs,thedosageadjustorshouldbe
turned toahighersetting.
If thedisheshavewhitestreaks,turnthe dosage
adjustortoalowersetting.
