Menu Functions
Video Set Up:
Pressing MENU button once will bring the VideoSet Up menu on the TV.
The following isshown on your TV screen:
To follow the below procedure to change
according to yourchoice:
1.Press the CH(+) and CH(-) button to go
up and downthe menu.
2.Press the VOL(+) and VOL(-) button to
increase and decreasethe level to your
preference for eachitem.
3.When the desiredlevel is selected press
menu to goback and then by pressing
menu again willbring you to main menu
selection.
Adjustment of Picture Quality:
To adjust the picture quality from the factory presetread the following:
Picture: By increasing the level. It willadjust white areas of picture andby decreasing the level ,
it will adjustblack areas of picture.
Brightness: By increasingthe level, it will addmore light todark parts ofthe picture and by
decreasing the level,it will addmore dark to light parts ofthe picture.
Color: By increasingthe level. It will adjust the low and the high levelof the picture.
Sharpness: By increasingthe level, it will showcleaner and clearerimages and bydecreasing
the level, it will make picture smoother.
Hue: You can adjustthe tint of the picture by going into pictureset up menu. By decreasingthe
level, it will give red tint to skincolor and by increasing the color it will givegreen tint to
skin color.
Color Temp : By pressing the VOL(+/-) buttonsto select the three setting A)Neutral, B)Warm,
C)Cool.

Timer Set Up:

and set byusing VOL(+/-) buttons.
Ch. Select: This exclusive feature switches you toyour favorite channel at the
appropriate set time. Press VOL(+) and VOL(-) buttons to select the channel.
Time-Off : Press CH( +/-) buttons to scroll to Clock, then press VOL (-/+) buttons to
set the hourafter setting the hour press CH(- ) button to go tominute mode
and et byusing VOL(+/-) buttons.
Sleep Time: This feature allows you to turnoff television in pre-selected minutes (180,
170,160, ........,10 and0).
Remind time: Press CH( +/-) buttons to scroll to Clock, then press VOL (-/+) buttons
to set thehour after setting the hour pressCH( - ) button to goto minute mode
and set byusing VOL(+/-) buttons.
Ch. Switch: This feature lets you store yourfavorite channel. Once you storethe
channel number inthis function, when the settime is up, it willswitch over
to the setchannel. This feature is usedwith the Exchangefeature. Press
VOL(+) or VOL(-)button to select the channel.

Language: UseVOL(+/-) to select the OSD ineither English, French or Spanish.
Background: Press the VOL (+/-) buttons to selectbetween Background ONor Background
OFF. When the Background ON function is chosen, a moving"NO SIGNAL" sign will
be displayed ifthere is no input signal to the set.
Black Stretch: Press VOL (+/-)buttons to turn the Black Stretchfeature on or off. When the
Black Stretch functionis on the screen automatically increases the contrast range.
VNR: Press VOL (+/-) buttonsto turn the VNR function onor off. VNR is a term forVideo
Noise Reduction, a built-in device on the set that reducesvideo noise interference
so the vieweris assured a clear picture.
Fade: The FADE control allows for the picture tube towarm up and gently turn on,
which can helpprolong the life of the picture tube.
AVL: AutomaticVolume Limit control reduces effectof large volume changes such aswhen the
ads come on. Press VOL(+) button or VOL(-) button toset it ON or OFF.
C.Caption: Press VOL (+/-) buttonsto select the Closed Caption options. Closed
Captioning helps thehearing impaired with the broadcast program, as wellas helping
children learn howto read. A built in decoder displays theaudio portion of a program
as text onthe screen when this option is selected.
OFF: WhenOFF is displayed on TV meansC.Caption is turned off.
CC1: When CC1displayson TV means C.Caption is turned on.
CC2 to CC4:For other modes of video related broadcast information.
T1: For program guide and other information displayed by broadcasters.
(This blocks alarge portion of the picture on your screen).
T2 to T4:For other modes of information displayed by broadcasters.
(This blocks alarge portion of the picture on your screen).
Note: Select CC1 for full translation of theprimary language such asEnglish in your
area. Select CC2 for secondary language translation such as Spanish or anyother
language that maybe broadcast in your area.
Demo mode: This will display the main functionsof the TV set.

stored memory.
Current Ch. : Press VOL(+) button togo up andVOL (-) button to go downto set the
channel position. The display will show the currentplaying channel.
Fine: If the picture and/orsound are poor, try using the FINE TUNE feature.
Do not usethis feature unless reception is poor. Press VOL (+/-) tostart the Fine
Tune function.
Auto Program: Press VOL (+) button orVOL (-) buttonto auto program in channels.
This search automaticallyadds only the active channels inyour area to the TV's
memory. It deletes any channelson which there is no broadcastor a poor signal.
Note: The Auto Search function will scan thechannels on the selected antenna
input. Ifthe TV is connected to cable, please selectCable under Antenna.
Calendar:
Your TVhas been designedwith a calendar. By pressingMENU button ,andthen
pressing VOL-/+ button it will bring you to Calendar. You will see the following
display on TVscreen.

item, the month item or the date item.

Press the MENU Button on your remote controlto go to Password menu,then input
the password (0000). It will bringParental Lock set updisplay on the screen. You

To set the V-CHIP function:
Select the TVRating option. You will see theTV Rating menu on your TV screen:

mode then V-CHIP function isactivated to acceptthe V-CHIP signal.
Password
The "Default Password" preset bythe manufacturer is"0000" . If you want tochange
the preset passwordto your own password, just choose any four digits that canbe
easily remembered andset. Once you set passwordfor a particular channel, that
channel will beblocked. This channel can only be accessed withthe password.
LOCK Menu
AV LOCK:When it isset ON,you can not usethe AV.
PROGRAM LOCK:Whenit is set ON,the current channel is locked,you can not see
the program ofthis channel.

To understand clearly about TV programs rating codes, read thefollowing list:
U.S. TV Program Ratings
NR: Not Rated-this means that programs are not rated or rating does notapply.
TV-Y:For all children-this type of rated programs are designed fora very young audience,
including children fromages 2-6.
TV-Y7:Directedfor older children - this typeof rated programsmay include comedic violence
of mild physical, or mayfrighten children under the age of7.
TV-G:General Audience-this type of rated programscontains little orno violence, no strong
language, and little or nosexual dialogue andsituations.
TV-PG:ParentalGuidance Suggested-this type of rated programs may containlimited violence,
some suggestive sexualdialogue and situations, and rarelanguage.
TV-14:Parents strongly cautioned-this type of ratedprograms may containsexual content,
strong language andmore intense violence.
TV-MA:Mature audience only-this type of rated programs may containsexual violence,
explicit sexual contentand profane language.
FV: This type of ratedprograms contain Fantasy and cartoon violence.
