12)Lightning precaution - For added protection for this TV receiver during a lightning storm or when it
is left unattended for long period of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the
antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the TV due to lighting and power line surges.
13)Object and liquid entry - Never push objects of any kind into this TV through openings as they
may touch dangerous voltage point or short out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.
Avoid spilling liquid of any kind on the TV.
14)Servicing - Do not attempt to service the TV by yourself, as opening or removing covers may
expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel.
15)Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this TV from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified
service personnel under the following conditions:
a. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
b. If liquid has been spilled, or objects have been fallen into the TV.

receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

Menu Functions
Video Set Up:
Pressing MENU buttononce will bringthe Video Set Up menu on the TV.
The following isshown on yourTV screen:

picture quality ofyour choice:

Adjustment of PictureQuality:
Toadjust the picturequality from the factory preset readthe following:
Contrast: By increasing the level, it will adjustwhite areas ofpicture and by decreasing the level,
it will adjustblack areas of picture.
Brightness: By increasingthe level, it will add morelight to darkparts of the picture and by
decreasing the level,it will add more dark tolight parts ofthe picture.
Color: By increasingthe level, it will adjust the low and the high level of the picture.
Sharpness: By increasingthe level, it will show cleanerand clearer imagesand by decreasing
the level, itwill make picture smoother.
Tint: You can adjustthe tint of the picture bygoing into pictureset up menu. By decreasing the
level, it willgive red tint to skin colorand by increasingthe color it will give greentint to
skin color.

C.Caption: Press VOL(+/-) buttons to select the ClosedCaption options. Closed
Captioning helps thehearing impaired withthe broadcast program, as well ashelping
children learn howto read. A builtin decoder displays the audio portion of a program
as text onthe screen when this option is selected.
OFF: When OFF is displayed onTV it means C.Caption is turned off.
CC1: When CC1displays on TV it means C.Captionis turned on.

channel will beblocked. This channel can only be accessed withthe password.

The "V-ChipTechnology" allowyou to use U.S. and Canada Moviesand TV
PROGRAMS Guide ratingsto block certain types of TVprograms and movies.
To understand clearly about TVprograms rating codes, read the following list:
U.S. TV Program Ratings
NR: Not Rated-this means that programs arenot rated or rating does notapply.
TV-Y:For all children-this type of rated programs are designed fora very young audience,
including children from ages 2-6.
TV-Y7:Directedfor older children- this type of rated programsmay include mild physical
violence, or may frighten childrenunder the age of 7.
TV-G:General Audience-this type of rated programs contains little orno violence, no strong
language, and little or nosexual dialogue and situations.
TV-PG:Parental Guidance Suggested-this type ofrated programs maycontain limited violence,
some suggestive sexualdialogue and situations, and rarelanguage.
TV-14:Parents strongly cautioned-this type of ratedprograms may contain sexual content,
