4)Attachments-Do not useattachments not recommended by the TVmanufacturer as they may
cause
hazards.
5) Water and moisture-Do notplace this TVnear water, for example, neara bathtub, wash bowl,
kitchen sink, or laundry tub, ina wet basement, or near aswimming pool.
6)Accessories - Donot place this TV on anunstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket ortable. The TV may
fall causing serious injury to someone,and serious damage to the appliance.Use only with a cart,
stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommendedby the manufacturer`s, or sold withthe TV. Any
mounting of the appliance should followthe manufacturer`s instructionsand should usea
mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. Anappliance and cart combination should
be moved with care. Quick stops,excessive force, anduneven surface maycause the appliance
and
cart combination to overturn.
7) Ventilation- Slots and openings in thecabinet and the back or bottomare provided for ventilation
and to prevent overheating. These openingsmust not be locked in anbuilt in installation such as a
bookcase or rack unless proper ventilationis provided or the manufacturer instructionshave been
adhered to.
8)Power sources -This TV should be operated only from thetype of power sources indicated onthe
electrical nameplate. If you are notsure of the type of thepower supply to your home, consultyour
appliance dealer or local power company. For TV`s intended to operatefrom battery power or other
source, refer to the operation instructions.
9)Grounding or polarization- This TV is equipped with a polarizedalternating current line plug (a
plug having one blade wider thanthe other is). This plug willfit into the power outlet onlyone way.
This is safety feature. If youare unable to insert the plugfully into the outlet, try reversingthe plug.
If
the plug should still fail tofit, contact your electrician to replaceyour outlet. Don`t defeat the safety
purpose of the polarized plug.
10)Power cord protection- Power supply cords should berouted so that they are notlikely to be
walked on orpinched by items placed upon oragainst them, paying particular attention tocords or
plugs, convenience receptacle,and the point where they exitfrom the appliance.
11) Outantenna grounding - If an outside
antenna or cablesystem is grounded so as to
provide some protectionagainst voltage surges
and built upstatic charges. Article 810 ofthe
National Electrical Code,ANSI/NEPANO.70,
provided information withrespect to proper
grounding of themast and supporting structure,
grounding of thelead in wire to antenna
discharge unit, sizeof grounding conductors,
location of antennadischarge unit, connection
to grounding electrodes,and requirement for
the grounding electrode.(Fig. A)
