Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to

Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use this product in damp or wet locations. Don’t
expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted.
3. Store idle equipment. When not in use, products must be stored in a dry location to inhibit
rust. Always lock up products and keep out of reach of children.
4. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for which this product was
designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not
modify this product and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.
5. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should
be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and
any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.

6. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this
product. Approved accessories are available from Harbor Freight Tools.
7. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on
prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there
is any doubt, do not operate the product.
8. When using Car Window Mount accessory, make certain that electric car windows remain in a
fixed position. Rolling up the window may result in damage to the window, camera and Window
Mount.
9. The camera mount is designed to support an average weight camera; never attempt to mount a
camera weighing more than 4.5 lbs.
Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction
manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may
occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and
caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be
supplied by the operator.
Assembly
Your Telescopic Tripod with Car Mount will require some assembly prior to use. It is important that
you read the entire manual to become familiar with the unit BEFORE you use the Tripod. Before
assembling your Telescopic Tripod be sure that you have all parts described in the Parts List located
on the last pages of this manual.
Standard Setting
Step 1) Spread out the three (3) Legs (#1) of the Telescopic Tripod. Set the Tripod down at
the point that you will be viewing from-see Figure 1.
Step 2) Insert the Mounting Screw (#2) up into the threaded mounting receptacle in your
camera. Turn the Mounting Screw Knob (#3) clockwise until the camera is securely
in place on the Tripod-See Figure 2.
Step 3) Raise or lower the Center Post (#4) by loosening the Clamping Lever (#5), adjusting
the Center Post (#4) and tightening the Clamping Lever (#5) into place.

Step 4) The camera can be tilted to different viewing angles from + 95 degrees to -55
degrees. To tilt the camera, loosen the Two-Finger Knob (#6) opposite the
Handle (#7)-see Figure 2. Use the Handle (#7) to angle or rotate the camera.
Tighten down the Two-Finger Knob (#6) into desired position.
Setting Up the Car Mount
Step 1) Loosen the Two-Finger Knob (#6) and separate the Legs (#1) and Center Post (#4)
from the top of the Tripod body. Insert the threaded portion of the Car Mount (#8)
into the Two-Finger Knob (#6) as shown in Figure 2.

Step 2) Set the Car Mount (#8) over the lip of the window and tighten the Car Mount Knob
until the Car Mount and camera sit securely in place-as in Figure 3.

Warning: Never attempt to use the product while driving a vehicle.
Make certain that the camera and Telescopic Tripod with Car Mount are securely
mounted to the lip of the window and that the strap is held while taking pictures from
a vehicle.
Warning: The camera mount is designed to support an average weight camera; never attempt
to mount a camera weighing more than 15 lbs.
Using the Arm Brace
Step 1) With the Legs (#1) of the Tripod attached, insert two Legs (#1) together into both
loops of the Arm Brace (#11)-see Figure 4. Insert the third Tripod Leg (#1) into the
opposite loop of the Arm Brace (#11)-see Figure 4.
Step 2) Rest the Arm Brace (#11) over your forearm, while grasping the Handle (#7).
View your object thorugh the lens of your camera and take pictures. Adjust settings
as necessary.

Operation
To assist you with operation please refer to the Operational Figures as well as the Parts List and
Assembly diagram located on the last pages of this manual.
Do not attempt to support more than the maximum weight of 4.5 Lbs. on the Telescopic Tripod.
Position and support the camera safely and securely before using the product.

Unpack and Check Contents
When unpacking your Telescopic Tripod with Car Mount, check to make sure the following parts are
included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS
