Intended use
This device serves as a pick-up for acoustic string instruments. Any other use or use under
other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury
or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damage resulting from improper use.

jure themselves when handling the device. Never allow children to play with the
packaging material and the device. Always store packaging material out of the
reach of babies and small children. Always dispose of packaging material prop-
erly when it is not in use. Never allow children to use the device without supervi-
sion. Keep small parts away from children and make sure that the device does
not shed any small parts (such as knobs) that children could play with.
Incorrect handling of lithium batteries can result in injury!
In the event of a short circuit, overheating or mechanical damage, lithium batter-
ies can cause severe injuries. Handle lithium batteries in a correct and profes-
sional manner. Store lithium batteries in a cool and dry place in their original
packaging. Keep lithium batteries away from sources of heat. Never open lithi-
um batteries. Only charge rechargeable lithium batteries with a suitable charger.
Remove the lithium batteries before disposing of the device. Cover the poles of
used lithium batteries with adhesive tape to prevent short circuits. Electrolyte
can escape from damaged lithium batteries. Put the damaged lithium battery in
air-tight packaging. Collect the electrolyte with absorbent paper. Wear rubber
gloves while doing so.
Risk of re due to incorrect polarity!
Incorrectly inserted batteries may cause res and destroy the device and the
batteries. Observe the markings on the batteries and on the device. Ensure that
proper polarity is observed when inserting batteries.
Possible damage due to leaking batteries!
Batteries can leak and cause permanent damage to the device. Remove the bat-

Only operate the device indoors within the ambient conditions specied in the
“Technical specications”. Avoid operating it in environments with direct sun-
light, heavy dirt and strong vibrations. Avoid operating it in environments with
strong temperature uctuations. If temperature uctuations cannot be avoided
(for example after transport in low outside temperatures), do not switch on the
device immediately. Never subject the device to liquids or moisture. Never move
the device to another location while it is in operation. In environments with in-
creased dirt levels (for example due to dust, smoke, nicotine or mist): Have the
device cleaned by qualied specialists at regular intervals to prevent damage
due to overheating and other malfunctions.
General handling
• To prevent damage, never exert force while operating the device.
• Never immerse the device in water. Wipe only with a clean and dry cloth. Do not use
liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or ammable cleaning agents
• When the device is not in use, disconnect the plug from the chassis coupling of the
device to prevent unnecessary draining of the battery.
• Not suitable for guitars with nitro lacquer or shellac. If left on instruments with a poly-
ester nish, the lack of light irradiation at the mounting point can cause light-related
discolouration on the instrument.

Installation
1. Clean the surface of the instrument in the place where you wish to attach the pick-up.
2. Clamp the pick-up into the sound hole of the instrument.
3. Connect coupling %of pick-up cable $to a suitable amp via a shielded instrument cable and switch on the amp.
4. You can attach the leather tab &holding the coupling to the strap pin of your instrument via its hole.
Operation
1. The device uses two separate pick-up systems, one magnetic and one supported by microphone. The microphone also transmits the impact or strumming noises as well
as the sound characteristics of the instrument body, which generates a more authentic sound stage.
Note: If the device is used on instruments with nylon strings, only the signal recorded by the microphone arrives at the output, because magnetic pick-ups only work on
instruments with metal strings.
2. Use [Volume] öto set the required overall volume. Use [Mic] #to control the share of the overall signal recorded by the microphone.
3. If you turn up [Volume] öand [Mic] #to full, this may result in feedback. In this case you should reduce the microphone volume using [Mic] #.
4. Disconnect the instrument cable from coupling %of the device when not in use. This prevents the batteries 'from being drained unnecessarily.
5. If the level of the output signal starts to drop over time, the batteries are empty and must be replaced. Remember the polarity of the inserted batteries and remove them
from the battery holder. Insert two fresh CR2032 batteries with the same polarity.
