Toentera stationto the memory,first tunethe
stationusingthe stepsoutlinedaboveThen:
1,Pressthe Memory button [] onthe
remote,Notethat MEMOand PRESET
indicatorsWillilluminateandflashinthe
InformationDisplay,
2,Within five seconds,pressthe Numeric
Keys [] correspondingto the locationwhere
youwishto storethis station'sflequency,
3,Repeatthe processaftertuning anyaddition-
al stationsto bepreset,
Auto Preset
• Presetstationsmayalsobeprogrammed
automaticallyfor the FMband To automatically
entereachstationthat maybetuned with
acceptablequalityintothe HK3370'spreset
memories,first selectthe FMband Next,press
and brieflyholdthe Auto Preset button[]
until the MEMOand PRESETindicatorsbegin
to flash,andthe station frequencyindication
beginsto increaseReleasethe button and note
that thetuner will searchthe entireFM band,
andstopbrieflyat eachstationthat hasaccept-
ablesignalstrength,TheHK3370 will automat-
icallyassignapresetnumberto eachstation,
andthensearchforthe nextstation Theauto-
maticscanprocesswill stopwhen all 30 preset
memorylocationshavebeenfilledor the entire
FMbandhasbeenscannedthreetimes.
NOTE:Usingthe automatictuning modein
areaswith morethan30 FMstationswill com-
pletelyfill the presetmemories,and over-write
anypreviouslymemorizedpresetsfor eitherAM
or FMstations
TIP:Theautomaticscanprocessmayentersta-
tionsthat youdo not wishto retain in the
memory,or it mayentera stationon morethan
one frequencyif the signalistoo strong These
unwantedstationsmayberemovedfromthe
memoryusingthe PresetClearfunctionout-
linedbelow,
RecallingPresetStations
• Tomanuallyselectastationpreviously
enteredinthe presetmemory,pressthe
Numeric Keys [] that correspondto the
desiredstation'smemorylocation,
• To manua]lytunethroughthe listof stored
presetstationsonebyone,pressthe Preset
buttons [] _} onthe front panelor remote,
• Toautomaticallyscanthroughthe stations
enteredinthe presetmemory,pressthe
Preset Scan button[] _ onthe front
panelor remote.Thetunerwill runthrough the
listof presetstations,stoppingfor five seconds
at eachone,Pressthe button againto stopthe
scanat yourdesiredstation,
Clearing Preset Stations
Unwantedpresetstationsmaybe erasedfrom
the unit'smemoryto makeit easierto tune
onlythosestationsyouwant
Toremoveapresetstationfromthe HK3370's
tuner memory,firsttune to the stationusing
the Preset Scan button[] _) on the front
panelor remote,or byenteringthe presetnum-
berdirectly,usingthe Numeric Keys _'4,
Whenthe presetstationto beremovedhas
beentuned, firstpressthe Memory button
[]. TheMEMOand PRESETindicatorsin the
InformationDisplaywill flash,andthe actual
presetnumberwill disappearfromthe display
Next,pressthe Clear button [] within five
seconds
Thepresetstationwill beremovedflorathe
memory,andthe actionwill beconfirmedby
the briefappearanceof the word CL EA R and
the presetnumberlocationin the Information
Display,Thatmemorylocationwill now be
empty,andyou mayprograma differentstation
to that location,or leaveit empty
Tape Recording
Innormaloperation,the audiosourceselected
for Hsteningthroughthe HK3370is sentto the
lape MonOut andTape2RecOutoutputs.This
meansthatanyprogramyouarelisteningto
mayberecordedsimplybyplacingmachines
connectedto the outputsfor Tape Monitor
or Tape 2_ in the recordmode
Whena taperecorderwith separaterecordand
playbackheadsisused,youmaymonitorthe
output of the recordingbyselectingthe
T-Mon Indicator [] _, Notethat the
T-Mon Indicator will illuminateinthe
Information Display [] to remindyou
that youarelisteningto the recordplayback
insteadof the actualinputsourcebeing
recorded
IMPORTANTNOfE:Pleasemakecertainthat
youare awareof the copyrightrestrictionson
anymaterialyoucopy,
Memory Backup
Thisproductisequippedwith amemoWbackup
systemthat preservestuner presetsand system
configurationinformationif the unit isacciden-
tally unpluggedor subjectto a poweroutage
Processor Reset
Intherare casewherethe unit'soperationor
the displaysseemabnormal,the causemay
involvethe e_raticoperationofthe system's
memoryor microprocesson
Tocorrectthisproblem,first unplugthe unit
from theACwal] outlet and wait at leastthree
minutes,After the pause,reconnectthe AC
powercordandcheckthe unit'soperation,If
the systemstillmalfunctions,asystemreset
mayclearthe problem
Ifthe systemstilldoesnot respond,it maybe
necessaryto performacompletereset,To reset
the system,first turn the HK3370off bypress-
ingthe Main Power Switch [] andthen
releasingit sothat it extendsout beyondthe
front panelandthe word "OFF"isvisiblein red
letteringatthe top ofthe switch,
Next,pressand holdthe T-Mon andCD
Input Selector buttons[] [] on the front
panelONLYWhileholdingthesebuttonsin,
pressthe Main Power Switch [] in until it
latchesso that the button isflushwith the
front panel
TheInformationDisplaywill brieflyshowthe
word RE EE T, andthenreturnto normal
operation,
Notethat whenthe systemisresetin this fash-
ion,alltuner presetswill belost and mustbe
reentered,
Ifthe systemisstilloperatingincorrectly,there
mayhavebeenan electronicdischargeor
severeAClineinterferencethat hascorrupted
the memoryor microprocesso_
Ifthesestepsdo not solvethe problem,consult
