INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the Hatsan Volt Dual-Power Portable PCP Air Compressor!
Always exercise caution when operating this compressor. It will allow you to fill your PCP airguns with ease.
Please read the entire manual very carefully before use. Any damage or injury resulting from misuse or incorrect
handling is the sole responsibility of the owner and/or operator.
This symbol marks warnings and cautions in this operation manual. Carefully follow them for your own safety
and the safety of others.
Warning!
1. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
2. Do not operate in an area where contaminants can be drawn into the compressor.
3. Do not operate in extremely dusty or marine environments.
4. Do not operate near smoke or an open flame.
5. This compressor generates pressurized air, heat, and noise. Eye, skin, and ear protection
are recommended during use.
6. The compressor should not be disassembled for any reason, otherwise serious damage/
injury/death may be caused to you or others.
7. Disassembly of this compressor can result in leaks, damage, and will void your warranty.
8. Do not transport or place this compressor into a storage location while it is pressurized or
is hot after running. Depressurize and allow to cool before storing or transporting.
9. Use only approved filters, hoses, fittings, and accessories. It is your responsibility to check
for leaks before using to fill (see instructions later in this manual).
10. This compressor is designed to produce compressed air only. Do not attempt to feed other
gasses or pressurized air through for compression. NO OTHER GAS OR GAS COMBINATION
CAN BE USED.
11. Failure to follow instructions and heed warnings may result in damage, serious injury, and/
or death.
This compressor has a maximum operating pressure of 4500 PSI (310 BAR) and a maximum operating
temperature of 195 Degrees Fahrenheit. Do not allow the machine to operate above these conditions.
*Allow the compressor to cool back to ambient temperature after each fill cycle.*

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
CAUTION
• This compressor is not intended to produce breathable air.
• This portable compressor is not intended to fill volumes above 1000cc (1L) at
a time or pressures above 310 BAR (4500 PSI). Runtimes should be limited to
30-minute intervals.
• To reliably produce clean air, the filter media must be monitored on a regular
basis and changed when necessary. Filter life will vary due to many factors,
including but not limited to: humidity, temperature, purge frequency, and cycle
times.
• Wear safety glasses when operating this equipment.
• Always monitor the compressor while it is running. Never let it run above its
maximum operating pressure or temperature.
• DO NOT leave this compressor running while unattended, and NEVER allow it to
operate above 310 BAR / 4500 PSI for any reason.
• Use caution when purging air from the system. Loosen the vent screw slowly.
The escaping air can cause damage.
• Noise from purging may be loud, especially if you are in a small space. Hearing
protection is recommended while the compressor is operating.
• When filling a reservoir, it can become very warm to the touch. Refrain from
holding the airgun or reservoir during the filling process.
• Parts of this compressor can become hot enough to cause burns. Do not
operate the compressor without all its protective panels in place, and do not
touch the ventilation openings or handle the compressor at any time during or
immediately after operation. It is advisable to allow the compressor to cool
back to ambient temperature before handling or moving after it has been used.

1. POWER REQUIREMENTS
NOTE: The fuse size listed is the recommended size for a dedicated inline fuse.
If using a fused power source, verify that it is capable of handling the indicated amperage in addition to any other existing loads!
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THIS COMPRESSOR IF THE SYSTEM VOLTAGE IS BELOW 12V!

3. INITIAL SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
It is recommended that you follow these initial setup instructions before using your compressor
for filling. Failure to do so may result in poor performance or premature breakdown.
1. Select a suitable space for your compressor to be unpacked.
2. Carefully remove your compressor and other contents from the box.
3. Visually inspect the compressor for any shipping damages before continuing onto the next
steps.
4. Locate the brass vent screw and install it into the threaded opening on the front of the
compressor.
5. Attach the fill whip to the compressor’s quick disconnect outlet on the front side of the
compressor, above the vent screw and burst disk.
6. To power the compressor, first decide whether you will be using a 115VAC/230VAC or
12VDC power source. The AC power wire is black and will be plugged into the black terminal
on the back of the compressor. The 12VDC power cables are red & black, and will be
plugged into the yellow terminal on the back of the compressor. Plug the selected cable into
the compressor.
7. If using AC power, first verify that the AC voltage selector switch is set to match your wall
outlet voltage. Plug the other end of the power cable into a wall outlet that can support the
rated amperage listed on the previous page.
8. If using 12VDC, attach the BLACK cable clamp to the NEGATIVE battery terminal and the
RED cable clamp to the POSITIVE battery terminal.
9. The Digital display will illuminate and show system voltage. Operating voltage is 12-14V.
4. FIRST RUN & LEAK TEST
Follow the steps below prior to using the compressor to fill any reservoir, before use after
storage, or any time you suspect there may be a pressure leak.
1. Connect the corresponding power cable to your compressor, then the power source, being
careful to connect the terminals to their corresponding polarity (if using 12VDC). If using AC
power, the internal power supply’s cooling fan will immediately turn on.
2. The compressor’s default shut-off pressure is 250 BAR. This is a suitable test pressure. Install
the test plug into the end of the fill whip, and verify that the collar has locked to secure it in
place.
3. Push the red ON/OFF button on the control panel to begin filling. The high speed fan will
immediately begin running. WARNING: DISCONTINUE USE IF THE FAN DOES NOT TURN ON!
4. The compressor will stop running once it has reached the set pressure and display a message
confirming that it has finished filling.
5. Without venting the system, listen for a hissing or whistling sound along the fill whip and
around the vent area, which will indicate a leak. Mark or record the location of any leak
discovered. You may disconnect power to shut off the internal fans so that leaks can be heard
more easily.
6. Loosen the vent screw on the front of the compressor in order to depressurize the system.
7. If a leak is found, tighten any loose fittings and/or replace any damaged fittings, seals, or
hoses. If a leak is determined to be inside the compressor, contact HatsanUSA for service.

5. COMPRESSOR FILL OPERATION
Follow these instructions to for filling your airgun or reservoir.
1. Connect the corresponding power cable to your compressor, then the power source, being
careful to connect the terminals to their corresponding polarity (if using 12VDC). If using AC
power, the internal power supply’s cooling fan will immediately turn on.
2. The compressor’s default shut-off pressure is 250 BAR. Use the yellow (+) or (-) buttons to
adjust shut-off pressure to your desired fill pressure. WARNING: NEVER FILL AN AIRGUN /
RESERVOIR ABOVE ITS INDICATED FILL PRESSURE!
3. Attach your fill probe to the end of the fill whip, and verify that the collar has locked to
secure it in place.
4. Insert the fill probe fully into the airgun’s fill port.
5. Push the red ON/OFF button on the control panel to begin filling. The high speed fan will
immediately begin running. WARNING: DISCONTINUE USE IF THE FAN DOES NOT TURN ON!
6. Monitor the airgun’s / reservoir’s built in gauge if equipped to verify the pressure does not
exceed that of the operating pressure of the device.
7. The compressor will stop running once it has reached the set pressure and display a
message confirming that it has finished filling. The display will retain this message until the
system has been vented. The cooling fan will continue to run for 2 minutes after the
compressor has reached its fill pressure.
8. Loosen the vent screw on the front of the compressor to depressurize the fill whip.
9. Once the air has been vented, the system voltage and pressure information will be displayed
once again. The fan will continue to run until the 2-minute time is complete, or until the ON/
OFF button is depressed again. CAUTION: IT IS RECOMMENDED TO ALLOW THE COOLING FAN TO
RUN UNTIL IT SHUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY TO PREVENT OVERHEATING!
10.Remove the fill probe from your airgun.
NOTE: It is not recommended for this compressor to operate more than 30
continuous minutes. After this time period, allow at least 30 minutes for the
compressor to cool down to ambient temperature. Overuse will result in excessive
heat and moisture generation, and will lead to premature wear and/or failure.

6. MAINTENANCE
This is a low-maintenance product, however, it is not “maintenance-free”. Proper use and
maintenance of your Volt Compressor is critical to its longevity. Failure to properly maintain
your compressor will result in premature failure, and may void your warranty.
• Use only approved filters, hoses, fittings, and accessories. It is your responsibility to check
for leaks before using to fill.
• To reliably produce clean air, the filter must be monitored on a regular basis and changed
when necessary. Filter life will vary due to many factors, including but not limited to:
humidity, temperature, purge frequency, and cycle times.
• Parts of this compressor can become hot enough to cause burns. Do not operate the
compressor without all its protective panels in place, and do not touch or cover the
ventilation openings or handle the compressor at any time during or immediately after
operation. It is advisable to allow the compressor to cool before handling or moving after
it has been used.
Leak Checks
• Perform a System Leak Test every 30 hours of runtime or every six months –whichever
occurs first.
o Additionally, perform a System Leak Test any time the compressor is unused for
more than three months.
Filters and Desiccant
• Replace the cartridge filter and/or desiccant media every six months or anytime
moisture begins to be expelled from the fill whip.
• An additional inline filter may be desired when operating in very humid environments,
or simply as additional moisture protection for your airguns.
• An optional inline filter is available from HatsanUSA, which can be filled with desiccant
to decrease the amount of moisture transferred though the fill whip.
Voltage Selection
• The AC voltage input selector switch is accessed through an opening on the left side of
the compressor body. The default input voltage selection is 115V AC for standard US
household outlets.
o Leave or place the switch in the UP position for use with 115V AC outlets.
o Place the switch in the DOWN position for use with 230VA AC outlets.

7. Troubleshooting

8. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
One Year Limited Warranty –The Hatsan Volt Air Compressor is warranted to the original retail customer for one (1) year
from the date of purchase. A copy of the original purchase receipt is required for any warranty repairs. This warranty is not
transferable.
Warranty Claims and Repair –Use the Customer Service Form on our website (www.hatsanusa.com) to file a repair or
return request. This form is available under the “Contact Us” tab at the top of our website. You can also call HatsanUSA,
Inc. at [phone] x201. Proof of purchase must accompany all warranty claims.
Implied Warranties –Any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to
the duration of One (1) year from date of retail purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. To the extent any provision of this warranty is prohibited by
federal, state, or municipal law which cannot be preempted. It shall not be applicable this warranty gives you specific legal
rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state and country to country.
What Is Covered
• Repairs required due to manufacturing defect –including parts and labor
• Return shipping of the repaired or replaced product back to the consumer
What Is NOT Covered
• Repairs required due to abuse, misuse, neglect, or failure to perform proper maintenance
• Damages resulting from the use of incorrect supply voltage
• Consumables or components that are subject to normal wear
• Shipping damage or damages resulting from drops, impacts, or natural disasters
• Any component that has been modified in any way
• Consequential or incidental damages or expenses
• Property damage
Warranty Exceptions
This warranty will become void for any of the following reasons:
• Incorrect voltage or polarity has been applied to the compressor and/or power supply
• The compressor has been used for any purpose outside of its indicated function
• The compressor has been operated outside of the provided operating temperature and pressure
limitations
• The compressor has been disassembled and improperly reassembled
• The compressor has not been maintained
• The compressor has been equipped with unapproved, non-original parts
• The compressor has suffered damage due to mishandling
• The compressor has been improperly stored
• The compressor has been abused or misused in any way
