Safety Information

Power Cable and Plug
Pleasebesuretofollowthefollowinginstructionsinordertopreventthedevice
frommalfunctioningandtopreventelectricalshock,fires,andinjuries:
Youneedtoremovethepowerplugtodisconnectthepowercompletely.
Whendisconnectingthepowertoyourbox,alwaysunplugitbypullingtheplug
itselfandnotthecable.
Donoteverpluginorunplugthepowercablewithwethands.
Keepthepowercableawayfromheatersandradiators.
Neverputheavyobjectsonthepowercable.
Donottrytorepairthepowercableyourselfortomodifyitinanyway,shape,
orform.
Regularlycleanoffthedust,dirt,etc.fromtheplug.
Ifyoudroptheboxordamageitinanyfashion,disconnectthepowerplug.
Ifyounoticesmoke,strangesmells,ornoises,disconnectthepowerplug.
Contactyourdealerimmediately.
Duringathunderstorm,donotconnectordisconnecttheantennaordata
transmissionlines.

Where Not to Install the Box
Donotinstalltheboxinanyofthefollowinglocations:
Indirectsunlight,nexttoradiatorsorotherheatsourcesorinvehiclesparked
indirectsunlightwithallthewindowsrolledupandthedoorsclosed.
Locationswithextremelyhightemperatures(35°C/95°Forgreater)orlevelsof
humidity(90%orgreater).
Verydustyorsandylocations.
Locationswheretherearevibrations,shakingorslantedsurfacesunderneath.
Thiscoulddamagethecomponentsinthebox.
Onflammablesurfacessuchascloth‐coveredtables.
Keeptheboxawayfromflowervases,bathtubs,sinks,etc.,andfromlocations
wheretheboxisexposedtoprecipitation.Theboxmaybeseverelydamagedif
anyliquidentersit.
Problems with Other Devices
Setuptheboxinahorizontalpositionanddonotplaceanyheavyobjectsonit.
Donotplacetheboxonanamplifieroranyotherdevicethatgivesoffheat.
Housing and Internal Components
Neverremoveoropenanypartofthehousinganddonottrytoperformany
repairsyourself.Anymaintenanceorrepairworkshouldbedonebyaqualified
technician.
Keepfingersandobjectsawayfromtheinsideofthebox.
Itisdangeroustotouchanyofthecomponentsinsidethebox.Doingsomay
injureyouanddamagethebox.
Donotplaceanyobjectsonthebox.
Theboxshouldonlybecleanedwithasoft,dry,anti‐staticcloth.

Condensation
Condensationmaydevelopintheboxinthefollowingcircumstances:
Rightafteranearbyheaterorradiatorwhichhasbeenturnedon,
Inaveryhumidorsteam‐filledroom,
Iftheboxwasmovedfromacoldlocationtoawarmone.
Condensationintheboxmaycauseittomalfunction.Inthiscase,turnoffthebox
andwaitaround1houruntilthecondensationhasevaporated.Thenyoucanuse
itagain.
Non-Use
Ifyouarenotplanningtousethedeviceforalongperiod,youshouldunplugit
fromthepowersocket.
Accessories
Useonlytheaccessoriesincludedwithorrecommendedforthedeviceinorder
tominimizetheriskoffire,electricalshockorinterference.
CAUTION:Broadwaymayonlybeusedwiththepoweradaptorsupplied.

Ifyouneedtochangetheplugforuseinanotherregion,proceedasfollowsto
releasetheplug:
Unplugthepowersupplyunit.
PulltheOpenbuttondownwards.
Thebuttonislocatedonthepowersupplyunit,underneaththepowerplug.
Theplugpopsout.
Nowinserttheappropriateplugasdescribedinthesection“Inserttheplug”.
Dependingontheprovidedpowersupplyunitmodel,itmayberequiredtoclick
onthebuttonlocatedunderneaththepowerpluginordertobeabletoremove
theplug.
