Thank you for purchasing this Haztec product. Before proceeding with installation, it is essential to
read and understand this instruction booklet.
▪This product must be installed by persons competent in vehicle electrical installations
▪Care should be taken to ensure that water ingress cannot occur through mounting or
wiring holes
▪Regularly inspect the product to confirm correct operation
▪DO NOT stare directly into the light it produces as permanent damage to the eyes may
result
▪Use only a mixture of mild soap and water to clean this product
▪DO NOT direct a high-pressure water jets at this product
▪DO NOT allow solvents, fuels or acetone-based cleaners etc. to come into contact with
this product

Wireless Remote Operation:
▪Press the power button to switch the Searchlight on or off. The Searchlight will auto-park
when switched off

▪Press the Fn button to change between slow and fast operation
Wireless Remote Programming:
▪Switch off the DC power or disconnect from battery
▪Ensure there is no other transmitter operating at the same time
▪Switch on the DC power and within 5 seconds press the Remote Up and Down
buttons simultaneously
▪The Searchlight will flash to acknowledge connection with the Remote
▪To program a second Remote (upto 4 Remotes can be used with the same Searchlight.
Programming a 5th will replace the first); Within 5 seconds of programming the first remote,
press the up and down buttons simultaneously on the second Remote or repeat from
step 1

CAUTION! Transit packaging is fitted to this product. Please ensure that it is fully removed before
attempting to operate the device
Installation:
1. Remove the 4 x M4 sockets screws from the
dome lens. Each screw has an ‘O’ ring fitted.
Make sure to keep these safe for future use
2. Carefully remove the dome lens and the
transit packaging from the LED module
3. Ensure that the surface where the Searchlight
is to be mounted is clean and dry. Position
the base seal onto the surface ensuring
that the cable entry hole is positioned
towards the rear of the vehicle

4. Mark the position of the 4 mounting holes
and the cable entry hole, remove the seal
and drill them to accept the M6 x 35mm
socket screws and power cable
5. Ensure there is no swarf and that the holes are deburred. A customer supplied rubber
grommet should be used to prevent cable damage. Position the base seal so that the
mounting holes align
6. Pass the power cable and control loom through the cable entry hole and position the
Searchlight onto the base seal, ensuring that it is seated correctly
7. To access the Searchlight mounting holes; remove the 3 x screws from the main
housing

8. Secure the Searchlight in place using the 4 x M6 x 35mm cap screws and nyloc nuts
N.B. Tighten the cap screws to a maximum torque of 2.75Nm. This value is critical to
prevent ingress. Verify using a calibrated torque wrench
9. Replace the Searchlight housing and secure in place with the 3 x fixing screws –hand
tighten only

10. Re-fit the dome lens ensuring that the seal is seated correctly on the base
11. Secure the lens in place using the 4 x M4 x 16mm socket screws and ‘O’ ring seals
provided
N.B. Tighten the socket screws to a maximum torque of 0.65Nm –this value is critical
to prevent ingress. Verify using a calibrated torque wrench
