Effective coverage:
This user manual only applies to Hexing meter type as mentioned
in the document title.
Objective:
This user manual includes the relevant technical information of
meter. User can consult this document for the use and maintenance
of the meter. The manual includes:
⚫Introduction of meter’s work mechanism, performance and
functions.
⚫Malfunction that may happens during its lifetime and the
corresponding precaution.
⚫Detail description of the meter functioning during its whole
lifetime.
User Object:
⚫This user manual aims at guiding the personnel responsible for
the meter design, testing, operation etc.
⚫This user manual is also dedicated for personnel from the

General introduction
Product overview
Hexing all-in-one smart metering system G3 series devotes to provide high-
level protection against electricity fraud, water, dust, flame, UV and corrosion.
G3 has been working in Latin America countries for more than 8 years and
helps power grid saving money in line loss. Its far-ranging availability fits Wi-
SUN or 3G/4G communication to master station. Compact design of plug-and-
play meter brings easy installation and maintenance. Meanwhile, STS
supported and payment mode can be easily switched in MDC. Abundant
functionalities like load profile, billing and load control meet all kinds of
requirement in management. Charging and query could be easily realized via
CIU for end user. HHU/APP via WIFI provides more convenience for local
maintenance. Briefly speaking, G3 provides integrative solution for smart
electricity measurement.
Main Features
⚫Material of cabinet powder coated galvanized steel, through special
manufacture procedure, electrostatic coating the powder into surface of
galvanized steel. Provides outstanding robustness. It is qualified in 30
days salt spray test for simulating 10 years working on field.

⚫Product has firm structure and high level of protection (can reach
IEC60529-IP54), that make sure the inside metering devices can work
well and securely even under extreme environment.
⚫Illegal door opening will be detected immediately and detection can last
to at least 8 hours even out of power. And an illegal door opening alarm
will be pushed to master station.
⚫Meter cabinet equips 12/18 sets of brand-new plug and play meters and
data collector, the communication between meter unit and data collector
is photoelectric (infrared) to RS485; Plug and play design for meters and
data collector provides more faster installation and uninstallation to
reduce the maintenance cost.
⚫Meter cabinet configured one M63 cable gland(diameter=Φ45) and 12
/18 M25 cable gland (diameter=Φ18);Waterproof connector can be
tighten to protect the inlet/outlet wire and proof water, its material is nylon
and can work under -20℃~80℃.
⚫Meter cabinet bracket assembly with outside the cabinet connections just
a few fixing screws simple and convenient for installation. With mounting
hooks, making the installation conveniently.
⚫Meter cabinet on configure a ventilation on both sides, and dustproof net
welded inside, that achieve good ventilation and thermolysis to ensure
running under high temperature environment.
⚫Meter cabinet with wire tie strap, you can tie the inlet/outlet wire and make
the meter cabinet clean and tidy inside.
⚫Meter cabinet default with handle lock, comfortable to use, and with a
lead seal lock hole to make it more securely.

HXCG3A Cabinet
Metal container for physical protection of meters, collectors, meter
base and so on.
Slight-and-handy design provides convenience for installation and
maintenance.
HXP200 Plug-and-play meter
Responsible for basic measurement of single-phase and two-wire,
single-phase and three-wire circuit.

outline comply ANSI FM2S meter structure standard. Its main
functions include display, communication, alarm indicator, etc.
Equipped a remote controller with keypad to realize token and
short code.

HHU/APP
Local readout and configuration for each meter. It interacts with
data collector by using WIFI communication.
Main circuit breaker
It is optional in case of customer want to cut off power supply
manually inside of the meter cabinet. Here provides three kinds of
specification as 100A ,200A.

The main circuit breaker is mounted in factory before delivery. Meanwhile, three
cables were preinstalled.
