INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANTES DE SECURITE - FRANÇAIS
ATTENTION: L’utilisation de tout appareil électrique doit être soumise aux precautions d’usage incluant:

12. Lors de l’utilsation sur pied ou pole de support, assurez dans le cas de déplacement de l’ensemble enceinte/support de prévenir tout basculement intempestif de celui-ci.
13. Les forces branchent ou le coupleur d'appareils est utilisé pendant que le dispositif de débranchement et restera aisément fonctionnel. L'utilisateur devrait permettre l'accès facile à
toutes les forces prise, à forces coupleur et à commutateur de forces utilisé en même temps que cette unité le rendant de ce fait aisément fonctionnel. Débranchez cet appareil pendant la

17. Note pour les Royaumes-Unis: Si les couleurs de connecteurs du cable d’alimentation ne correspond pas au guide de la prise secteur,
procédez comme suit:
a) Le connecteur vert et jaune doit être connectrer au terminal noté E, indiquant la prise de terre ou correspondantaux couleurs
verte ou verte et jaune du guide.
b) Le connecteur bleu doit être connectrer au terminal noté N, correspondnat à la couleur noire du guide.
c) Le connecteur marron doit être connectrer au terminal noté L, correspondant à la couleur rouge du guide.
18. Cet équipement électrique ne doit en aucun cas être en contact avec un quelconque liquide et aucun objet contenant un liquide, vase
ou autre ne devrait être posé sur celui-ci.
19. Une exposition à de hauts niveaux sonores peut conduire à des dommages de l’écoute irréversibles. La susceptibilité au bruit varie
considérablement d’un individu à l’autre, mais une large majorité de la population expériencera une perte de l’écoute après une exposition à
une forte puissance sonore pour une durée prolongée.
L’organisme de la santé américaine (OSHA) a produit le guide ci-dessous en rapport à la perte occasionnée:
D’après les études menées par le OSHA, toute exposition au delà des limites décrites ce-dessus entrainera des pertes de l’écoute chez la

6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any of the ventilation openings. Install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9.An apparatus with Class I construction shall be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective connection. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug.A
polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other.A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong.The wide blade or third prong is provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories provided by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination
to avoid injury from tip-over.
13.The mains plug or appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device and shall remain readily operable. The user should allow easy access to any mains plug, mains coupler and mains switch
used in conjunction with this unit thus making it readily operable. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as when power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
15. Never break off the ground pin. Connect only to a power supply of the type marked on the unit adjacent to the power supply cord.
16. If this product is to be mounted in an equipment rack, rear support should be provided.
17. Note for UK only: If the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this unit do not correspond with the terminals in your plug‚ proceed
as follows:
a) The wire that is coloured green and yellow must be connected to the terminal that is marked by the letter E‚ the earth symbol‚
coloured green or coloured green and yellow.
b) The wire that is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter N or the colour black.
c) The wire that is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter L or the colour red.
18.This electrical apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and care should be taken not to place objects containing
liquids, such as vases, upon the apparatus.
19. Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause a permanent hearing loss. Individuals vary considerably in susceptibility to noise-
induced hearing loss, but nearly everyone will lose some hearing if exposed to sufficiently intense noise for a sufficient time.
The U.S. Government’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified the following permissible noise level
exposures: According to OSHA, any exposure in excess of the above permissible limits could result in some hearing loss. Earplugs or
protectors to the ear canals or over the ears must be worn when operating this amplification system in order to prevent a permanent
hearing loss, if exposure is in excess of the limits as set forth above.To ensure against potentially dangerous exposure to high sound
pressure levels, it is recommended that all persons exposed to equipment capable of producing high sound pressure levels such as this
amplification system be protected by hearing protectors while this unit is in operation.

CUIDADO: Cuando use productos electrónicos, debe tomar precauciones básicas, incluyendo las siguientes:

After unpacking your amplifier check that it is factory fitted with a three
pin 'grounded' (or earthed) plug. Before plugging into the power supply
ensure you are connecting to a grounded earth outlet.
If you should wish to change the factory fitted plug yourself, ensure that the
wiring convention applicable to the country where the amplifier is to be used is
strictly conformed to. As an example in the United Kingdom the cable colour
code for connections are shown opposite.

features. The PERFORMER mixer is a fantastic building block for your sound, ideal for musicians who need
flexibility as well as for venues and hire companies who need a reliable and dependable mixing tool.
PERFORMER and PERFORMER-FX mixers explained within this manual are easy to use, but incorporate
features which make advanced set-ups easy in any role -
The PERFORMER-FX is the same as the PERFORMER, but with the addition of dual onboard FX processors.

Designed to accept both balanced and unbalanced signals from microphones with an XLR
input connector. Good quality low impedance condenser or dynamic mic's should preferably be
used for best effect, these will ensure the best possible results from hand held vocals or
closely mic'd instruments.
Available and individually switchable for all mono MIC inputs for use with condenser
microphones.
Phantom power must always be switched off when using unbalanced sources since the
voltage present may damage your microphone.
Always connect your condenser microphones and disable the CHANNEL ON before switching
the +48V Phantom Power on.
Used for all balanced / unbalanced line level signals from keyboards, drum machines, tape
machines and DI boxes. (eg; from guitars and basses).
Conveniently placed close to the gain control, the LED and illuminates green to indicate signal

Pre fade/post EQ operation, meaning the Aux levels are set via the Aux Send pot, but not
affected by the channel fader.
Post fade/post EQ operation, meaning the FX levels is set via the FX Send pot and is also
dependant on the Input channel fader.
Assigns (Pans) the channel signal across the left and right master outputs, the signal being

out position) the signal will be sent to the MIX L and R. In stereo mode, will be routed to the

This input will accept line level balanced or unbalanced signals. In stereo mode the signal will
route signal to MIX R. In mono mode, the LINE R is disabled.
This channel can be used as an additional mono input channel, or used as a stereo with the
left signal plugged into Combo XLR and the right signal into the LINE jack socket.
The L and R inputs are intended for the left and right of a stereo signal.
The left and right signal will be taken from the MIC (LINE L) XLR or jack inputs only.
A signal connected to the LINE R won’t be heard.
This is used to remove any unwanted low frequency content with a signal.
3) SIGNAL PRESENT / PEAK LED
As with the mono input, green indicates signal present, which will turn red as an indication of
the onset of distortion.
Switch out = Mono mode.
Adjusts the level of the input signal into the channel. Set the gain to the point where the

USB I/O
Stereo input channel’s 11/12 are equipped with USB I/O. To use this feature,
connect USB audio to the provided socket and press in the Mono / Stereo USB
switch. The signal will be processed and routed to the MIC (left) and LINE (right)
inputs signal paths. Please note that either the USB or LINE input can be used
at any one time.

The SEND outputs are used to route audio out of the console and to and external
FX unit.
Signals returning from the outboard FX unit are fed back into the console via the
RETURN connectors. From here they are internally routed to the MIX L and R
busses.
The SEND and RETURN (Performer-FX only) run in parallel to the internal DSP,
meaning internal DSP and outboard FX can be used at the same time.
Green indicates audio present and red means to much level clipping the internal
DSP or signal chain.
These control the audio level being fed to the FX send outputs. Adjust the controls in
conjunction with (4 - Signal present led’s) to avoid clipping.
A quick and easy way to monitor the FX send bus via the headphones.
Use these to route signals on the FX1 and FX2 busses to the AUX busses.
Mute or enable the FX return audio.
Route the FX Return audio to the
headphones. This signal is not affected by the FX ON or FX faders.
Controls the level of the FX RETURN signal being routed onto the Main Left and
Right busses.
The After fade listen switch (when pressed) sends the FX1 or FX2 signal to the left
hand master bar-graph display and headphones. This allows for the FX send level to
be set and cued. This is non destructive so may be used at any time during the
performance without effecting the main mix output. The AFL status LED will

These control the audio level being fed to the FX send outputs AND the internal fx

The following high quality 24-bit internal digital FX are available to the FX1 and FX2
SEND busses.
Use these controls to select one of the sixteen available effects.
This control allows you to fine tune the selected effect.
The internal FX can be switched remotely through the use of an external foot-switch
(not included). The remote socket is located on the rear of the console.
A dual foot-switch (FS-2) with latching switches is required.
A short between tip and sleeve will DISABLE internal FX1.

This controls the level for the ALT OUT sockets.. The ALT OUT takes its signal
from the MIX OUT, but is not affected by the Master faders.
This switch determines the source of the RECORD OUT. Choose either the MIX
or AUX 1+2.
The master control for the RECORD OUT level. This will adjust the level on the
USB output and RCA sockets.
This provides level control for the tape input. It could be used to add a backing
track to the main mix, or music between acts.
Set the headphones to a safe and comfortable level using this control.
Fine tune the MAIN OUT signal using the included 9 band stereo EQ.
Allows you to apply EQ to the MIX L and R signals. With the switch pressed in,
the EQ will be active and the status LED illuminated.
Enable or disable the AUX feeds.
Route the signal on the AUX1 or AUX2 bus to the headphones. This solo is AFL
(after-fader listen) and post mute, so its level will be affected by 10 and 12.
Use to control the level of the aux outputs.
2) MIX / AUX
With the switch pressed in, the filter will be active and the status LED
illuminated. Sweep the frequency to target the unwanted audio content within the
AUX1 and AUX2 signals.

The main AUX OUTPUTS. These can be used as an additional FX send.
Sourced from the MASTER LEFT and RIGHT busses, pre-fader. These signals could feed a PA, sent to an additional
console, or a control room.
The MAIN L and R are summed together to produce a MONO OUT, with it’s level controlled by the MAIN L and R
faders. Ideal for use with a mono PA system / sub.
The MASTER LEFT and RIGHT outputs. Use these to feed a stereo PA system.
This gives you the option of an additional FX loop on the MAIN OUT’s. A Y-split lead (see page 15) will be required to
access the send and return.
Use this connector to power anything USB. A desk lamp, or phone for example.

By default, these meters monitor the MAIN LEFT and RIGHT signals.
If either PFL or AFL is enabled anywhere on the console, the signal level will be
displayed on the left meter, with the sum of MAIN LEFT and RIGHT visible on the
right meter.

Switching on your mixer.
1) Setting The Channel
The power socket and mains switch is located on the rear of the console.
Set the Master Faders to minimum.
Connect your input signal to a chosen channel.
Set input selector for line/mic using the -20dB on Mono channels or mono/stereo for Stereo channels.
Enable PFL on the input channel. (See note 3 for more information about Soloing).
Increase the channel gain control and look for master left) meter.
Slowly increase the MASTER FADERS.
Adjust the EQ controls on the channel to obtain your required sound.
Now repeat for the remaining inputs.
Remember to disable the channel solo and turn each channel off when you have finished.

the left master meter and appears on the headphones.
PFL means ‘Pre-Fade-Listen’. The solo signal is sourced before a fader or pot.

Reduce the channel faders to minimum and switch all the channels 'ON' that you are going to use.
Increase the first channel fader to between -10dB and 0dB.
Increase the master faders to a give a comfortable volume.
As channels are added to the mix you may wish to adjust the position in the stereo image. This is done using the
channel pan pot.
The level of each instruments/vocal in the mix is fine tuned using the channel faders.
During the performance you will probably have to adjust levels and EQ to compensate for changes in venue
acoustics as the more people arrive. The overall mix is EQ’d using the Master Graphic equaliser:
As a general rule, avoid big variations in the position of adjacent faders.
For recording you mix, the USB I/O (located on Input 11/12) and TAPE OUT are available. Level is set via the REC
OUT level pot.
Two FX sends are provided for your use. The Performer-FX can utilise its onboard FX, additional outboard FX or a
combination of the two. Both sends are post fade so the relationship between the clean signal and effected signal
remains constant whatever the position of the channel fader.
As a general guide the halls, rooms and plates are good for vocals, but most instruments will also benefit from this
effect.
