Safety Instruction
These instructions are intended to ensure that user can use the product correctly to
avoid danger or property loss.
The precaution measure is divided into Warnings and Cautions:
Warnings: Neglecting any of the warnings may cause serious injury or death.
Cautions: Neglecting any of the cautions may cause injury or device damage.
Warnings
In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety
regulations of the nation and region.
Refer to technical specifications for detailed information.
Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited
Power Source with 24 VAC or 12 VDC according to the IEC60950-1 standard. Refer to
technical specifications for detailed information.
Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause
over-heating or a fire hazard.
Make sure that the plug is firmly connected to the power socket.
Make sure that the power has been disconnected before you wire, install or dismantle
the speed dome.
When the product is mounted on wall or ceiling, the device shall be firmly fixed.
If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once and unplug
the power cable, and then contact the service center.
If the product does not work properly, contact your dealer or the nearest service
center. Never attempt to disassemble the speed dome yourself. (We shall not assume
any responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.)
Cautions
If the camera fails to synchronize local time with that of the network, you need to set
up camera time manually. Visit the camera (via web browser or client software) and
enter system settings interface for time settings.
Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the speed dome.

Do not drop the dome or subject it to physical shock, and do not expose it to high
electromagnetism radiation. Avoid installation on vibrations surface or places subject
to shock (ignorance can cause equipment damage).
Do not touch senor modules with fingers. If cleaning is necessary, use clean cloth with
a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the speed dome will not be used for an extended
period, replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
Do not aim the speed dome at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smearing
may occur otherwise (which is not a malfunction), and affect the endurance of sensor
at the same time.
The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in
using, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam.
Do not place the speed dome in extremely hot, cold, dusty or damp locations, and do
not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.
To avoid heat accumulation, good ventilation is required for operating environment.
Keep the speed dome away from liquid while in use.
While in delivery, the speed dome shall be packed in its original packing, or packing of
the same texture.
Improper use or replacement of the battery may result in hazard of explosion.
Replace with the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used batteries according to
the instructions provided by the battery manufacturer.

1Overview
1.1 Cables
The cable interfaces of the speed dome are shown in Figure 1-1. The cables are
distinguished by different colors. Refer to the labels attached on the cables for
identification.

Notes:
The cables vary depending on different speed dome models.
Make sure the speed dome is power-off before you connect the cables.
Water-proof treatment is required for cable connectors. Refer to Section 2.5 and 2.6
for details.
1.2 Memory Card
1.2.1 Type I Speed Dome
The memory card slot is in the speed dome drive as shown in Figure 1-2.

2Installation
Before you start:
Check the package contents and make sure that the device in the package is in good
condition and all the assembly parts are included.
Notes:
Do not touch the bubble directly by hand. The image blurs otherwise.
Do not power the speed dome up until the installation is finished. To ensure the
safety of personnel and equipment, all the installation steps should be done with
power supply off.
Do not drag the speed dome with its waterproof cables as shown in Figure 2-1;
otherwise the waterproof performance is affected.

For the speed dome that supports IR, you are required to pay attention to the following
precautions to prevent IR reflection:
Dust or grease on the bubble will cause IR reflection. Do not remove the protective
film until the installation is finished. If there is dust or grease on the bubble, clean
the bubble with clean soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
Make sure that there is no reflective surface too close to the lens. The IR light from
the speed dome may reflect back into the lens causing reflection.

Wall Mounting
The network speed dome supports different mounting methods, including wall
mounting, column mounting, corner mounting, pedant mounting, etc. We will take wall
mounting as an example in this Manual.
Notes:
For cement wall, you need to use the expansion screw to fix the bracket.
For wooden wall, you can just use the self-tapping screw to fix the bracket.
Make sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand more than eight times the
weight of the speed dome and the accessories.
The bracket in Figure 2-2 is the recommended bracket for this series of speed dome,
and a pendent adapter is required if any other bracket is selected. The dimension of
pendant adapter is G11
2.
2.1 Installing Type I Speed Dome
Steps:
1. Install the bracket.
1) Drill four Φ12 holes for expansion screws in the wall according to the holes of
the bracket, and then insert four M8 expansion screws into the mounting holes.
2) Route the cables from the bracket body, and hook the bracket to the wall by
aligning the four screw holes of the bracket with expansion screws on the wall.
3) Secure the bracket with four hex nuts and washers.

2. Install the memory card.
1) Loosen the two lock screws on both sides of the speed dome.
2) Pull the bubble carefully to separate it from the back box, and remove the
protective material EPE as shown in Figure 2-3.
Do not remove the lock screws from the speed dome.

3) Install the memory card (optional). Insert the memory card to the memory card
slot.
Note:
The memory card can be installed in factory if you need.
4) Reinstall the bubble and tighten the lock screws.
3. Install the speed dome to the bracket.
1) Hang the safety rope to the speed dome and the hook on the bracket.
2) Route the cables of the speed dome through the bracket body, and connect the
corresponding cables.
Note:
Water-proof treatment is required for cable connectors. Refer to Section 2.5 and
2.6 for details.
3) Loosen the two lock screws on the bracket.
4) Align the speed dome with the bracket as shown in Figure 2-4, and rotate the
speed dome clockwise tightly.

5) Secure the two lock screws with the wrench as shown in Figure 2-5.

2.2 Installing Type II Speed Dome
Note:
Installation for Type II Speed Dome is similar to installation for Type I Speed Dome. Refer
to section 2.1 Installing Type I Speed Dome.
2.3 Installing Type III Speed Dome
Steps:
1. Install the bracket.
Note:
Refer to step 1 in section 2.1 Installing Type I Speed Dome for installing the wall
mounting bracket.
2. Install the memory card.
1) Remove the protective sticker on the bubble.

2) Install the memory card (optional). Unscrew the two screws on the back of the
speed dome and remove the protective cover. Insert the memory card into the
memory card slot.
Note:
The memory card can be installed in factory if you need.

3) Reinstall the protective cover back and tighten the screws.
3. Install the speed dome to the bracket.

Refer to step 3 in section 2.1 Installing Type I Speed Dome for installing the speed
dome.

2.4 Installing Type IV Speed Dome
Steps:
1. Install the bracket.
Note:
Refer to step 1 in section 2.1 Installing Type I Speed Dome for installing the wall
mounting bracket.
2. Install the memory card.
1) Remove the protective sticker on the bubble.

2) Unscrew and disassemble the rear cover of the speed dome, and insert the
memory card into the slot on camera module.

3. Install the speed dome to the bracket.

1) Align the head cover with the bracket, and rotate the head cover clockwise or
anticlockwise, then secure the two lock screws with the wrench as shown in
Figure 2-12.

2) Hang the safety rope to the speed dome and the hook on the bracket.
3) Hitch the speed dome onto the head cover with the hook on the back box.
4) Route the cables through the head cover and the bracket body, and connect the
corresponding cables.
Notes:
Water-proof treatment is required for cable connectors. Refer to Section 2.5
and 2.6 for details.
After cable connection, put the cables into the head cover.

5) Align the back box of the speed dome with the head cover.
6) Tighten the lock screws to secure the speed dome with the wrench.

2.5 Installation of Network Cable Waterproof Jacket
Purpose:
If the camera is installed outdoor, you should use the waterproof accessory or tapes to
waterproof the cables. Otherwise the cables might get wet, causing short circuit.

Steps:
1.Feed the network cable through ①and ③ in order.
2.Fix ② on the network cable between ①and ③.
3.Place ⑤onto the end of ⑥, and plug the RJ45 male connector into RJ45 female
connector.
4.Screw ③to ⑥clockwise.
5.Push ②into ③.

6.Secure ①with the ③in clockwise direction.
2.6 Installation of Water-proof Tape
Purpose:
If the camera is installed outdoor, you can use supplied water-proof tape to protect
cable connectors and unused cables after the camera is secured on the installation
surface.
Steps:
1. Tear off the yellow release paper on the back of the water-proof tape.
2. Stretch the water-proof tape to reach twice the initial length.

3. Wrap the water-proof tape around the cable connector tightly as the figure below.

Note:
Make sure that all naked wires are all firmly wrapped in the water-proof tape.
