•Do not try to light any appliance.
•Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any
phone in your building.
•Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's
phone. Follow the gas supplier's instructions.
•If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire
department. Installation and service must be
performed by a qualified installer, service agency or
the gas supplier.

can cause low level exposure to some of these
substances, including carbon monoxide, benzene,
formaldehyde and soot, caused primarily by incomplete
combustion of natural gas or propane fuels. Exposure
to these substances can be minimized by opening a
window or using a ventilation fan or hood.

Tip-Over Hazard

•Install the anti-tip bracket to the wall
or floor.
•Engage the range to the anti-tip
bracket by sliding the range back
such that the foot is engaged.
•Re-engage the anti-tip bracket if the
range is moved.
•Failure to do so can result in death
or serious burns to children or
adults.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Keep these safety precautions, so they are available for review
by your local inspector.
Make sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded
by a qualified technician.
Never use the appliance for room heating.
Do not leave children unsupervised. Children should never be
left alone or unsupervised in the appliance's area. Never allow
children to sit or stand on any part of the appliance.
Wear suitable clothing. When using the appliance, do not wear
loose clothing or clothing with hanging parts.
Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of the appliance,
unless this is specifically recommended in the manual. A trained
service technician shall carry out all other servicing or repairs.
Do not store any flammable materials or substances in the oven
or near the cooking zones or burners of the appliance.
Do not use water to extinguish a grease fire. Smother the fire
or flame, or use a dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher.
Use only dry pot holders. Moist or damp pot holders on hot
surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let the pot
holders touch hot heating elements. Do not use a towel or other
bulky cloth in place of a pot holder.
During use of the appliance some condensation could appear
on the control panel. This will not affect functioning of the
appliance.

STORING ITEMS IN OR ON THE APPLIANCE:
Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above the
cooking range or on the back guard of the cooking range.
Children climbing onto the range to reach items could be
seriously injured.
Do not store any flammable materials or substances in the oven
or near the cooking zones or burners of the appliance.
Do not leave paper products, plastics, canned food, or
combustible materials in the drawer. They may ignite.
Do not touch the heating element or the interior surface of the
drawer. These surfaces may be hot enough to cause burns.
Use care when opening the drawer. Open the drawer a crack
and let hot air or steam escape before removing or replacing
food. Hot air or steam that escapes can cause burns to hands,
face or eyes.
Do not use aluminum foil to line the gap. Foil is an excellent
heat insulator and will trap heat beneath it. This will upset the
performance of the drawer and potentially cause a fire hazard.

COOKTOP SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Use proper pan size and avoid pans that are unstable or easily
tipped. Select cookware that is matched to the size of the
burner. Burner flames should be adjusted so that they do not
extend beyond the bottom of the pan. Excessive flame may be
hazardous.
Never leave the surface burners unattended. Foods, especially
oily foods, may ignite resulting in a fire that could spread to
surrounding cabinets.
Never leave oil unattended while frying. If allowed to heat
beyond its smoking point, the oil may ignite, resulting in a fire
that may spread to surrounding cabinets. Use a deep-fat
thermometer whenever possible to monitor oil temperature.
To avoid oil spillover and fire, use the minimum amount of oil
when using a shallow pan-frying and avoid cooking frozen
foods with excessive amounts of ice.
When igniting the top burners, always use the Ignite position
and make sure the burners have ignited. Do not soak removable
heaters or burners.
Never immerse the heating elements or burners in water.
When using glassceramic cookware, make sure it is suitable
for cooktop service; others may break because of a sudden
change in temperature.
To minimize the possibillity of burns, ignition of flammable
materials and spillage, the handle of a container should be
turned toward the center of the range without extending over
nearby burners.

Do not use a wok with a round metal support ring. The ring
may trap heat and block air to the burner resulting in a carbon
monoxide hazard.
Do not attempt to lift the cooktop. Doing so m ay damage the
gas tubing to the surface burners resulting in a gas leak and
risk of fire.
Do not use aluminum foil to cover the grates or line any part of
the cooktop. Doing so may result in carbon monoxide
poisoning, overheating of the cooktop surfaces, or a potential
fire hazard.

OVEN SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING!
NEVER cover any slots, holes or passages in the oven
bottom or cover an entire rack with materials such as
aluminum foil or ovenliners. Doing so blocks air flow
through the oven and may cause carbon monoxide
poisoning. Never place foil or oven liners on the oven.
Be careful when opening the oven door. Let the hot air or steam
escape before removing or replacing food.
Do not heat unopened food containers. The pressure build-up
may cause the container to burst, resulting in injury.
Always place oven racks in the desired location while the oven
is cool. If you have to move a rack while the oven is hot, do not
let the pot holder come into contact with any hot heating
element in the oven.
Never place cooking utensils, pizza or baking stones, or any
type of foil or liner on the oven floor. These items can trap heat
or melt, resulting in damage to the product and risk of shock,
smoke or fire.
Do not leave items on the cooktop near the oven vent. Items
may overheat resulting in a risk of fire or burns.
Never broil with the door open. Open-door broiling is not
permitted due to overheating of control knobs.
The care to be taken to prevent aluminum foil and meat probes
from contacting the heating elements (including sheathed type
surface elements).

SELF-CLEANING OVEN SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
CAUTION: DO NOT LEAVE FOOD OR COOKING UTENSILS,
ETC., IN THE OVEN DURING THE SELF-CLEANING MODE OF
OPERATION
Do not clean the door gasket. The door gasket is essential for
a good seal. Care should be taken not to rub, damage, or move
the gasket.
Do not touch oven door surfaces during self-clean operation.
Keep children away from the oven during self-cleaning. Failure
to follow these instructions may cause burns.
Before operating the self-clean cycle, remove pans, shiny metal
oven shelves and other utensils from the oven.
Before operating the self-clean cycle, wipe grease and food
soils from the oven. An excessive amount of grease may ignite
causing a fire hazard and smoke damage.
Do not use oven cleaners. No commercial oven cleaner or oven
liner protective coating of any kind should be used in or around
any part of the oven.
Only clean the parts specified in the manual.
IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremely sensitive
to the fumes given off during the self-cleaning cycle of any
range. Move birds to another well-ventilated room.
Be careful when handling hot grease container and disposing
hot grease.

WARNING!
NEVER use this appliance as a space heater to heat or
warm the room. Doing so may result in carbon
monoxide poisoning and overheating of the oven.
Removing the packaging before first use
Before using the appliance for the first time, remove all
protective film. Carefully hold the corner of the protective film
and slowly pull it from the appliance. Do not use any sharp
objects to remove the protective film. The easiest way to
remove any residual glue is to use mild dish detergent and a
soft cloth.
•Remove oven accessories and any packaging (cardboard,
polystyrene foam) from the oven.
•Wipe the oven accessories and interior with a damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive or aggressive clothes or cleaners.
•Heat an empty oven for approximately one hour.
•The characteristic "New oven scent" will be released;
therefore, ventilate the room thoroughly during this process.

Residual glue should be removed from all parts.

Remove all packaging. When removing the packaging, make
sure not to damage the appliance with a sharp object.

Gas cooking surface
Aluminum: affords excellent heat conductivity. Aluminum cookware ensures efficient cooking. It is
durable and easy to clean, but some types of food may cause it to discolor and turn darker.
Stainless Steel: slowly conducts heat. Stainless steel cookware cooks the food unevenly, but it is
durable, stain-resistant, and easy to clean.

Cast-Iron: its heat conductivity is poor, but it retains heat very well. Cast iron cookware should be
heated up slowly, and it will mostly yield satisfactory cooking results.
Enamelware: can be damaged under certain conditions. Enamel on some cookware could melt.
Glass: conducts heat very slowly. Only use glass cookware intended for use on the cooktop or in an
oven.
Heat-resistant glass-ceramic: conducts heat very slowly and cools down very slowly. It is used for
cooking on a cooktop or in the oven. Check the cookware manufacturer’s instructions to make sure
it may be used on gas appliances.
Safety tips for cooking
•Use quality cookware with a flat and stable bottom.
•When using special cookware, observe the cookware manufacturer's
instructions.
•Make sure the pots and pans are placed in the middle of the cooking
zone.
•Pan bottom diameter should be equal to the burner diameter.
•Do not place wet cookware in the cooking zone.
Using a Wok
•Use only a flat-bottomed wok with a diameter of 14 inches or less.
Make sure the wok bottom fits well on the grate.
•Do not use a wok support ring. Placing a ring on the cooktop may
cause the burner to operate incorrectly, which in turn can result in
levels of carbon monoxide in excess of permitted standards. This
can be harmful to your health.
INFORMATION!
Do not use an after-market stove top grill on your gas surface burners. A stove top grill will cause
incomplete combustion resulting in carbon monoxide levels exceeding permitted standards.

Griddle
(depending on the model)
WARNING!
•Never place any items on the griddle when is it not in use.
Heat from surrounding burners can heat the griddle and
may result in fire.
•Place and remove the griddle only when griddle is cool
and all surface burners are turned off.
•Use oven gloves when placing or removing the griddle.
•During use the griddle becomes very hot.
•Do not cook excessively greasy foods. The grease may
spill over.
Using your reversible cast-iron griddle
Non-integrated reversible (double-sided) griddle affords a larger cooking surface for preparing food
you would normally cook in a frying pan or a skillet. The ribbed side of the reversible griddle can be
used for food normally grilled, such as meats or vegetables. The smooth side of your griddle provides
an extra-large cooking surface for food usually prepared in a skillet or frying pan. Before first use,
rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly. Prepare the surface with cooking spray or vegetable shortening.
Griddle precautions:
•Do not place the griddle in a microwave oven.
•Do not clean the griddle in a dishwasher.
•Do not allow grease to accumulate under the griddle as it can be a fire hazard. Clean under the
griddle with hot, soapy water as soon as it is cool.
•Do not use oil on the griddle for extended lengths of time. Permanent staining and craze lines on
the surface could result.
•Do not overheat the griddle. Leaving the griddle burner on at HI for an extended time without food
can damage the nonstick coating.
•Use only plastic, nylon, wooden utensils, or SilverStone® kitchen utensils to prevent the marring
of the coating.
•Never use knives and do not cut the food on the griddle.
•Do not use metal utensils with sharp points or rough, sharp edges which might damage the griddle
surface.
•Store carefully to prevent scratching.
•If something has spilled under the griddle, it should be cleaned up as soon as possible to prevent
“Baked On”food soil.
•Do not clean the griddle in the self-cleaning oven. Doing so will damage the nonstick coating.
Instructions for cleaning the griddle are available in the chapter Cleaning and Maintenance.
•We recommend cleaning the griddle after each use. Use soft sponge and warm water.
•Use the storage drawer for storing griddle. Keep it in a dedicated place in the drawer.
•Store the griddle carefully to prevent damaging it.

Preparing your griddle
Before first use we reccomend that you season your griddle:
•Hand Wash in warm soapy Water.
•Dry it very well.
•Put 2 Tablespoons of Vegetable oil (Sunflower) on your paper towel and rub it all over your griddle.
Do the same for the other side and don’t forget the handle.
•Place it upside down on rack 4 in the center of the oven and I put a cookie sheet on the lower
rack to catch the drippings.
•Bake on 465 °F for 1 hour turn off your oven and leave it in the oven for another hour to cool. You
can leave it longer if you want. Then remove your griddle from the oven and wipe it down with a
towel. You are ready to grill
Positioning your griddle
The reversible cast iron griddle can only be used over the center burners
of the rangetop. Make sure the grid is correctly placed before you turn
on the burner.
Preheating your griddle
Preheat the griddle for a maximum of 4 minutes on HI before placing food onto it. Once the griddle
is preheated, turn the heat down to the cook setting outlined on the table corresponding to your
griddle.

Operating the cooktop
WARNING!
DANGER OF FIRE: Never leave the area in which the cooktop is used unsupervised.
Always supervise the cooking process. Do not store any items on the cooktop surface.
Failure to observe these instructions could lead to fire, severe injuries, or death.
INFORMATION!
Before using the cooktop, clean the surface, burners and griddles, using a damp cloth and some
mild dish detergent. During initial use, a characteristic "New appliance smell" may appear; it will
gradually disappear.
Do not use aggressive cleaners, such as abrasive cleaners that could cause scratches, abrasive
dishwashing sponges, or stain removers.
Switching on the cooking zone
WARNING!
Make sure all burners are in their correct locations and fully assembled before attempting
to operate any burner.
Switch on the cooking zones using the knobs on the control panel. Select
a burner and find its control knob. Push the knob in and turn it to the
Ignite position.
You will hear a click, the sound of the electric spark igniting the burner.
When one burner is turned to the Ignite, all burners will spark. Sparking
will continue as long as the knob remains at Ignite. Once the gas is
ignited, turn the knob to adjust the flame size.
Adjusting the flame size
•Keep an eye on the flame while adjusting the temperature. When
rapid heating is desired, the flame size should match the size of the
cookware you are using.
•Flames larger than the bottom of the cookware will not heat faster
and may be hazardous.
WARNING!
Burners should be operated only when covered by cookware. Burner flames not covered
by cookware present a risk of fire or clothing ignition. Never let flames extend beyond
the sides of the cookware. Failure to comply may result in serious injury.

Surface Burners
WARNING!
Do not operate the burner for an extended period of time without cookware on the grate.
The finish on the grate may discolor or chip without cookware to absorb the heat. Do
not attempt to disassemble any burner while another burner is on. Damage to the product
may occur. Be sure the burners and grates are cool before you place your hand, a pot
holder or cleaning materials on them.
Your rangetop has sealed gas burners that offer convenience, cleanability and flexibility for a wide
range of cooking applications. The smallest burner is the auxiliary burner.
An auxiliary burner turned down to LO provides precise cooking performance for foods, such as
delicate sauces that require low heat for a long cooking time.
•Use this burner for general cooking purposes.
