SOME DOS AND DON'TS ON THE SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards but, like any electrical
equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured.

DON’T touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.
DON'T remove any fixed cover as this may expose dangerous voltages.
DON’T immerse cord, plugs, or the body of the appliance in water or other liquid.
DON'T use if there is any damage to the appliance, cord, or plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified person to avoid a hazard.
DO unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
DON’T use outdoors.
DON’T leave the appliance unattended when in use.
DON’T let the cord hang over edge of table or hot surface or come into contact with any part of the grill that generates
heat when in use.
NEVER allow children to use the appliance. Supervise young children to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
DO ensure that there is adequate ventilation where the appliance is used.
DON’T place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
DO use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

DO beware of steam emitted between the grill plates during cooking. Use oven gloves or pot holders.
Do not operate the appliance for other than its intended use.

NEVER let anyone especially children push anything into holes, slots or any other opening in the case - this could result
in a fatal electrical shock;
NEVER guess or take chances with electrical equipment of any kind – it is better to be safe than sorry!
PLASTICIZER WARNING
The surface of the appliance can become very hot during operation. This can cause blemishes, discoloring or stains on
the table top. It is recommended to place non-plastic pads between the appliance and table top.
Note: As the temperature cycles on and off, the heating plates will expand and make a noise. This is perfectly normal for
this product.

Before first use
Unpack the unit and place it on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface. Wipe the outer casing and cooking plates with a
clean damp cloth.
Note: Some odor may be smelled during initial preheating; this is normal and will cease with further use.
How to use your Health Grill
1. Press the rear section of the latch to unlock the cooking plates. Lift the handle to open the lid.
2. Check the cooking plates are clean. Wipe with a damp cloth if necessary.
3. Brush a little cooking oil onto the cooking plates to help protect the non-stick surface
4. Connect the plug to the mains supply. The red power indicator will light.
5. After approximately 4 minutes, the correct temperature will be reached and the blue ready indicator will light.
6. Carefully lift the handle to open the lid using oven gloves or pot holders. Place the food onto the bottom cooking plate
using heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils. Never use metal utensils as they may damage the non-stick coating.
7. Carefully close the lid. Do not apply any pressure.
Caution: Steam may be released between the cooking plates. Take care to prevent your hands from coming into
contact with the steam.
8. Grilling time depends on the food being grilled and your personal preference. As an example, medium pork chops
require approximately 12 min. grilling time.
9. When cooking is finished, carefully open the lid using oven gloves or pot holders. Remove the food using
heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils.
10. Close the lid to preserve the heat. When you have finished cooking, unplug the grill and allow it to cool down.

Cooking Tips
•Cooking time depends on the type, thickness and amount of food.
•Always make sure food is thoroughly cooked through before consuming.
•Do not cook frozen food and do not attempt to defrost food in the grill. All food must be completely defrosted before
cooking.
•Always oil the bottom plate when cooking fish.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1. Unplug the appliance and wait for it completely cool down before cleaning.
2. Use the scraper provided to remove food particles. Use a paper towel moistened with a little cooking oil to remove
stubborn stains.
3. Wipe all surfaces with a clean, damp cloth.
WARNING: Never immerse the appliance in water.
4. Before storing the grill, lock the cooking plates by pressing the front section of the latch.
