1. Since many parts in the unit have special safety related characteristics, always use genuine Hitachi's replacement
parts. Especially critical parts in the power circuit block should not be replaced with other makers.
Critical parts are marked with A in the schematic diagram and circuit board diagram.
2. Before returning a repaired unit to the customer, the service technician must thoroughly test the unit to ascertain that
iî is completely safe to operate without danger of electrical shock.

uniquement des pièces de rechange d'origine Hitachi pour effectuer un remplacement. Ceci se rapporte notamment
aux pièces critiques du bloc d'alimentatiòn qui ne doivent en aucun cas ètre remplacées par celles d'autres fabri-
cants. Les pièces critiques sont accompagnées du symbole A dans le schéma de montage et sur le schéma de pla-
que de càblage.
2. Àvant de retòurner I'appareil réparé au client, le technicien doit procéder à un essai complet pour s'assurer qu'il ne
présente aucun danger de chocs électriques.

1. The audio frequency spectrum is divided into
9 bands in steps of 1 octave with 1 kHz as
the basic central frequency.
2. Large dynamic range semiconductor inductors
are used in the resonance circuits.
3. Built-in electronic echo circuit
4. Convenient equalizer selector switches
5. Two microphone inputs. Microphone mixing
recording possible.
6. Mixing balance adjustment provides conti-
nuous variation of mixing ratio.

a BBD Output Clock Canceller Adjustment
Set the range of the A.C. voltmeter to 1OO mV (Max), Connect to
point A, and set Time/cm on the oscilloscope to 0.5 msec. Ob-
serve the waveform on the oscilloscope, and adjust R585 such
that the BBD output clock elements are eliminated (adjust to
give the central waveform in Fig 2)
O BBD-Einstellung des Ausgangsuhrunterbrechers
Das Wechselstrom-Voltmeter auf 1OO mV (max) stellen, an
Punkt A anschlieBen und Zeitlcm auf dem Oszilloskop auf 0,5
mSek. stellen. Die Wellenform auf dem Oszilloskop beobachten
und den R585 so justieren, daB daB die BBD-Ausgangs-
uhrelemente eliminiert werden (so einstellen, daB die in Abb. 2
gezeigte Mittenwellenfrom entsteht)
O Réglage d'annulation horaire de soÉie BBD
Régler la gamme du voltmètre de courant secteur à 1OO mV
(maximum), raccorder en A et régler le temps/cm sur l'oscillos-
cope à 0,5 msec. Tout en observant la forme de l'onde sur I'os-
cilloscope, ajuster R5B5 de sorte que les caractéristiques hor-
aires de la sortie BBD soient annulées (ajuster de manière à ob-
tenir une onde centrale du type de celle de la Fig. 2).

from the supply circuit before returning the instru-
ment repaired to the customer.

- Power switch is set lo ON -
Next, measure the resistance value between the
both poles of attachement cup (Power supply
plug) and the input terminal (outside) of rear
plate and check that the resistance value is 500
