STEP l! PREPARE YOUR OWN STAIIDARD 4CH RECEIVER AllD TRA]{SilITTER
n 1. Connec{ the elevator wire , rudder wire and speed controller wire with the 4CH receiver. Notice the corec{ position.
n 2. lnstall the transmitter battery conectly, be careful to make sure that the polarity is conec{.
STEP 2: CHARGII{G THE 7.4V 2sOmAh Li-lon PAGK
HK-ATOM mini glider is supplied with a 7.4V 2s0mN't 15C Li-lon. lt is suggested that use the balance charger with maximum
800mA cunent to re-chaEe this Li-lon pack.
CAUTIOT:
1. Never leave th€ battery unattended during the charging prccess. Always keep this charger out of rcacfi of cfiildren.
2. Stop charging immediately if any abnormality occurs, such as power indicabr is ofi, the temperature of te battery raise
rapidly.

STEP /* TEST THE THROTTLE
IMPORTANT: Safety protection is efiective after you tum on transmitter and plug in Li-lon battery witr ESC, this time when you
move throtfle con$ol stick forwad, the motor won't react. Remember to move the throttle control stick forwad
till the end, and then move thrctfle control stick bacl$ard tillthe end, this time, the motor is arned, then you
can start the belowing bsting.
tl 1. Move the throttle control stick forward slowly, the motor
rotates faster gradually.
NOTE: lf the motor doesn't react with
the throttle increasing, please check the power supply or the
battery capacity.
WARNING: Keep everything clear of the propeller once the
battery is plugged in. Do not try to stop the propeller by hand
or anything else.
STEP 5: TEST THE RUDDER
n 1. Move the rudder contol stick to the left, the rudder fums to the lefi.
n 2. Move the rudder control stick to the right, the rudder tums to the right.
NOTE: lf the movement of rudder works in opposite position, please check the rudder reverse switch and make necessary
adjustnent.
! 3. Move the rudder control stick to its neutral position, the rudder retums to ib neutral position.
NOTE: lf rudder doesnt retum to neutral position, then adjust the rudder trim button to make it in neutral position
STEP 6: TEST THE ELEVATOR
! 1. Move the elevator control stick bacl<ward , the elevator will be up
Z 2. Move the elevator control stick fonryard, the etevatorwill be down.
NOTE: lf the movement of elevator works in opposite position, please check the elevator reverse switch and make
necessary adjustment.
I 3.Move the elevator control stick to its neutral position, the elevator returns to its neutral position.

Ghoore a good flylng slte and day
1. The ideal location for flying has wideopen space in bur directions with no people
2. Choose location carcfully! Do not operat€ model near these areas: Houses or buildings, children's play areas, road trafic,
railways, airporb, overhead po^rerlines.
3. Fly in calm weather conditions with no winds or gentle winds.
PrFfllght check
1. Check the propeller and all screws are securely fastened.
2. Check airplane responds properly to control signals.
3. Test the range of the radio signal. lt is recommanded that have around 100 M range check.
Take off
1. Apply tull throtfle on tansimitter while facing into the wind, hold the airplane horizontally and launch with a pushing motion.
)
Adiusting trims during flight
\
1. Let go of control sticks. lf airplane moves left, adjust rudder trim on transimitter to the right.
2. Let go of control sticks. lf airplane moves upwards, adjust elevator trim on transimitter to upwards.
3. Adjust elevator and rudder trims so airplane flies straight and horizontal when stlcks are free

Valuable experlence
When your airplane is moving away from you, moving the rudder stick to the left, combined with a small amount of up elevator
(moving the elevabr stick down), will make your plane tum to the left. Moving the rudder stjck to th€ right with a small amount
of up elevabr will make the airplane fum to the right. To stop the tum, mov€ the rudder stick the opposite dircction until the
airplane is flying level and return the elevator stick to center.
Landing
1 . For your first couple of flights we recommend that you attempt to land with reserve battery power.
2. During your firct flight, while at a high altifude, tum the motor off and notice how the HK-ATOM reacts. This will give you an
idea of how the airplane will react during a landing. At this higher atltitude, familiarize yourself with how the model responds
at low power and slower speeds as this is how the model will fly when landing.
3. To land the HK-ATOM, fly down wind, past the landing area. Gently tum into the wind and reduce the throttle so that the
airplane shft b come dovn. Adjust the throtte as needed b rcach the landing area, but not fly past it. Always land inb the wind.
4. Just before landing, at about 0.5 meter above the grcund, apply a little up elevator, This will causo the airplane to dow and
setue to the ground.
After Landing
Disconnect the battery, then, switch the tEnsmitter off. Remove the battery ftom the fuselage, Check the airplane over to
make sure nothing has come loose or may be damaged.
