General Safety Information
Precautions
• This manual contains important information about the assembly, operation and maintenance of this patio
heater. General safety information is presented in these rst few pages and is also located throughout the
manual.
• Keep this manual for future reference and to educate new users of this product. This manual should be read
in conjunction with the labeling on the product.
• Safety precautions are essential when any mechanical or propane fueled equipment is involved. These
precautions are necessary when using, storing, and servicing. Using this equipment with the respect and
caution demanded will reduce the possibilities of personal injury or property damage.
• Always heed these precautions, as they are essential when using any mechanical or fueled equipment.
EXPLOSION- FIRE HAZARD
• Keep solid combustibles, such as building
materials, paper or cardboard, a safe distance
away from the heater as recommended by the
instructions.
• Provide adequate clearances around air
openings into the combustion chamber.
• Never use the heater in spaces which do or
may contain volatile or airborne combustibles,
or products such as gasoline, solvents, paint
thinner, dust particles or unknown chemicals.
• During operation, this product can be a source
of ignition . Keep heater area clear and free from
combustible materials, gasoline, paint thinner,
cleaning solvents and other ammable vapors
and liquids. Do not use heater in areas with high
dust content. Minimum heater clearances from
combustible materials: two (2) feet from the
sides & three (3) feet from the top.
CAUTION: SERVICE SAFETY
• Keep all connections and ttings clean. Make
sure propane cylinder valve outlet is clean.
• Inspect hose before use. Replace if there is
evidence of abrasion or wear.
• During set up, check all connections and ttings
for leaks using soapy water. Never use a ame.
• Use as a heating appliance only. Never alter in
any way or use with any device.
• Check entire hose at least annually.
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
• This heater is a combustion appliance. All
combustion appliances produce carbon
monoxide (CO) during the combustion process.
This product is designed to produce extremely
minute, non-hazardous amounts of CO if
used and maintained in accordance with all
warnings and instructions. Do not block air ow
into or out of the heater.
• Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning produces
u-like symptoms, watery eyes, headaches,
dizziness, fatigue and possibly death. You can’t
see it and you can’t smell it. It’s an invisible killer.
If these symptoms are present during operation
of this product get fresh air immediately!
• For outdoor use only.
• Never use inside house, or other unventilated or
enclosed areas.
• This heater consumes air (oxygen) . Do not use
in unventilated or enclosed areas to avoid
endangering your life.
WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment,
alteration, service or maintenance can cause
injury or property damage. Read the instructions
thoroughly before installing or servicing this
equipment.
WARNING: For Outdoor Use Only

WARNING: We cannot foresee every use which may
be made of our heaters. Check with your local re
safety authority if you have questions about heater
use. Other standards govern the use of fuel gases
and heat producing products for specic uses.
Your local authorities can advise you about these.
WARNING:
• This product is fueled by propane gas. Propane
gas is invisible, odorless, and ammable. An
odorant is normally added to help detect leaks
and can be described as a “rotten egg” smell.
The odorant can fade over time so leaking gas is
not always detectable by smell alone.
• Propane gas is heavier than air and leaking
propane will sink to the lowest level possible.
It can ignite by ignition sources including
matches, lighters, sparks or open ames of any
kind many feet away from the original leak. Use
only propane gas set up for vapor withdrawal.
• Propane gas should be stored or used in
compliance with local ordinances and codes or
with ANSI/NFPA 58. Turn off propane when not
in use.
WARNING:

sources or where temperatures exceed 120
degrees F (49°C).
• Propane vapors are heavier than air and can
accumulate in low places. If you smell gas, leave

heater is lighted, near ame, pilot lights, other
ignition sources or while heater is hot to touch.
• This heater is red hot during use and can ignite
ammables too close to the burner. Keep
ammables at least two (2) feet from the sides
& three (3) feet from the top. Keep gasoline and
other ammable liquids and vapors well away
from heater.
• The propane cylinder must always be stored
outdoors in a well ventilated space. Never store
propane cylinder in an enclosed area (house,
garage, etc.). If heater is to be stored indoors,
disconnect the propane cylinder for outdoor
storage.
WARNING: BURN HAZARD
• Never leave heater unattended when hot or in
use.
• Keep out of reach of children.
WARNING: Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.

Assembly Instructions
COMPONENTS
Remove all components from package.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The following items are not included, but are necessary for the proper assembly of your heater, DO NOT attempt
to assemble without proper tools.
• Phillips screwdriver w/medium blade.
• Adjustable opening wrench.
• Leak detection solution (instructions on how to make solution are included in this manual)

Step 1
If your model did not come with a wheel assembly,
proceed to step 2.
• Align the holes in the wheel assembly with the
holes in the base.
• Attach the wheel assembly to the base using the
bolts and nuts.
Step 2
If your model does not come with the anchoring
arms and nuts or you do not wish to attach these
items, proceed to step 3.
• Mount the anchoring arms and nuts to the holes
on the base housing using six bolts and nuts.
Step 3
• Attach the support legs to the top of the base
using three M8 bolts.
Step 4
• Attach the post support to the top of the support
legs using M6 x 22 bolts and M6 nuts.
Step 5
• Place the tank housing on top of the assembly.
Step 6
• Insert three reector studs into the top of the
head assembly. Tighten the studs securely.

Step 7
• Remove the 4 pre-assembled screws from the
head assembly and attach the post with these 4
screws.
• Remove the pre-assembled screws from the post
and attach to the post support using those 4
screws.
Step 8
NOTE: Leave all screws and nuts loose until the entire
reector is put together in order to ensure proper
alignment of all sections.
• Slide two pieces of the reector together. Insert
one small screw. Repeat until all pieces of the
reector are connected.
• Place cap nuts on the screws.
• Place the reector center plate into the middle of
the reector panels and repeat this procedure.
Step 9
• Slide three large at washers over the threaded
end of the studs.
• Place the reector assembly over the studs and
at washers.
• Place three more at washers over the studs and
secure the reector in place using three wing
nuts.
Step 10
• You must provide propane gas and propane
cylinder. Use a standard 20 lb. propane cylinder
only.
• Use this heater only with a propane vapor
withdrawal supply system. See chapter 5 of the
Standard for Storage and Handling of Liqueed
Petroleum Gas, ANSI/NFPA 58. Your local library or
re department should have this book.
• The minimum permissible gas supply pressure of 10
standard 20 lb. tank W.C. is required for purpose of
input adjustment.
• The minimum hourly of 1700 Btu is required input
rating for a heater for automatic operation at
ratings less than full input rating. The pressure
regulator and hose assembly supplied with the
appliance must be used.
• The installation must conform with local codes, or
in the absence of local codes, with National Fuel
Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1.
WARNING:
Remove the protective cover before assembly.

• A dented, rusted or damaged propane cylinder
may be hazardous and should be checked by your
cylinder supplier. Never use a propane cylinder
with a damaged valve connection.
• The propane cylinder must be constructed and
marked in accordance with the specications
for LP gas cylinders of the U.S. Department of
Transportation (DOT).
• Never connect an unregulated propane cylinder
to the heater.
• Attach regulator to cylinder.
• Tighten securely.
• Complete attachment.
• Install cylinder.
LEAK CHECK
• Make 2-3 oz. of leak check solution (one part liquid
dish-washing detergent and three parts water).
• Apply several drops of solution where hose
connects to the burner assembly.
• Apply several drops of solution where hose
attaches to regulator.
• Apply several drops of solution where regulator
connects to the cylinder.
• Make sure all patio heater & light valves are off.
• Turn cylinder valve on. If bubbles appear at any
connection, there is a leak.
• Turn cylinder valve off.
• If a leak is at the hose/regulator connection:
Tighten connection and perform another leak test.
• If a leak is at the regulator/cylinder valve
connection: Disconnect, reconnect, and perform
another leak check. If you continue to see
bubbles after several attempts, cylinder valve is
defective and should be returned to cylinder’s
place of purchase. If no bubbles appear at any
connection, the connections are secure.
• Turn cylinder valve off. NOTE: Whenever gas
connections are loosened or removed, you must
perform a complete leak test.
• Complete installation.
WARNING:
• Perform all leak tests outdoors.
• Extinguish all open ames.
• NEVER leak test when smoking.
• Do not use the heater until all connections
have been leak tested and do not leak.

Operation
DANGER
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
For outdoor use only. Never use inside house, or
other unventilated or enclosed areas. This heater
consumes air (oxygen). Do not use in unventilated or
enclosed areas to avoid endangering your life.

• Never install or remove propane cylinder while heater is lighted, near ame, pilot lights, other ignition sources, or
while heater is hot to touch.
• This heater is red hot during use and can ignite ammables too close to the burner. Keep ammables at least two
(2) feet from the sides & three (3) feet from the top. Keep gasoline and other ammable liquids and vapors
well away from heater.
• The propane cylinder must always be stored outdoors in a well ventilated space. Never store propane cylinder
in an enclosed area (house, garage, etc.). If heater is to be stored indoors, disconnect the propane cylinder for
outdoor storage.
BEFORE TURNING GAS SUPPLY ON
• Your heater was designed and approved for
outdoor use only. Do NOT use it inside a building,
garage, or any other enclosed area.
• Make sure surrounding areas are free of
combustible materials, gasoline, and other
ammable vapors or liquids.
• Ensure that there is no obstruction to air ventilation.
• Be sure all gas connections are tight and there are
no leaks.
• Be sure the cylinder cover is clear of debris.
• Be sure any component removed during assembly
or servicing is replaced and fastened prior to
starting.
BEFORE LIGHTING
• Heater should be thoroughly inspected before
each use, and by a qualied service person at
least annually.
• If relighting a hot heater, always wait at least 5
minutes.
• Inspect the hose assembly for evidence of
excessive abrasion, cuts, or wear. Suspected
areas should be leak tested. If the hose leaks, it
must be replaced prior to operation. Only use
the replacement hose assembly specied by the
manufacturer.
TO TURN ON THE HEATER
1. Turn on the valve on the gas supply cylinder.
2. Press and turn the variable control knob to the “HI”
position.
3. Press down the variable control knob and hold
for 20 seconds. While holding down the variable
control knob, press the igniter button several times
until the burner head ame ignites. Release the
variable control knob 10 seconds after the ignition.
• If a new tank has just been connected, please
allow at least one minute or more for the air in
the gas pipeline to purge out through the pilot
hole, or simply do step 3.
• When lighting the ame make sure that the
variable control knob is continuously depressed
while pressing the igniter button. The variable
control knob can be released after ame lit for
10 seconds.
• The ame can be watched and checked
from the peephole located on the base of the
burner.
• If a small ame is needed, turn the variable
control knob to the “LO” position.
4. Turn the variable control knob to the “LO” position
for 5 minutes or more before turning the knob to
desired temperature setting.
5. If the burner ame goes out accidentally or it is
blown out by wind, turn off the heater and wait
at least 5 minutes or more to let the gas dissipate
before lighting again to avoid possible gas
explosion. Repeat steps 2 through 4.
TO TURN OFF THE HEATER
1. Press and turn the control knob to the “OFF”
position.
2. Turn off the valve on the gas cylinder and
disconnect the cylinder.
Caution: Do not attempt to operate until you
have read & understand all of the general safety
information in this manual, and that all assembly is
complete & leak checks have been performed.

1. Close the valve of the gas cylinder.
2. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder
following the instructions that came with your
regulator.
3. Replace the cylinder.
4. In the absence of any ame, remove the plug or
seal cap from the cylinder valve.
5. Check for the presence and good state of the
gasket before connecting the regulator.
6. Perform a leak test using soapy water solution.
SAFETY OF LP-GAS SUPPLY CYLINDER
The LP-gas supply cylinder to be used must be:
1. Constructed and marked in accordance with
the Specications for LP-gas cylinders of the
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT); or
the Standard for Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes
for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and
Commission, CSA 8339, as applicable;
2. Provided with a listed overlling prevention
device;
3. Provided with a cylinder connection device
compatible with the connection for the
appliance.
USING AND REPLACING HOSE AND REGULATOR
The pressure regulator and hose assembly supplied
with the appliance must be used, replacement
pressure regulators and hose assemblies must be
those specied by the appliance manufacturer.
PROTECTING THE CYLINDER VALVE
The cylinder used must include a collar to protect
the cylinder valve.
FILL AND PLACE THE LP-GAS CYLINDER
1. Do not store a spare LP-gas cylinder under or
near this appliance;
2. Never ll the cylinder beyond 80 percent full;
3. Place the dust cap on the cylinder valve outlet
whenever the cylinder is not in use. Only install
the type of dust cap on the cylinder valve that is
provided with the cylinder valve. Other types of
caps or plugs may result in leakage of propane.
Replacing The Gas Cylinder
WARNING
Do not move the heater, or cover it with a protective cover after it has been turned off until the temperature
has cooled down.
WARNING
• Changing of cylinder must be undertaken in a
ame-free atmosphere.
• Make sure that all taps on the consuming
appliance are in closed position.
WARNING
1. The whole gas system, hose, regulator, pilot, or burner should be inspected for leaks before use.
2. Check the hose assembly for signs of extreme abrasion, cuts or wear. Suspected areas should be leak
tested. If the hose leaks, inspect the visible portion of the hose before each use of the appliance and inspect
the entire hose assembly at least annually. If disassembly is required, properly check the connections
for leaks upon re-assembly. The hose assembly must be replaced prior to the appliance being put into
operation if there is evidence of excessive abrasion or wear, or if the hose is damaged. The replacement
hose assembly shall be specied by the manufacturer.
3. Avoid twisting the exible tubes and hoses.
4. Make sure the ventilation opening of the cylinder enclosure, control compartment, burner, and circulation
air passageways of the heater are free and clear of debris. If debris, spider or insect nests are found, clean
the holes with heavy-duty pipe cleaner or compressed air.
5. Aways keep a dry chemical re extinguisher readily available.
6. For safety, always allow a 5-minute complete shut off period before re-lighting a hot heater.
7. Maximum Working Pressure (kPa): 250PSIG.

• Always close the valve of the gas cylinder after
use or in case of a disturbance.
• Remove the pressure regulator and the hose
attachment if the heater is not to be used for a
period of time.
• The cylinder must be stored outdoors in a well-
ventilated area out of the reach of children.
• The disconnected cylinder must have threaded
valve plugs tightly installed and must not be
stored in garage or any other enclosed area.
• Storage of heater indoors is permissible only if the
cylinder is disconnected and removed from the
heater.
• Check the tightness of the gas valve for damage.
If you suspect you have a damaged gas valve,
have it changed by your gas dealer.
• Never store liquid gas cylinder in a sub-terrain, or
at places without adequate air ventilation.
• Wipe off the powder coated surfaces with soft,
moist rag and soap water.
• Do not clean heater with cleaners that are
combustible or corrosive.
• Remove debris, spider and insect nests from
ventilation opening of the cylinder enclosure,
control compartment, burner and circulation air
passageways of the heater with heavy-duty pipe
cleaner or compressed air to keep appliance
clean and safe for use. Never clear ports or other
openings with toothpicks or other articles that will
break and block the ports.
• If carbon deposits develop, remove the reector
and ame screen and clean them with soap
water. Do not paint the ame screen, control
panel or reector.
• Cover the burner unit with the supplied protective
cover when the heater is not in use. Wait until the
heater is cool before covering.
• In a salt-air environment, such as near an ocean,
corrosion occurs more quickly than normal.
Check frequently for corroded areas and repair
them promptly.
• Equip your home with at least one smoke
detector on each oor.
• Keep at least one dry-powder operative ABC-
type re extinguisher in the home at all times.
• Keep areas around heat sources free of papers
and trash.
• Store paints, solvents, and ammable liquids
away from all heat and ignition sources.
• Develop a re-escape plan before a re occurs.
Be sure every person understands the plan and is
able to carry out the plan in case of emergency.
• If your clothing does catch re don’t run. Drop
down immediately and roll to smother the ames.

Cleaning And Care
General Safety
WARNING
• Do not perform maintenance after heater
has been turned off until the temperature has
cooled down.
• Do not expose the pilot, controllers and parts
underneath the burner to water. Do not use
the heater if any of these parts are exposed
to water until the appliance is inspected or
repaired by a qualied service person.

EYES
• Seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY. Do not put
ointments or liquids in eye.
ELSEWHERE
• Consult a doctor if the burn is not healed in 24
hours, or if the burn is larger than the palm of a
persons hand.
• If serious, send promptly for an ambulance or a
doctor.
• If possible, run affected area under cold water
(do not use ice or ice water) for 10-15 minutes
if the skin is intact. Cut and gently lift away any
clothing covering the burned area, without
pulling clothing over the burns. Leave in place
any clothing that is stuck to the burns. Do not put
any creams or greases on the burned area.
• If the casualty’s hands or wrists have been
burned, remove jewelry if possible without
causing further injury (rings, watches, and so forth)
and place in his/her pockets. This prevents the
necessity to cut off jewelry since swelling usually
occurs as a result of a burn.
• Do not pop any blisters. Cover the burn with a
light gauze dressing.
• If blisters pop, apply a light antibiotic ointment
and dress as above. The printed instructions
accompanying the heater shall also include the
following minimum information presented in a
readily obvious and prominent manner, such as
by being underlined, circled or printed in large or
different color type:
1. Children and adults should be alerted to the
hazards of high surface temperatures and should
stay away to avoid burns or clothing ignition.
2. Young children should be carefully supervised
when they are in the area of the heater.
3. Clothing or other ammable materials should
not be hung from the heater, or placed on or
near the heater.
4. Any guard or other protective device removed
for servicing the heater must be replaced prior
to operating the heater.
5. Installation and repair should be done by a
qualied service person. The heater should be
inspected before use and at least annually
by a qualied service person. More frequent
cleaning may be required as necessary. It is
imperative that control compartment, burners,
and circulating air passageways of the heater
be kept clean.
First Aid For A Burn
WARNING
Thisappliance shallbeused onlyinawell-ventilated
space and shall not be used in a building, garage
or any other enclosed area. An appliance may be
installed with shelter no more inclusive than:
1. With walls on all sides, but with no overhead
cover.
2. Within a partial enclosure which includes an
overhead cover and no more than two side
walls. These side walls may be parallel, as in a
breezeway, or at right angles to each other.
3. Within a partial enclosure which includes
an overhead cover and three side walls, as
long as 30 percent or more of the horizontal
perimeter of the enclosure is permanently
open.

YEUX
• Consultez IMMÉDIATEMENT un médecin. Ne pas appliquer
d’onguents de liquides dans les yeux.
AILLEURS
• Consultez un médecin si la brûlure n’est pas guérie au
bout de 24 heures, ou si la brûlure est plus grande que la
paume d’une main.
• Si c’est grave, demandez rapidement une ambulance ou
un médecin.
• Si possible, passez la zone affectée sous l’eau froide
(ne pas utiliser de glace ou de l’eau glacée) pendant
10-15 minutes si la peau est intacte. Coupez et soulevez
doucement tout vêtement recouvrant la zone brûlée, sans
tirer le vêtement par-dessus la brûlure. Laissez en place le
vêtement s’il est collé sur la brûlure. N’apposez aucune
crème ou matière grasse sur la partie brûlée.
• Si les mains ou poignets du blessé ont été brûlés, retirez les
bijoux du blessé s’il est possible de le faire sans aggraver la
blessure (bagues, montres et autres) et déposez-les dans
ses poches. Ceci évite le besoin de couper le bijou à la
suite d’une enure se produisant normalement à la suite
d’une brûlure.
• Ne crevez pas les ampoules. Couvrez la brûlure avec léger
pansement de gaze.
• Si des ampoules se forment, appliquez un léger onguent
antibiotique et appliquez un pansement comme ci-haut.
Les instructions imprimées accompagnant l’appareil de
chauffage doivent aussi inclure l’information minimale
suivante, présentée de manière simple et évidente,
comme d’être souligné, encerclé ou à gros caractères, ou
de couleur différente :
1. Les enfants et les adultes doivent être avertis des dangers
de la température élevée des surfaces de l’appareil et
devraient être tenus à l’écart an d’éviter le risque de
brûlures ou d’inammation des vêtements.
2. Les jeunes enfants doivent être surveillés attentivement
lorsqu’ils se trouvent dans l’environnement de l’appareil
de chauffage.
3. Les vêtements ou autres matériaux inammables ne
doivent pas être suspendus à l’appareil de chauffage ni
placés sur ou à proximité de ce dernier.
4. Tout protecteur ou autre dispositif de protection retiré
pour l’entretien de l’appareil de chauffage doit être
remis en place avant sa prochaine utilisation.
5. L’installation et la réparation devraient être effectuées
par un technicien qualié. Cet appareil de chauffage
devrait être inspecté avant chaque utilisation et au
moins une fois par année par un technicien qualié. Des
entretiens plus fréquents pourraient être nécessaires. Il
est impératif que le compartiment de commande, les
brûleurs et les canaux de circulation d’air de cet appareil
de chauffage soient gardés propres.
Premiers soins pour une brûlure
AVERTISSEMENT
Cet appareil doit être utilisé uniquement dans un endroit
bien ventilé et ne doit pas être utilisé à l’intérieur d’un
immeuble, garage ou tout autre endroit clos. Un appareil
doit être installé avec un abri, sans être plus enveloppant
que :
1. Avec des murs de chaque côté, mais sans être couvert
par un toit.
2. Dans une enceinte partielle, avec un toit et pas plus de
deux murs. Ces murs peuvent être parallèles, comme
dans un passage couvert, ou à angle droit l’un par
rapport à l’autre.
3. Dans une enceinte partielle, avec un toit et trois murs,
du moment que 30 % ou plus du périmètre horizontal
de l’enceinte sont toujours ouverts.

• Fermez toujours la vanne de la bouteille de gaz après
l’avoir utilisée ou en cas de perturbation.
• Retirez le régulateur de pression et le tuyautage si
l’appareil de chauffage n’est pas utilisé pendant une
période prolongée.
• La bouteille doit être entreposée à l’extérieur dans un
endroit bien ventilé et hors de portée des enfants.
• La bouteille doit comporter des bouchons de vanne letés
solidement installés, et ne doit pas être entreposée dans
un garage ou tout autre endroit clos.
• L’entreposage intérieur de l’appareil de chauffage est
permis uniquement si la bouteille est débranchée et
retirée de l’appareil de chauffage.
• Vériez tout dommage de l’étanchéité de la vanne
de gaz. Si vous suspectez que la vanne de gaz est
endommagée, demandez qu’elle soit changée par votre
détaillant de gaz.
• N’entreposez jamais de bouteille de gaz liquide dans un
endroit sous-terrain ou à des endroits sans une ventilation
adéquate.
• Essuyez les surfaces à enduit de poudres avec un chiffon
doux, humide et de l’eau savonneuse.
• Ne nettoyez pas l’appareil de chauffage avec des
nettoyants inammables ou corrosifs.
• À l’aide d’un solide cure-pipe ou d’un compresseur
d’air, retirez les débris, nids d’araignées et d’insectes
des ouvertures de la ventilation, de l’enceinte de la
bouteille, du boîtier des commandes, du brûleur et les
canaux circulation d’air de l’appareil de chauffage, an
d’il soit propre et sécuritaire à utiliser. Ne dégagez jamais
les orices ou autres ouvertures avec des cure-dents ou
autres articles pouvant se briser et boucher les orices.
• Si des défauts de carbone se sont formés, retirez le
réecteur et le pare-amme pour les nettoyer avec
de l’eau savonneuse. N’appliquez pas de peinture sur
le pare-amme, le panneau des commandes ou le
réecteur.
• Couvrez l’unité du brûleur avec la housse de protection
fournie lorsque l’appareil de chauffage n’est pas utilisé.
Attendez jusqu’à ce que l’appareil de chauffage soit
refroidi avant de le recouvrir.
• Dans un environnement salin, comme près de l’océan,
la corrosion peut se produire plus rapidement que la
normale. Vériez régulièrement des signes de corrosion
puis effectuez rapidement les retouches nécessaires.
• Installez au minimum un détecteur de fumée à chaque
étage de votre maison.
• Ayez au moins un extincteur à poudre chimique de type
ABC dans votre maison, en tout temps.
• Maintenez l’environnant près des sources de chaleur,
exempts de papiers ou déchets.
• Rangez les peintures, solvants et liquides inammables loin
de toutes sources de chaleur et d’allumage.
• Concevez un plan d’évacuation en cas d’incendie.
Assurez-vous que chaque personne comprend le plan et
qu’il est capable de s’y conformer en cas d’urgence.
• Si vos vêtements prennent feu, ne courez pas. Roulez-vous
au sol pour étouffer les ammes.

Sécurité générale
AVERTISSEMENT
• Ne faites aucune maintenance sur un appareil de
chauffage qui vient d’être arrêté et n’a pas encore
refroidi.
• N’exposez pas à l’eau la veilleuse, les contrôleurs et
les pièces sous le brûleur. N’utilisez pas l’appareil de
chauffage si l’une de ces pièces a été exposée à l’eau,
jusqu’à ce qu’il ait été inspecté ou réparé par une
personne qualiée.

1. Fermez la vanne de la bouteille de gaz.
2. Débranchez le régulateur de la bouteille en respectant
les directives fournies avec le régulateur.
3. Remplacez la bouteille.
4. En l’absence de amme, retirez le bouchon ou le
capuchon scellé de la vanne de la bouteille.
5. Vériez si le joint d’étanchéité est présent et en bon état
avant de brancher le régulateur.
6. Effectuez un test de fuites à l’aide d’une solution
savonneuse.
SÉCURITÉ DE LA BOUTEILLE D’ALIMENTATION GLP
Les bouteilles de GLP à utiliser doivent être :
1. La bouteille de propane doit être fabriquée et marquée
selon les spécications pour les bouteilles GPL du U.S
Department of Transportation (DOT) ou la norme pour
les bouteilles, sphères et tubes pour le transport des
marchandises dangereuses et la commande, CAN/
CSA-B8339.
2. Fourni avec un dispositif homologué de prévention des
trop-pleins;
3. Fourni avec un dispositif de connexion de bouteille
compatible avec le raccord de l’appareil.
UTILISER ET REMPLACER LE TUYAU ET LE
RÉGULATEUR
On doit utiliser le régulateur de pression et l’ensemble de
tuyau fournis avec l’appareil et le régulateur de pression, les
ensembles de tuyau doivent respecter les spécications du
fabricant de l’appareil.
PROTÉGER LA VANNE DE LA BOUTEILLE
La bouteille utilisée doit inclure un collet pour protéger la
vanne de la bouteille.
REMPLIR ET METTRE EN PLACE LA BOUTEILLE GLP
1. N’entreposez pas une bouteille GPL sous ou à proximité
de l’appareil;
2. Ne remplissez jamais la bouteille à plus de 80 % de sa
capacité;
3. Placez le capuchon anti-poussière sur la sortie de la
vanne de la bouteille lorsque celle-ci n’est pas utilisée.
Installez uniquement le type de capuchon anti-poussière
qui est inclus avec la vanne de la bouteille. D’autres types
de capuchons ou de bouchons pourraient provoquer
des fuites de propane.
Remplacer la bouteille de gaz
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne déplacez pas l’appareil de chauffage et ne le couvrez pas avec une housse de protection avant qu’il ait été éteint
et refroidi.
AVERTISSEMENT
• Le changement de bouteille doit se faire sous une
atmosphère sans amme.
• Assurez-vous que les robinets de l’appareil
consommant, sont tous fermés.
AVERTISSEMENT
1. Le système de gaz entier, tuyau, régulateur, veilleuse ou brûleur, devrait subir une détection de fuite avant l’utilisation.
2. Inspectez l’assemblage du tuyau pour déceler la présence extrême d’abrasion, de coupure ou d’usure. Les aires soupçonnées
devraient être testées an de déceler la présence de fuites. S’il y a fuite au niveau du tuyau, inspectez la portion visible du
tuyau avant chaque utilisation de l’appareil, et inspectez l’ensemble complet du tuyau au moins une fois par année. Si
un démontage est nécessaire, vériez correctement s’il y a fuite au niveau des raccords avant d’assembler à nouveau.
L’ensemble du tuyau doit être remplacé avant la mise en service de l’appareil s’il y a présence excessive d’abrasion ou
d’usure, ou si le tuyau est endommagé. N’utilisez que le tuyau de rechange spécié par le fabricant.
3. Évitez d’entortiller les tuyaux et tubes exibles.
4. Assurez-vous que l’ouverture de ventilation du compartiment de la bouteille, que le boîtier du brûleur et les canaux de
circulation d’air de cet appareil de chauffage sont libres et exempts de débris. S’il y a des débris, toiles d’araignées ou nids
d’insectes, nettoyez les orices avec un solide cure-pipe ou un compresseur d’air.
5. Toujours avoir un extincteur à poudre chimique à portée de main.
6. Pour une question de sécurité, attendre 5 minutes en arrêt complet avant de rallumer un appareil de chauffage chaud.
