3. Connections
3.1 Connecting to the Antenna
<Ma king A ntenna connections>
1. Connect the ant enna cable (75 oh m co-axi al) to the SIGNAL IN connector.
2. For passing the antenna signal through to another device (such as a VCR and your TV),
connect an appropriate 75 ohm co-axi al cable from the Loop Out connector of HT3000
(The Loop Out connection will pass the ant enna signal through to your device-even when
HT3000 i s in Standby mode (or Turn off at the switch)

3.2 Connecting to TV
<Connecting to PC monitor or digital TV that has an HDMI input port>
1.
Connect HT3000’s HDMI jack to an HDMI jack on your monitor or TV.
2.
Set the video output mode to 1080i or 720p or 576p by using ‘Resolution’ in Mode on
RCU
For the best access to HD programming at the highest available resolution, use this
connection method.

4. Menu Overview
4.1 Menu Instruction
Press the MENU button to display the menu. You can select the sub menu using ▲/▼/◀/▶button.
The selected sub menu becomes highlight ed.
When you have selected the sub menu you want, press button.
When you want to return to the previous menu, press button.
When y ou want to return to the liv e scr een, press th e M enu button.

4.3 Menu Structure

Installatio n
Antenna : S elect th e A ntenn a power setting s.
Auto Scan : Search the all ch annel s auto maticall y without sp ecify ing par am et ers.
Manual Scan : Search the channels manually by specifying parameters.
Region Scan: Search the channels by specifying the transmitter to which the end user’s
antenna is pointed to.
Op tion
TV Output : Select the video or audio output.
Language : Sel ect the display language, audio language, and subtitl e l anguage.

OSD Display : Setting OSD display time and transpar ency.
Channel
Reservation : Reserving channels you want to turn on STB at your desired time.
Delete : Delete the channels such as Favorite, TV/Radio CAS, etc.

OTA : Upgrade the rec eiver into th e lat est softwar e version.
S/W Upload : Tran sfer the softwar e from r eceiver to receiver or PC.
U S B Tran sf er : Tr an sfer th e sy st em so ft w ar e b etw een rec ei v er an d U S B d r iv e.
Reset
Reset Factory Def ault : Restore the receiver to the default values.
Status
Inform ation : Check the version of STB.

5. Menu Operation
5.1 First Installation
You can in st all th e receiver u sing First In stall ation for your convenience.
‘F i rst In st all ation' allow you to set your rec eiv e r u si ng si mple procedure.

Select the desired languageusing the ▲/▼
button.

Press the button to conf irm and begin
scanning.
5.2 Installation
1. Press the Menu button to display the main menu.
5.2.1 Antenna
1. Select Antenna Power type using the ◀/▶but ton.
You can sel ect Antenna Power value as O ff normally or
if the antenna needs power suppli ed from r eceiver, you
can select Antenna Power valu e as O n.
Off is the def ault value in thi s option. If you a mast er dhead amplifier or distribution
ampli f i er, y ou sho uld not enablethisoption.

5.2.2 Region Scan
1. Seelect th e region wher e u ser’s are now liviing
by using ◀/▶▲/▼buttons.
2. Press the button to start the region scan.
5.2.3 Auto Scan
1. The left window shows TV channels and the right
window shows Radio channels during the scanning
process. White chann el n am es are n ew chann el s
downloaded to your rec eiver. Gray chann el n am es ar e
alr eady existing ch ann els.
1. Choose Auto Scan menu and press button to
begin scanning
2. You can press Exit at any time to stop scanning. A
pop-up menu appears.
3. If y ou allow the complete sc an, the sam e pop-up
menu appears.
4. To save the updated channels, select 'Yes'.
5.2.4 Manual Scan
1. Set the d esir ed valu es ( see th e below) to sc an.
Use the numeric keys (0-9) and ◀/▶▲/▼
buttons.
2. Press the button to start the m anual sc an.

Transmitt er frequencies and other channel det ails for your area can be found on-line,
or phoning your TV station.
5.3 Option
5.3.1 TV Output Setup
1. Select the desired TV output options with the ▲/▼
/◀/▶button.
2. Press the button to save your chosen setting s
and exit the di al ogu e.
SCART : SelectyourTVtype.(RGB,S-VIDEO,CVBS).
If you select RGB, the component out will be disabl ed.
TV Screen : Select the screen format of your TV. (Full screen, LetterBox, Centre Cut)
Dolby Digital(DD) : If en abled ( and th e ch annel h as DD audio), it will automatic ally be
selected as the def ault soundtrack.
Digital audio : If enabled- and you are using the optical S/PDIF connector- you can li sten
to 5.1 ch ann el Dolby audio (if broad cast ) through an AC-3 decoder (y our home th eatre
amplif i er). S electing PCM will limit this to 2. 1 ch ann el audio.
5.3.2 Language
1. Select the language optionsusing the ▲/▼/◀/▶
button.
2. Press the button to save your chosen langu ag e.
Display : C hange th e langu ag e u sed for th e OSD and Menu s.
Audio 1-2 : Choose the preferred audio language for bro adcast.
Subtitle 1-2 : Choose the preferred subtitle language.
