Safety Symbols

This table depicts and describes safety symbols that may appear on this product. Read, understand and follow all instructions on the tractor before attempting to assemble and operate.

General Operation

1. Read, understand and follow all instructions on your equipment and in their manuals before

attempting to assemble and operate. Keep this manual in a safe place for future and regular

reference and for ordering replacement parts.

2. To help avoid blade contact or a thrown object injury, keep bystanders, helpers, children

and pets at least 75 feet from the tractor while it is in operation. Stop tractor if anyone

enters the area.

3. Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used. Remove all stones, sticks,

wire, bones, toys and other foreign objects which could be picked up and thrown by the

blade(s). Thrown objects can cause serious personal injury.

4. Always wear safety glasses or safety goggles during operation and while performing an

adjustment or repair to protect your eyes. Thrown objects which ricochet can cause serious

injury to the eyes.

5. Do not operate the tractor without the discharge cover or entire grass catcher in its proper

place. A missing or damaged discharge cover or grass bag attachment component may result

in thrown objects or blade contact injuries.

6. Do not put hands or feet near rotating parts or under the cutting deck. Contact with the

blade(s) can amputate hands and feet.

7. Shut off tractor’s engine and wait for blades to come to a complete stop before unclogging

tractor’s discharge opening or bagger parts.

8. Slow down before turning. Operate the tractor smoothly. Avoid erratic operation and

excessive speed. Be aware that a grass catcher attachment can affect the handling

characteristics of your tractor.

9. Disengage blade(s), set parking brake, stop engine and wait until the blade(s) come to a

complete stop before opening bagger attachment’s top cover, removing grass catcher,

emptying grass, unclogging chute, removing any grass or debris or making any adjustments.

Never leave a running tractor unattended. Always turn off blade(s), place transmission in

neutral, set parking brake, stop engine and remove key before dismounting.

10. Your tractor is designed to cut normal residential grass. Do not attempt to mow through

unusually tall, dry grass (e.g., pasture) or piles of dry leaves. Dry grass or leaves may contact

the engine exhaust and/or build up on the tractor deck presenting a potential fire hazard.

11. If situations occur which are not covered in this manual, use care and good judgment.

Contact your customer service representative for assistance.

Slope Operation

Slopes are a major factor related to loss of control and tip-over accidents which can result in severe

injury or death. Attachments can also affect the stability of the tractor. All slopes require extra

caution.

For your safety, use the slope gauge included as part of this manual to estimate the angle of slopes

before operating this tractor on a sloped or hilly area. If the slope is greater than 10 degrees or 17

percent as shown on the slope gauge, do not operate the tractor with the grass bag attachment

installed on that area or serious injury could result.

Do:

1. Mow up and down slopes, not across. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction

on slopes.

2. Watch for holes, ruts, bumps, rocks or other hidden objects. Uneven terrain could overturn

the tractor. Tall grass can hide obstacles.

3. Use slow speed. Choose a low enough speed setting so that you will not have to stop or shift

while on the slope. Tires may lose traction on slopes even though the brakes are functioning

properly. Always keep tractor in gear when going down slopes to take advantage of engine

braking action.

4. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for wheel weights or counterweights to

improve stability. Keep all movement on the slopes slow and gradual. Do not make sudden

changes in speed or direction. Rapid engagement or braking could cause the front of the

tractor to lift and rapidly flip over backwards which could cause serious injury.

5. Avoid starting or stopping on a slope. If tires lose traction, disengage the blade(s) and

proceed slowly straight down the slope.

Do Not:

1. Do not turn on slopes unless necessary; then, turn slowly and gradually downhill, if possible.

2. Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches or embankments. The tractor could suddenly turn over if

a wheel is over the edge of a cliff, ditch or if an edge caves in.

3. Do not try to stabilize the tractor by putting your foot on the ground.

4. Do not use a grass catcher on steep slopes.

5. Do not mow on wet grass. Reduced traction could cause sliding.

General Service

1. Before cleaning, repairing or inspecting, make certain the blade(s) and all moving parts

have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground against the engine to prevent

unintended starting.

2. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.

3. Never tamper with your tractor’s safety interlock system or other safety devices. Check their

proper operation regularly.

4. Never attempt to make adjustments or repairs while the tractor’s engine is running.

5. Grass catcher components and the discharge cover are subject to wear and damage which

could expose moving parts or allow objects to be thrown. For safety protection, frequently

check components and replace immediately with original equipment manufacturer’s

(O.E.M.) parts only, listed in this manual. Use of parts which do not meet the original

equipment specifications may lead to improper performance and compromise safety!

6. Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels, as necessary.

USE THIS SLOPE GAUGE TO DETERMINE

IF A SLOPE IS TOO STEEP FOR SAFE OPERATION!

To check the slope, proceed as follows:

1. Remove this page and fold along the dashed line.

2. Locate a vertical object on or behind the slope (e.g. a pole, building, fence, tree, etc.)

3. Align either side of the slope gauge with the object (See Figure 1 and Figure 2 ).

4. Adjust gauge up or down until the left corner touches the slope (See Figure 1 and Figure 2).

5. If there is a gap below the gauge, the slope is too steep for safe operation (See Figure 2 above).

WARNING

Slopes are a major factor related to tip-over and roll-over accidents which can result in severe injury or death. DO NOT operate tractor on slopes in excess of 10 degrees/17 percent. All slopes require extra caution. If

you cannot back up the slope or if you feel uneasy on it, do not mow it. Always mow up and down slopes, never across the face of slopes.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

NOTE: The clevis pin can be fed down through the hitch plate and secured underneath with

the cotter pin, or it may be easier to feed the clevis pin up through the hitch plate hole and

secure with the cotter pin on the topside. Insert the cotter pin into the top hole, closest to

the head of the pin. You may need to push up on the pin to make the hole accessible.

IMPORTANT !If you decided to leave the

hitch support only finger tight during the

assembly process, tighten all of the

hardware securely at this time.

Mount Vertical

Support Bracket

1. Install the vertical support bracket

onto the mounting assembly on the

tractor by hooking it over the cross

mounting bracket. See Figure 5.

2. Align the vertical support bracket

with the hole that best suits the

deck size of your tractor.

3. Secure the vertical support bracket

to the cross mounting bracket using

a carriage bolt (710-0276) and wing

knob (720-04122) from hardware

pack 689-02364. See Figure 6.

NOTE: Position “C” is the recommended

mounting position, but you may use other

mounting positions to accommodate

other attachments.

Install Hanger Assembly

1. Install and secure hanger assembly

onto the vertical support bracket

using two carriage bolts (710-

0276), two cup washers (736-0242)

and two lock nuts (712-04063)

from hardware pack 689-02364.

See Figure 7.

Assembling Remaining

Bagger Components

1. Tilt the front of the upper chute

support slightly forward. Slide the

clip behind the tab, then snap the

front latch to the rail, as shown in

(1) of Figure 8.

2. Snap the upper chute support in

place by first clipping the side

portion onto the hanger assembly

rail. See (2) in Figure 8.

3. Slide the left grass catcher cover

over the upper chute support and

the hanger assembly rail. Carefully

latch the two tabs in place into the

front of the upper chute support,

see (1) in Figure 9.

4. Fit the snaps onto the left side

hanger assembly rail. See (2) in

Figure 9.

NOTE: Before performing any of the instructions throughout this manual, references to left,

right, front and rear of the tractor are from the operator’s position, unless otherwise stated.

• Before assembly, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage the PTO, stop

the tractor engine and set the parking brake.

• For convenience, pivot the seat forward and leave it in that position until the grass

collector is fully mounted and assembled.

Assemble Mounting Brackets

To assemble the universal mounting

assembly, locate the rider hitch bracket

assembly (689-00304A) and the universal

support bracket (783-08129) and follow

these steps:

1. Attach the two hitch side brackets

to the rear support bracket

(rider hitch bracket assembly

689-00304A) using two carriage

bolts (710-0276) and wing knobs

(720-04122) from hardware pack

689-02364. See Figure 1.

NOTE: The hooks on the side

brackets should point downwards

and the tabs on the rear plate point

upwards as shown in Figure 1.

2. Flip over assembly and mount the

hitch support bracket to the

universal support bracket (783-

08129) using two carriage bolts

(710-0276) and wing knobs (720-

04122) from hardware pack 689-

02364. See Figure 2.

NOTE: It might be easier during the mounting stage to leave this hardware only finger tight

to facilitate lining up the hitch hole for the clevis pin. You will be instructed to tighten this

hardware later in this manual.

NOTE: Use the two holes closest to the

cross mount, see Figure 2. The hitch

support bracket will need to be flipped to

enable alignment of the proper holes.

Mount Assembly on Tractor

1. Place the hooked ends of the

mounting assembly over the

shoulder bolts on the back of the

tractor frame and line up the hitch

support bracket center hole with

the hole on the tractor’s hitch. See

Figure 3.

2. Install the clevis pin (711-0309A)

from hardware pack 689-02364

into the tractor’s hitch and secure

with a cotter pin (714-0117).

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

Installing the Boot

1. Install the boot rod mount

(747-06043) to the boot using two

shoulder screws (738-1225) and

two flange lock nuts (712-04064)

from hardware pack 689-00636.

Ensure that the shoulder screws are

installed on the interior of the boot.

See Figure 15.

2. With the tractor’s discharge chute raised up

and held open (1), install the boot by placing

the boot mounting rod into the hole provided

in either your deck wheel bracket or boot

mounting tab (2), as shown in Figure 16.

3. Secure the boot to the deck using a wing knob

(720-04122) from hardware pack 689-02364.

See Figure 17.

NOTE: If present, remove the protective cap off of

the mounting stud on the mowing deck as shown in the upper inset of Figure 17.

IMPORTANT! Be certain that the bottom of the discharge chute is located inside of the lip of

the deck opening, as shown in Figure 18.

Installing the Hose

1. Thread the upper end of the hose securely into

the upper chute support. There are two tabs

on the lower inside part of the upper chute

support to allow for secure threading. See

Figure 19.

NOTE: The hose and upper chute support are

left-hand threaded. Thread counter-clockwise

until secure.

2. Slide the hose over the boot mounted on the

cutting deck, as shown in Figure 20.

3. Make sure the connection is secure

and there are no gaps between the

hose and the boot.

4. If open, close the grass catcher

cover prior to mowing.

5. If not already installed, apply seals

(720-05151A and 720-05152B) to

the underside of the hood assembly

as shown in Figure 10.

6. From the front of the assembly, line

up the tabs on the hood assembly

with the tabs at the front of the

upper chute support. Slide the hinge

pin through the slots beginning at

the right side upper chute support

of the mounting tabs, as in Figure 11.

Push the pin all the way in until it

reaches the end-stop.

NOTE: The pin clips into place and is

secured by a tab on each side of the

bagger cover.

7. Swing the hood assembly down to close

the attachment. Push in on the rear

right-side and rear left-side tabs and

lock them into place under the notches

on each side. Ensure a secure, snug

fit. See Figure 12.

8. Open the bagger cover by pushing

in on the tabs and lifting the hood

assembly. See Figure 13.

9. Install both grass bag assemblies

onto the hanger rail by inserting the

front edge in first, as shown in

Figure 14, and setting the back edge

down until it fits into the assembly.

OPERATION

Bagger Usage

1. While mowing, periodically stop and check the viewing window on top of the grass

catcher cover. See Figure 23.

NOTE: To ensure longevity and reliable performance do not allow grass bags to fill over the

edge of the rim before emptying.

NOTE: When both grass bags are full, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage

the PTO, turn the tractor engine off and set the parking brake.

2. Open the grass catcher cover by pushing in on the rear, right-side tab and rear left-

side tab, as seen in Figure 24, and lifting the cover from the rear of the bagger cover.

Do not remove the hose assembly from the tractor.

3. Remove the grass bags by lifting these up (1) in Figure 25 and moving the bags away

from the bag support assembly (2).

4. Empty the grass clippings at a proper disposal site, use the handle at the bottom of

each grass bag. Holding the bag firmly, empty the contents.

5. Open the grass catcher as described in Step 2, and secure the grass bags back into

place in the same orientation in which they were removed. Close the lid and restart

your tractor. Resume cutting as needed.

NOTE: Retighten all wing knobs periodically throughout the season.

LIMITED WARRANTY

The limited warranty set forth herein is given by Cub Cadet LLC

with respect to new attachments and/or accessories (hereinafter

“Attachments”) purchased and used in the United States and/or

Canada to the Initial Purchaser (as defined herein). For Canadian

sales, the warranty is provided by MTD Products Limited.

Scope of the Limited Warranty

Cub Cadet LLC offers the following limited warranty to the Initial

Purchaser for residential or otherwise non-commercial use: except

for the Exclusions (defined herein), during the Warranty Period (as

defined herein), this Attachment will be free from manufacturing

defects (including workmanship and materials). The “Initial

Purchaser” is the first person to purchase this new Attachment from

an authorized Cub Cadet dealer, distributor and/or retailer of such

products. This limited warranty is non-transferrable. Except as

otherwise set forth herein, the limited warranty period for this new

Attachment purchased by the Initial Purchaser is three (3) years from

the date of purchase as shown on the original sales receipt for the

product (“Warranty Period”).

Defects in Workmanship or Materials

Except for the Exclusions, this Attachment is warranted to be free

from manufacturing defects in either workmanship or materials for

the Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, Cub Cadet LLC

will, at its option, either repair or replace any original part that is

covered by this limited warranty and is determined to be defective

in workmanship or material.

To qualify for this limited warranty this Attachment:

1. Must have been purchased from an authorized retailer.

2. Must have been purchased within the United States or Canada

by the Initial Purchaser.

3. Must have been used for residential purposes only.

4. Must have been used in a manner consistent with the normal

and proper intended use for this Attachment. This Attachment

is not intended for rental or commercial use.

Who can perform repairs under this warranty?

In order to qualify for the limited warranty as set forth herein, the repairs

made under this warranty must be performed by an authorized Cub Cadet

service provider.

How to get service under this limited warranty:

To locate a Cub Cadet warranty service provider, contact your authorized

Cub Cadet dealer, distributor, or retailer or contact Cub Cadet LLC at P.O. Box

361131, Cleveland, Ohio 44136-0019 or call 1-877-282-8684, or log on to our

Website at www.cubcadet.com. In Canada, contact MTD Products Limited,

Kitchener, ON N2G 4J1, or call 1-800-668-1238 or log on to our Web site at

www.mtdcanada.com. This limited product warranty is provided by Cub

Cadet LLC and is the only product warranty provided by Cub Cadet LLC for this

Attachment. A COPY OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FOR WARRANTY

SERVICE.

What this limited warranty does not cover.

This limited warranty does not cover the following (the “Exclusions”):

1. Product purchased outside of the United States or Canada.

2. Damage due to lack of maintenance and/or improper

maintenance as described in the operator’s manual

3. Normal wear and tear resulting from use of the product.

4. Any expendable, consumable, or routine maintenance

item which needs replacement or service as part of normal

maintenance, unless such items have defects that cause failure

or premature wear within the first thirty (30) days of purchase.

Normal wear items include but are not limited to, tires, fuses,

blades, batteries, belts, hoses, string trimmer line, engine oil,

hydraulic oil, grass bags, and other consumable items where

applicable, or adjustments, such as clutch, brake or deck

adjustments or tune-ups.

5. Use of the product that is not consistent with the intended

use thereof as described in the operating instructions,

including, but not limited to, abuse, misuse and/or neglect

of the Attachment or any use inconsistent with and/or

non-compliant with instructions contained in the Operator’s

Manual.

6. Any Attachment that has been altered or modified in a

manner not consistent with the original design of the

Attachment or in a manner not approved by Cub Cadet LLC.

7. Paint repairs or replacements for defective paint (including

materials and application) are covered for a period of three

(3) months; provided however, that this limited warranty

for defective paint does not apply to and shall not cover

damage(s) to the paint application resulting from exposure to

weather conditions and/or resulting from normal use of the

Attachment, including misuse.

This warranty does not cover and Cub Cadet disclaims any responsibility

for:

1. Loss of time or loss of use of the Attachment.

2. Transportation costs and other expenses incurred in

connection with the transport of the Attachment to and from

the authorized Cub Cadet service provider.

3. Any loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.

4. Damages caused by improper maintenance or the use of

other than the specified fuel, oil or lubricants as approved in

the operator’s manual.

5. Damage resulting from the installation or use of any

accessory or part not approved by Cub Cadetfor use with the

Attachment.

Limitations:

1. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT

LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY

OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO WARRANTY

SHALL APPLY AFTER THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD AS

SET FORTH ABOVE AS TO THE PARTS AS IDENTIFIED. NO OTHER

EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY, WHETHER WRITTEN OR

ORAL, EXCEPT AS MENTIONED ABOVE, GIVEN BY ANY PERSON

OR ENTITY, INCLUDING A DEALER OR RETAILER, WITH RESPECT

TO ANY PRODUCT SHALL BIND Cub Cadet LLC. DURING THE

WARRANTY PERIOD, THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS REPAIR OR

REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PART, AS SET FORTH ABOVE.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD

Funcionamiento general

1. Lea, comprenda y respete todas las instrucciones que figuran en el equipo y en los manuales antes de

intentar armarlo y hacerlo funcionar. Guarde este manual en un lugar seguro para consultas futuras y

periódicas, así como para solicitar repuestos.

2. Para ayudar a evitar una lesión por contacto con las cuchillas o con un objeto que sea arrojado,

mantenga a los observadores, a los ayudantes, a niños y mascotas alejados a no menos de 75 pies de la

cortadora mientras está funcionando. Pare la tractora si alguien ingresa a la zona.

3. Revise minuciosamente el área donde se va a usar el equipo. Saque todas las piedras, palos, cables,

huesos, juguetes y demás objetos extraños que puedan ser recogidos y arrojados por las cuchilla(s). Los

objetos arrojados por la tractora pueden producir lesiones personales graves.

4. Para protegerse los ojos, utilice siempre anteojos o antiparras de seguridad durante la operación o

mientras realiza ajustes o reparaciones. Los objetos arrojados que rebotan pueden producir lesiones

graves en los ojos.

5. Nunca opere la cortadora de césped si no está bien colocada la cubierta de descarga o el colector de

césped completo. Si falta la cubierta de descarga o está dañada o un componente del accesorio de

embolsadora falta, se pueden producir lesiones por contacto con la cuchilla o con objetos arrojados.

6. No ponga las manos ni los pies cerca de las piezas rotatorias ni debajo de la plataforma de corte. El

contacto con las cuchilla(s) puede amputar manos y pies.

7. Apague el motor de la cortadora de césped y espere que las cuchillas se detengan totalmente antes de

desbloquear la abertura de descarga de la cortadora o las piezas de la embolsadora.

8. Reduzca la velocidad antes de girar. Haga funcionar la tractora de manera uniforme. Evite que funcione

de manera errática y a excesiva velocidad. Tenga en cuenta que el accesorio colector de césped puede

afectar las características de manejo de su cortadora.

9. Desenganche la o las cuchilla(s), coloque el freno de mano, detenga el motor y espere hasta que las

cuchillas se detengan totalmente antes de abrir la cubierta superior del accesorio embolsador, sacar

el colector de césped, vaciar los recortes, desbloquear el canal, retirar cualquier residuo o desecho

o realizar cualquier ajuste. Nunca deje la tractora encendida sin atención. Siempre desconecte las

cuchillas, ponga la transmisión en punto muerto, ponga el freno de mano, detenga el motor y retire la

llave antes de bajarse del vehículo.

10. Su tractora está diseñada para cortar césped residencial normal. No intente cortar césped demasiado

crecido, seco (como un pastizal) ni pilas de hojas secas. El césped o las hojas secas pueden entrar en

contacto con el escape del motor y/o acumularse en la plataforma de corte presentando un potencial

peligro de incendio.

11. Si se presentan situaciones que no están previstas en este manual, tenga cuidado y use el sentido

común. Póngase en contacto con su representante de atención al cliente para obtener ayuda.

Operación en pendientes

Las pendientes son un factor importante en los accidentes ocasionados por pérdida de control y vuelcos que

pueden causar lesiones graves e incluso la muerte. Los accesorios también pueden afectar la estabilidad de la

tractora. Todas las pendientes requieren precaución extra.

Para su seguridad, use el medidor de pendientes que se incluye como parte de este manual para calcular el

ángulo de las pendientes antes de hacer funcionar la tractora en una zona accidentada. Si la pendiente aparece

como mayor de 10 grados o 17 porcentaje en el medidor, no haga funcionar la cortadora con el accesorio para

bolsas de césped en ese sector, pues podría causar lesiones graves.

Si:

1. Corte hacia arriba y abajo de las pendientes, no en forma transversal. Tenga sumo cuidado al cambiar

de dirección en una pendiente.

2. Esté atento a los hoyos, surcos, baches, rocas, u otros objetos ocultos. El terreno desnivelado puede

voltear la tractora. El césped alto puede ocultar obstáculos.

3. Conduzca a baja velocidad. Seleccione una velocidad lo suficientemente baja como para que no necesite

detenerse o cambiar de marcha estando en pendiente. Los neumáticos pueden perder tracción en las

pendientes aun cuando los frenos funcionen correctamente. Siempre mantenga la tractora en cambio

mientras desciende una pendiente para poder frenar con el motor.

4. Siga las recomendaciones del fabricante sobre los pesos o contrapesos de las ruedas para mejorar la

estabilidad. Haga que todos los movimientos en las pendientes sean lentos y graduales. No realice

cambios bruscos de velocidad o dirección. Hacer un cambio o frenar repentinamente puede hacer que el

frente de la tractora se levante y vuelque rápidamente hacia atrás dando lugar a lesiones graves.

5. Evite arrancar o detenerse en una pendiente. Si las ruedas pierden tracción, desacople las cuchillas y

descienda la pendiente lentamente.

No:

1. No gire en pendiente a menos que sea necesario; si lo hace, gire lenta y gradualmente cuesta abajo, si

es posible.

2. No corte el césped cerca de barrancos, zanjas o terraplenes. La cortadora puede volcarse

repentinamente si una de las ruedas pasa el borde de un acantilado o zanja o si se desmorona un borde.

3. No intente estabilizar la tractora poniendo el pie en el suelo.

4. No utilice colector de césped en pendientes empinadas.

5. No corte el césped húmedo. La falta de tracción puede hacer que patine.

Servicio general

1. Antes de limpiar, reparar o inspeccionar la tractora, compruebe que la(s) cuchilla(s) y todas las piezas

móviles se hayan detenido. Desconecte el cable de la bujía y póngalo haciendo tierra contra el motor

para evitar que se encienda accidentalmente.

2. Mantenga todos los pernos, tuercas y tornillos bien ajustados para asegurarse que la tractora se

encuentra en condiciones seguras de operación.

3. Nunca intente violar el sistema de bloqueo de seguridad u otros mecanismos de seguridad de la

cortadora. Compruebe regularmente que estos elementos funcionen correctamente.

4. No intente nunca hacer ajustes o reparaciones a la cortadora mientras el motor está en marcha.

5. Los componentes del colector de césped y la cubierta de descarga están sujetos a desgaste y daños

que podrían dejar expuestas piezas que se mueven o permitir que se arrojen objetos. Para proteger su

seguridad, verifique frecuentemente los componentes y reemplácelos inmediatamente por piezas del

fabricante del equipo original (O.E.M.) solamente que se indican en este manual. El uso de piezas que

no cumplen con las especificaciones del equipo original puede resultar en rendimiento inadecuado y

puede poner en peligro la ¡seguridad!

Para comprobar la pendiente, proceda de la siguiente manera:

ARMADO E INSTALACIÓN

NOTE: El pasador de horquilla se puede pasar hacia abajo por la placa de enganche y

asegurarlo por abajo con el sujetador de horquilla; o puede resultar más fácil pasarlo hacia

arriba por el orificio de la placa de enganche y asegurarlo con el sujetador en la parte

superior. Inserte el pasador de horquilla dentro del agujero superior, que está más cerca de

la cabeza del pasador. Puede necesitar empujar el pasador para hacer que se pueda acceder

al orificio.

¡IMPORTANTE! Si decidió dejar el

soporte de enganche ajustado sólo

manualmente durante el proceso de

montaje, ajuste firmemente todos los

demás elementos de ferretería en este

momento.

Montar el soporte vertical

1. Instale la ménsula de soporte

vertical en el conjunto de montaje

sobre el tractor enganchándola

encima del soporte de montaje

cruzado. Consulte la Figura 5.

2. Alinee el soporte vertical con el

agujero que mejor se adapte al

tamaño de la cubierta de su tractor

3. Asegure el conjunto de soporte de

la bolsa a el ensamblaje de montaje

utilizando un perno del carro

(710-0276) y ala (720-04122) desde

el hardware pack 689-02364. Ver

Figura 6.

NOTA: La posición “C” es la posición de

montaje recomendada, pero puede

utilizar otras posiciones de montaje para

acomodar otros accesorios.

Instale el conjunto de

suspensión

1. Instale el conjunto del colgador en

el soporte utilizando dos tornillos

de transporte (710-0276), dos

arandelas de copa (736-0242) y dos

tuercas de bloqueo (712-04063)

del paquete de herramientas 689-

02364. Ver Figura 7.

Armado del resto de los

componentes de la

1. Inclinar ligeramente hacia delante la

parte delantera del soporte superior

del vertedero. Deslice el clip detrás de

la lengüeta y, a continuación, encaje el

pestillo delantero en el riel, tal como se

muestra en (1) de la ilustración

2. Fije el soporte superior del vertedero en su

lugar sujetando primero la parte lateral en

el riel de soporte de la ensacadora. Ver (2)

• Antes del montaje, coloque el tractor sobre una superficie firme y nivelada,

desenganche la toma de fuerza PTO, detenga el motor del tractor y coloque el freno

de mano.

• Para mayor comodidad, gire el asiento hacia adelante y déjelo en esa posición hasta

que el colector de césped esté completamente montado y ensamblado.

Arme las ménsulas

de soporte

Para montar el conjunto de montaje

universal, localice el conjunto del soporte

del enganche del motociclista (689-

00304A) y el soporte universal (783-

08129) y siga estos pasos:

1. Fije los dos soportes laterales del

enganche al soporte de soporte

trasero (conjunto de soporte del

enganche del motociclista 689-00304A)

utilizando dos tornillos de transporte

(710-0276) y pomos de ala (720-04122)

de hardware pack 689-02364. Ver

Figura 1.

NOTA: Los ganchos sobre las ménsulas

laterales deben apuntar hacia abajo y las

lengüetas sobre la placa trasera hacia

arriba como se muestra en la Figura 1.

2. Dé la vuelta al conjunto y monte el

soporte de apoyo del enganche en el

soporte de apoyo universal (783-08129)

utilizando dos pernos de carro (710-0276) y perillas de mariposa (720-04122) del

paquete de herrajes 689-02364. Consulte Figura 2.

NOTE:

Durante la etapa de montaje podría resultar más fácil dejar ajustado este único

elemento de ferretería para facilitar el alineamiento con el orificio de enganche para el

pasador de horquilla. Más adelante en el manual se le indicará que ajuste este elemento de

ferretería

NOTE: Use los dos orificios más cercanos

al montaje transversal, vea la Figura 2. El

soporte del soporte del enganche deberá

ser volteado para permitir la alineación de

los orificios adecuados.

Monte el conjunto en el

tractor

1. Coloque los extremos con gancho

del conjunto de montaje sobre los

pernos con reborde en la parte

posterior del bastidor del tractor

y alinee el orificio central de la

ménsula de soporte del enganche

con el orificio del enganche del

2. Instale el pasador de horquilla

(711-0309A) del paquete de

Instalación del bota

1. Instale el soporte de la barra de arranque

(747-06043) en la bota usando dos (2)

tornillos de hombro (738-1225) y dos (2)

tuercas de llave (712-04064) del paquete

de herrajes 689-00636. Asegúrese de que

los tornillos de hombro estén instalados en

el interior de la bota. Vea la Figura 15.

2. Con el canal de descarga del tractor elevado y

abierto (1), instale el bota colocando la varilla

de montaje del bota en el orificio suministrado

en la ménsula de las ruedas de la plataforma o

la lengüeta de montaje del canal (2), como se

ve en la Figura 16.

3. Fije bota a la plataforma con la perilla de

aletas (720-04122) del paquete de herrajes

689-02364. Consulte la Figura 17.

NOTA: Si la hubiera, retire la cubierta protectora del prisionero de montaje en la plataforma

de corte como se muestra en el recuadro de la Figura 17.

¡IMPORTANT! Asegúrese de que la parte inferior del canal de descarga está ubicado dentro

del borde de la abertura de plataforma, como se muestra en la Figura 18.

Instalación de la manguera

1. Enrosque el extremo superior de la manguera

firmemente en el soporte del canal superior.

Hay dos lengüetas en la parte interna inferior

del soporte del canal superior para permitir

que se enrosque firmemente. Consulte la

Figura 19.

NOTA: The El manguera y el soporte del canal

superior se enroscan hacia la izquierda. Enrosque

en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta

que quede firme.

2. Deslice la manguera sobre el maletero

montado en la plataforma de corte,

como se muestra en la Figura 20.

3. Asegúrese de que la conexión sea firme

y que no haya separaciones entre el

manguera y el bota.

4. Si está abierta, cierre la cubierta de la

embolsadora antes de cortar el césped.

3. Deslice la cubierta de la embolsadora del lado izquierdo sobre el soporte del canal

superior y el conjunto del soporte de la bolsa. Trabe con precaución las dos la

engüetas en su lugar en el frente del soporte del canal superior, consulte 1 en la

Figura 9.

4. Coloque los cierres a presión sobre el soporte de riel de la embolsadora del lado

izquierdo. Vea 2 en la Figura 9.

5. Si no está ya instalado, aplique sellos (720-05151A y 720-05152B) en la parte inferior

del conjunto de la campana como se muestra en

Figura 10.

6. Desde el frente del conjunto, se deben alinear las lengüetas del conjunto de la

campana con las lengüetas en el frente del soporte del canal superior. Deslice el

pasador de horquilla a través de las ranuras comenzando en el soporte del canal

superior del lado derecho de las lengüetas de montaje, como en la Figura 11. Oprima el

pasador completamente hasta que llegue al tope de extremo.

NOTA:

El pasador calza en su posición y queda asegurado por una lengüeta, una a cada

lado de la cubierta de la embolsadora

7. Gire la cubierta de la embolsadora superior hacia abajo para cerrar el accesorio,

oprimiendo las lengüetas posteriores del lado derecho y del lado izquierdo y trábelas en

su lugar debajo de las muescas de cada lado Compruebe que encajen perfectamente.

Consulte la Figura 12.

8. Abra la cubierta de la embolsadora oprimiendo las lengüetas y levantando la cubierta

de la embolsadora superior. Consulte la Figura 13.

9. Instale ambos conjuntos de bolsas recolectoras de césped con los lados de engrane

apretados hacia adelante, a las ménsulas de soporte de las bolsas insertando el borde

delantero primero, como se muestra en la Figura 14, y manteniendo el borde trasero

hacia abajo hasta que encaje en la unidad.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

Uso de la embolsadora

1. Mientras corta el césped, deténgase periódicamente y controle la ventanilla de

visualización que está arriba de la tapa del colector de césped. Consulte la Figura 23.

NOTA: A fin de asegurar una vida útil prolongada y un rendimiento confiable, no permita

que las bolsas recolectoras se llenen por encima del borde antes de vaciarlas.

NOTA: Una vez que estén llenas ambas bolsas recolectoras de césped, coloque el tractor

en suelo firme y nivelado, desactive la PTO, apague el motor del tractor y ponga el freno de

mano.

2. Abra la cubierta de la colectora de césped oprimiendo hacia adentro la lengüeta

posterior derecha y la lengüeta posterior izquierda, como se de la Figura 24, y

levantando la cubierta por la parte posterior de la cubierta de la embolsadora. No

extraiga del tractor el conjunto de tubo del canal.

3. Retire las bolsas de césped, levantándolas (1 en Figura 25) y separándolas del

conjunto de soporte de las bolsas (2).

4. Vacíe los recortes de pasto en un predio de eliminación adecuado, use la

manija del fondo de cada bolsa para césped. Para vaciar el contenido sostenga

firmemente la bolsa.

5. Abra la recolectora como se describe en el paso 3 y sujete las bolsas recolectoras de

césped de nuevo en su lugar con la misma orientación en la que se extrajeron. Cierre

la tapa y vuelva a arrancar el tractor. Retome el corte según sea necesario.

NOTA: Vuelva a ajustar las perillas de aletas periódicamente durante toda la temporada.

este Accesorio estará libre de defectos de fabricación (que incluyen mano de obra y

materiales). El “Comprador Inicial”es la primera persona en adquirir este Accesorio nuevo

de un representante, distribuidor y/o minorista Cub Cadet autorizado de los mencionados

productos. La garantía limitada es intransferible. Excepto que se disponga lo contrario

en el presente documento, el período de la garantía limitada para este nuevo Accesorio

adquirido por el Comprador inicial es de tres (3) años a partir de la fecha de compra, como

se indica en el comprobante de venta original correspondiente al Accesorio (“Período de

la Garantía”).

Defectos de mano de obra o de materiales

Excepto por las Exclusiones, se garantiza que este Accesorio estará libre de defectos de

fabricación en la mano de obra o los materiales durante el Período de la Garantía. Durante

el Período de Garantía, LLC reparará o reemplazará, a su juicio, cualquier pieza original

cubierta por la presente garantía limitada y que se determine que presenta algún defecto

en la mano de obra o los materiales.

Para tener derecho a esta garantía limitada, este Accesorio:

1. Debe haber sido adquirido de un minorista autorizado.

2. Debe haber sido adquirido por el Comprador Inicial dentro de los Estados Unidos

o Canadá.

3. Debe haber sido usado únicamente para fines residenciales.

4. Debe haberse usado de una manera coherente con el uso normal y adecuado

para el que fue diseñado este Accesorio. El Accesorio no está diseñado para

Lo que no cubre la presente garantía limitada.

La presente garantía limitada no cubre lo siguiente (las“Exclusiones”):

1. Los productos adquiridos fuera del territorio de los Estados Unidos o Canadá.

2. Los daños producidos por la falta de mantenimiento y/o un mantenimiento

inadecuado, según se describe en el manual del operador.

3. El desgaste normal resultante del uso del producto.

4. Los artículos desechables, consumibles o de mantenimiento de rutina que

requieren reparaciones o servicio como parte del mantenimiento normal, salvo

que tales artículos presenten defectos que ocasionen fallas o desgaste prematuro

dentro de los primeros treinta (30) días de adquirido. Los artículos con desgaste

normal incluyen, pero no se limitan a, llantas, fusibles, cuchillas, baterías, correas,

mangueras, línea de orilladora, aceite de motor, aceite hidráulico, bolsas para

recortes y otros consumibles, en su caso, o ajustes, como ajuste del embrague,

freno o plataforma, o puestas a punto.

5. El uso del producto que no sea coherente con el uso para el que fue diseñado

según se describe en las instrucciones de funcionamiento, que incluye, a título de

ejemplo, el uso abusivo, inadecuado y/o negligente del Accesorio o cualquier uso

que no sea coherente con y/o no cumpla con las instrucciones que se incluyen en

el Manual del Operador.

6. Cualquier Accesorio que haya sido alterado o modificado de una manera que no

sea coherente con el diseño original del Accesorio o de una manera no aprobada

por Cub Cadet LLC.

7. Las reparaciones en concepto de pintura o los reemplazos por defectos en la

pintura (que incluyen los materiales y la aplicación) están cubiertos por un período

de tres (3) meses.

8. Las llantas de las ruedas (cuando están equipadas) están cubiertas durante un

período de tres (3) meses por defectos de fabricación.

La presente garantía no cubre y Cub Cadet LLC rechaza todo tipo de responsabilidad

respecto de:

1. Pérdida de tiempo o pérdida de uso del Accesorio.

2. Costos de transporte y otros gastos incurridos en relación con el transporte del

Accesorio desde y hacia el proveedor de reparaciones y mantenimiento Cub Cadet

autorizado.

3. Cualquier pérdida o daño a otros equipos o elementos personales.

4. Daños ocasionados por mantenimiento inadecuado o el uso de combustible, aceite

o lubricantes que no fueran los especificados, según lo aprobado en el manual del

operador.

5. Daño resultante de la instalación o el uso de cualquier accesorio o pieza no

aprobados por Cub Cadet para utilizar con el Accesorio.

APLICACIÓN NINGUNA GARANTÍA AL CABO DEL PERÍODO DE GARANTÍA

CORRESPONDIENTE SEGÚN LO ESTABLECIDO PRECEDENTEMENTE

RESPECTO DE LAS PIEZAS SEGÚN SU IDENTIFICACIÓN. NINGUNA

OTRA GARANTÍA EXPRESA, YA SEA ORAL O ESCRITA, EXCEPTO LA

MENCIONADA ANTERIORMENTE, OTORGADA POR PERSONAS FÍSICAS O

JURÍDICAS, INCLUIDOS LOS DISTRIBUIDORES O MINORISTAS RESPECTO

DE CUALQUIER PRODUCTO, VINCULARÁ A CUB CADET LLC. DURANTE

EL PERÍODO DE GARANTÍA, EL ÚNICO RECURSO SERÁ LA REPARACIÓN

O EL REEMPLAZO DE LA PIEZA DEFECTUOSA, SEGÚN LO ESTABLECIDO

PRECEDENTEMENTE. (ALGUNOS ESTADOS NO PERMITEN LA LIMITACIÓN

DANGER

Ce dispositif a été conçu pour être utilisé selon les pratiques d’utilisation sécuritaires décrites dans ce manuel. Une imprudence ou une erreur de jugement de la part de

l’opérateur peut entraîner des blessures graves. Les tracteurs peuvent amputer des mains et des pieds, ainsi que projeter des objets. Le non-respect des consignes de

sécurité et des instructions fournies avec votre tracteur pourrait entraîner des blessures graves et même causer la mort.

Utilisation en général

1. Veuillez lire, assimiler et respecter les avertissements et les instructions qui sont apposés sur le

dispositif et dans leurs manuels respectifs avant de monter et de mettre en marche l’équipement.

Conservez le présent manuel dans un endroit sûr pour consultation régulière et ultérieure, de même

que pour commander des pièces de rechange.

2. Pour éviter tout contact avec la lame ou d’être blesser par un projectile, éloignez les enfants, les

passants, les assistants et les animaux à au moins 75 pieds de la tracteur en cours de fonctionnement.

Arrêtez l’appareil si quelqu’un pénètre dans la zone de travail.

3. Examinez soigneusement la zone où la tracteur sera utilisée. Retirez toutes les pierres, tous les bâtons,

les fils, les os, les jouets et les autres objets qui pourraient être avalés et projetés par les lames. Les

objets projetés peuvent provoquer des blessures corporelles graves.

4. Pour protéger vos yeux, portez toujours des lunettes de sécurité munies ou non de coques en utilisant

l’appareil, lors de réglages ou de réparations. Les objets projetés, qui ricochent, risquent de blesser

grièvement les yeux.

5. Ne faites pas fonctionner la tracteur sans son clapet d’éjection ou son bac de ramassage installé

dans son emplacement approprié. Un clapet d’éjection ou un composant du dispositif d’ensachage

manquant ou endommagé peut entraîner des blessures causées par la projection d’objets ou par le

contact avec la lame.

6. N’approchez pas vos mains et vos pieds des pièces en rotation et ne les passez jamais sous le plateau de

coupe. Un contact avec les lames risque d’amputer les mains et les pieds.

7. Coupez le moteur de la tracteur et attendez que les lames s’immobilisent complètement avant de

déboucher l’ouverture d’éjection ou les pièces du dispositif d’ensachage de la tracteur.

8. Ralentissez avant de tourner. Manoeuvrez la tracteur en douceur. Évitez le fonctionnement erratique

et une vitesse excessive. Tenez compte du fait que les accessoires d’ensachage peuvent influencer les

caractéristiques de manipulation de votre tracteur.

9. Désengorgez les lames, placez le frein à main, coupez le moteur et attendez l’immobilisation complète

des lames avant d’ouvrir le couvercle du bac de ramassage, de retirer celui-ci, de vider l’herbe, de

déboucher la goulotte, de retirer les débris, ou en effectuant tout autre ajustement. Ne laissez jamais

une tracteur en marche sans surveillance. Attendez toujours que les lames s’immobilisent, placez la

transmission au neutre, mettez le frein à main, coupez le moteur et retirez la clé avant le démontage.

10. Votre tracteur est conçue pour tondre du gazon résidentiel normal. Ne tentez pas de couper la pelouse

exceptionnellement longue et sèche (par exemple, des pâturages) ou des amas de feuilles mortes. De

la pelouse sèche ou des feuilles mortes peuvent entrer en contact avec l’échappement du moteur ou

s’accumuler sur la plate-forme de la tracteur offrant un risque d’incendie potentiel.

11. En cas de situations qui ne sont pas mentionnées dans le présent manuel, soyez prudent et faites

preuve de bon sens. Pour obtenir de l’aide, communiquez avec un représentant du service à la clientèle.

Utilisation sur une pente

Les pentes sont l’un des principaux facteurs qui contribuent à la perte de contrôle et aux accidents liés aux

renversements qui peuvent entraîner des blessures graves et même causer la mort. Les accessoires de tonte

peuvent également affecter la stabilité de la tracteur. Tout travail sur des pentes exige des précautions

supplémentaires.

Par mesure de sécurité, utilisez l’inclinomètre fourni dans le présent manuel pour mesurer l’inclinaison du

terrain avant d’utiliser cet appareil dans une zone en pente ou montagneuse. Si la pente est supérieure à 10

degrés ou 17 pour cent comme indiqué sur l’inclinomètre, retirez les accessoires de tonte (c.-à-d. le sac de

ramassage, etc.) avant de commencer le travail dans ce secteur, car des blessures graves pourraient s’en suivre.

À faire:

1. Tondez parallèlement à la pente, jamais en travers. Faites preuve d’une extrême prudence lors des

changements de direction sur une pente.

2. Faites attention aux trous, aux ornières, aux pierres ou aux objets dissimulés dans l’herbe. Un terrain

inégal peut faire retourner la tracteur. Des herbes hautes peuvent dissimuler des obstacles.

3. Roulez à basse vitesse. Choisissez un réglage de vitesse suffisamment bas pour que vous n’ayez

pas à arrêter ou à changer de vitesse lorsque vous vous trouvez sur une pente. Quoique les freins

fonctionnent correctement, les pneus peuvent perdre une certaine traction sur les pentes. Maintenez

toujours la tracteur embrayée lorsque vous descendez les pentes afin de tirer avantage de l’action de

freinage du moteur.

4. Respectez les recommandations du fabricant pour les poids ou les contrepoids des roues afin

d’améliorer la stabilité. Gardez tous les mouvements lents et progressifs lorsque vous vous trouvez

sur les pentes. Ne changez pas brusquement de vitesse ou de direction. Un embrayage ou un freinage

brusque pourrait faire basculer la tracteur et causer un renversement arrière, causant ainsi des

blessures graves.

5. Évitez de mettre en marche la tracteur ou de vous arrêter sur une pente. Si les pneus perdent de la

traction, désembrayez les lames et dirigez-vous lentement vers le bas de la pente.

À ne pas faire:

1. Si possible, évitez de changer de direction sur les pentes à moins que ce ne soit absolument nécessaire.

2. Ne tondez pas près de descentes, de fossés ou de remblais. La tracteur pourrait basculer soudainement

si une roue se trouve au bord d’une falaise, d’un fossé ou si un bord s’affaisse.

3. N’essayez pas de stabiliser la tracteur en mettant votre pied au sol.

4. Ne vous servez pas d’un bac de ramassage sur les pentes raides.

5. Ne tondez pas de l’herbe mouillée. Une traction réduite pourrait cause un glissement.

Entretien général

1. Avant de nettoyer, de réparer ou d’examiner la tracteur, assurez-vous que la lame et toutes les pièces

mobiles sont immobiles. Débranchez le fil de la bougie d’allumage et mettez-le à la terre contre le

moteur pour empêcher tout démarrage intempestif.

2. Afin de vous assurer que l’équipement conserve une condition de travail sécuritaire, maintenez tous les

écrous, boulons et vis bien serrés.

3. N’altérez jamais le système de verrouillage de sécurité de votre tracteur ni d’autres dispositifs de

sécurité. Vérifiez régulièrement leur bon fonctionnement.

4. Ne tentez jamais de faire des ajustements ou des réparations lorsque le moteur de la tracteur tourne.

5. Les composants du sac à herbe et du clapet d’éjection peuvent s’user et s’endommager; par

conséquent, ils peuvent exposer les pièces mobiles ou provoquer la projection d’objets. Par mesure de

sécurité, vérifiez régulièrement les composants et remplacez-les immédiatement avec des pièces de

rechange authentiques du fabricant uniquement. Consultez la liste des pièces dans ce manuel. L’emploi

de pièces non conformes aux caractéristiques du matériel d’origine pourrait entraîner une performance

inférieure et compromettre la sécurité!

6. Prenez soin des étiquettes de sécurité et remplacez-les au besoin.
