This is what the correct
“spread-squat position” looks
like on your hip. The bum of
your baby is lower than his /
her knees. Furthermore, you
can see clearly that you shift
your pelvis to one side with-
out the sling.
KNOT ON THE BACK

Simple hip
carry position
Every carrier usually as t eir favourite side, but
we recommend c anging t e carrying side now
and t en to protect your ips and to prevent over-
loading to one side. T e ip carrying position is
suited for s ort distances, at ome or e.g. w en
partying. If t e little ones are getting tired and fretful
t ey are sitting in t e sling, next to your body, feeling
well and rig t “in t e middle of t e play”. T ey often
fall asleep after some minutes. You recognise t e
properly tied ip carry position w en you don’t need
to build a counterweig t to your baby and w en your
spine stays straig t or you do not bend in your ip.
