SPECIFICATIONS ILLUSTRATION DESCRIPTION
The HE693TFT510 and the HE693TFT511 offer the latest in flat-panel technology. The 10.4” active matrix
displays are housed in panel-mountable, NEMA 4-12 rated industrial enclosures. These displays feature VGA
resolution (640 X 480) with 256-color capability, and are compatible with standard PC-based devices which
support VGA monitors.
The TFT511 differs from the TFT510 in that it adds a high resolution touch screen. The TFT511 interfaces to the
RS-232 port and emulates a DOS or Windows mouse.

1. Power the computer up into Windows NT.
2. Insert the “Touch Screen Drivers for Windows NT” disk into drive A or B.
3. Click the Windows NT Start button, and select Run.
4. Type a:\setup in the space provided and press ENTER.
5. After reading the Wizard Setup screen thoroughly, click Next to proceed to the next screen.
6. Select the desired Destination Directory or click Next to accept the default path.
7. The following installation options will now appear: select Typical (default) or Custom installation
(to make additional changes). Select the appropriate option, then click Next when finished.
8. Select your Controller Type (serial) and Com Port (an available port on your machine), then click OK.
9. Since the setup of your computer has changed, your computer will need to be rebooted for the
changes to take effect.
10. After your machine reboots, select the Start button, Settings, and click on Control Panel.
11. Next select the Elo Touchscreen .
12. Select Drag, double-click option from the Touchscreen menu.
13. Click the Calibrate option in the upper right corner.
14. To calibrate the touchscreen, touch the targets on the screen.
15. When the Check Calibration screen appears, click the Yes option if the cursor jumps to your
finger tip otherwise click No and follow the on-screen directions.
16. When you return to the Touchscreen menu, click OK.
17. You will now be able to use your touchscreen display as well as the hand held mouse.

1. Power the computer up into Windows 95.

3. Click the Windows 95 Start button, and select Run.
4. Type a:\setup in the space provided and press ENTER.

MOUSE DRIVER INSTALLATION
1. Power the computer up in the DOS environment.
2. Install the “Touch Screen Drivers for DOS & Windows 3.1” disk into drive A or B.
3. At the C prompt (C:\) type A:\.
4. Once the prompt changes to A:\, type install and press the ENTER key.
5. When the Elo Touch Systems screen appears, press the ENTER key.
6. This screen consists of four installation steps, press the ENTER key to proceed forward.
7. Specify the path for your installation and press the ENTER key.
8. Select DOS Express Installation, for a DOS installation, or select Windows Express Installation, for a
Windows installation. Press the ENTER key to accept the default path.
9. At the Touchscreen Controller Interface screen, select Serial and press the ENTER key.
10. Select the serial port where the controller is connected, either Com 1 or 2 (whichever port is available) and
press the ENTERkey.
11. Select E271 2210 Accu-touch and press the ENTER key.
12. At the Testing For Controller screen, press the ENTER key.
13. After loading is complete, the next screen allows you to select a directory to store the files in, or press the
ENTER key to accept the default path.
14. Once the installation begins, you should be at the Update Batch Files screen. When the files are loaded,
press the ENTER key. Your computer will then revert to the C prompt (C:\) in DOS mode.
15. At this time, your computer will need to be rebooted. Simultaneously press the CONTROL,ALT,DELETE
keys to reboot.

PANEL MOUNTING
1. Cut the host panel as described in the drawing above.
2. From the front, insert the TFT through the panel cutout.
3. Align the 8 mounting screws of the display with (8) 0.1875” diameter cutouts on the panel.
4. Use (8) #6-32 thread nuts to secure the TFT into the panel cutout.
5. Tighten #6-32 thread nuts to form a tight seal. Begin by tightening the top and bottom nuts, then
the sides, and then the corners. Do not over tighten.
6. Connect the communication and power cables to the appropriate connectors.
