1. Seperatethevariouspackagingmaterialsanddisposeofsafely-
DONOTleavediscardedpackagingmaterialaroundthehome.
2. Afterremovingthepackaging,checktomakesureyourapplianceis
intact.Ifindoubt,contactaqualifiedprofessional.
3. DONOTuse extensionleadsandmultipleplugs.Iftheelectricity
supplywireisnotlongenough,thenhaveitreplacedwithoneofthe
correct length and remember that it should be free of bends or
dangerouskinks.
4. Intheeventofanydamagetothepowercordhaveitreplacedbya
qualifiedtechnician.
5. Themainsplugmustbeeasilyaccessibleafterinstallation.
6. Iftheapplianceisnotoperatingproperlyorifmaintenanceoperations
arenecessary,disconnectthedishwasherfromthemainspower

cycle.
10. Iftheappliancemalfunctions,turnoffthewaterinlettapand
disconnecttheplugfromthewallsocket.Thenreadthesection
entitled"Troubleshooting".Ifyoucannotresolvetheproblem,then
callHotpointService(seeKEYCONTACTS,backpage).
11. Cutleryandsharputensilsshouldalwaysbeinsertedinrandom
orderwiththebladespointingdownwards(takecarewithknife
blades).
12. Foryourownsafety,ensurethedoorisclosedwhenthe
dishwasherisnotinuse.
Installation must be performed by a qualified technician, in compliance with the regulations in force,
including the prevention and elimination of radio frequency interference.

Installation
Choosewhereyouwanttoinstall
yourdishwasher,youcanplaceit
sothatitssidesorbackpanelare
side by side with furniture or up
againstthewall.Thedishwasheris
providedwithwatersupplyanddrain
hoses, which can be directed
towardstheleftorrighttofacilitate
appropriateinstallation.
Levelling.
Oncetheapplianceispositioned,
adjustthefeetbyscrewingthemin
oroutdependingonhowhighyou
want it and to level it so that it is
horizontal.Makesurethatitisnot
inclinedmorethan2degrees.Ifthe
applianceislevel,itwill helpensure
itscorrectoperation.
Coldwaterconnection.
Connect the cold water supply
hose, and making sure that it is
fastened tightly in place . If the
waterhosesareneworhavebeen
outofuseforanextendedperiodof
time,letthewaterruntomakesure
it is clear and free of impurities
beforemakingtheconnection.Ifthis
precautionisnottaken,thewater
inlet could get blocked, causing
damagetoyourdishwasher.
Standpipe:
Ensurethatthehoseisnotpushed
toofardownthestandpipe.
Iftheendofyourdrainhoseisfitted
with‘retainingflaps’,ensuretheyare
insertedfullyintothestandpipe. This
willpreventthepipefromjumping
outduringinstallationanduse.
DO NOT position the standpipe
nearanelectricaloutlet.
ENSUREthatthedrainhoseisnot
kinkedanditisroutedasshownin
thediagram.
Thestandpipeshouldhaveabore
ofatleast38mm(11/2”).Itshould
beinstalledasshown,haveatrap
fittedandmustdischargeintothe
same drain system as your
householdsink.
It MUST NOT be connected to a
surfacewaterdrain.
SinkWasteSystem:
Forundersinkdrainage:
Beforeconnectingthedrainhose,
removeanyinternal restrictions-
Thiswillpreventabuildupofdebris
whichcouldcauseablockage.
Removeanyrestrictionsfromthe
wastespigotandensure thatthe
sealingbungisremoved.Thehose
should be routed, such that it is
raised to a minimum height of
800mm(31/2”).
NOTE:Ensurethesinkoutlet
pipehasaminimumdiamtereof
32mm.
1.UntietheendoftheGREY
drainagehosefromtherearofthe
appliance.
2.Repositionthe‘HookedEnd
Support’asrequiredalongthe
GREYdrainagehose.
3.Iffittinganundersinkwaste
disposalunit,cutoutthe
membrane,bungorblankingplug.
Ensurethedrainhoseis
securelyattached,topreventit
comingawaywhilethe
machineisinuseandcausing
aflood.
ConnecttotheWaterSupply...
-Foryourdishwasher tooperate
correctlyitrequireswaterpressures
in the range of 6-150 psi (100-
1000KPa).Mostcoldwatersupplies
willbeinthisrange.NOTE:lowwater
pressure will lead to excessively
longfilltimesornofill.
-Ensurethatthenewhosesupplied
is connected and the old hose is
disposedofsafely.
-Ensurethefillhoseisonlyfittedto
the cold water supply. DO NOT
overtighten the hose connector,
handtightissufficient.
-Ensurethefillhoseisnotkinked.
-Tapconnections(ifapplicable):A
rangeofadaptorsareavailableto
suityourtap.
-DONOTconnectthedishwasher
toasingleoutletinstantaneouswater
heateroranelectricheater.
Drainhoseconnection.
WARNING: Connect your
dishwasher drain hose to pipes
which connect to the foul drain
system and not to surface water
drains.
IMPORTANT: For the correct
operationofyourdishwasher,itis
essential to comply with the
followinginformation:
Rememberyou willbechargesforaservicecallisa problemwith
yourapplianceiscausedbyincorrectinstallationormisuse.

Your freestandingdishwasher canbeinstalledinmodernkitchensasfollows:
l to stand next to furniture units or other electric household appliances
(Pleasereadthechapteron “Installation”intheinstructionmanual.)
l to insert or built-in under the one worktop.
Shoulditbenecessarytoremovethetopshelfofthedishwasher,proceedasfollows:
–Unscrewthe2rearscrewsandthen,withalightpushforward,letitslideoutandremoveit(seefig.1)
–Discardthepolystyrenerectangle.
–Openthedoorand,afterunscrewingthefixingscrews,removethe3plasticplugsusedtohooktheshelfon(fig.2)
–Glueonthesmallsoundproofingadhesivespongystripontothetopcrosspiece(photo3)and,aftertiltingtheappliance,glue
onanotheroneunderneaththebase(photo4).
–Straightenuptheapplianceandadjustthefrontandbackfeetbyunscrewingtheminananti-clockwisedirectiontoraisethe
dishwashertotherequiredheight.
–Inserttheapplianceunderneaththeworktop(fig.5),checkingthattheinletandoutletpipesdonotgetbentorsquashed (please
readtheinstructionsprovidedinthe“Installation”chapter).
–Openthedishwasherdoorandglueonthetwoequal-sizedadhesivespongystripsonthefrontedgeoftheappliancecabinet.
Beginfromthetopwithoutleavingoutanyspacesandmakesurethestripsadhereallalongthelengthoftheedge.Asmallpart
ofthespongystripprotrudingontotheoutsidewillblockanylightleftbetweenthedishwasherandadjacentcabinets,thus
improvingthesoundproofing.
Warning:
Thedishwasherplugmustbewithinaccessoncetheappliancehasbeenbuiltin,inordertoallowformaintenancetobecarried
outsafely.
Thestructureofyourdishwashermakesitimpossibletofititunderahob.

Rinse aid.
Rinse aid makes dishes sparkle
moreasitimprovestheirdrying.The
rinseaidcontainerissituatedonthe
insideofthedoor.
Youshouldfilltherinseaidcontainer
whenindicatorDlightsupon the
container(seeright)andtherinse
aidindicatorlight"U"onthecontrol
panelflashes.
Addingrinseaid.
Toopenthedispenser,turncapC
anticlockwise.Takecarewhenyou
pour in the rinse aid to avoid it
overflowing.
The detergent
Eachtimeyouloadthedishwasher,
adddetergergent.Pourdishwasher
detergentintothedispenseronthe
insideofthedoor.
Addingdetergent
ToopenlidA,pressbuttonB.
Thedetergentshouldbeputintothe
twocontainersCandD.
Ifusingatablet,putitincontainer
"D".
Nowyoucanclosethelid:pressit
downuntilyouhearitclick.
Ifit won'tclose
Check whether there is any
detergentresidueontheedgesof
thedispenser.Removetheexcess.
Youcanregulatetheamountofrinseaidusedbythedishwasher,
movetheadjusterFwhichyouwillfindunderlidC.
You can choose from six different positions. It is normally set to 4.
Before Using your Dishwasher

Warning
Three-in-one dishwasher tablets are now available on the market, and combine detergent, salt and rinse aid all in one.
If the water in your area is hard or very hard, we still recommend you pour extra salt into the relevant dispenser to prevent the
formation of white streaks on your dishes or on the interior of the appliance.
Using a three-in-one product means it is no longer necessary to put rinse aid into the relevant container.
If you want to achieve perfectly dry dishes, you may add rinse aid as long as the dosage adjuster is set to no.2.
In any case, please read the manufacturer's instructions on the packet.
If you use only these products, it is normal for the salt and rinse aid indicator lights to flash permanently after a certain number of
cycles.

Before Using your Dishwasher
Adjustingthewatersoftener.
Waterhardnessvariesaccording
towhereyoulive.Ifthewaterinyour
homeishard,withoutwatersoften-
ing,incrustationswouldformonyour
dishes. Your dishwasher is fitted
witha water softenerwhich uses
specialsalttogetridoflimescalein
thewater.
Yourdishwashercanadjustitssalt
consumptionaccordingtothehard-
nessofthewaterinyourhome.This
way,youcanoptimiseandcustom-
ise your dishwasher's salt con-
sumption.
Toadjustsaltconsumption,doas
follows:
1.Unscrewthesaltcontainercap
2.Thereisanarrowontheneckof
the container (see figure): if
necessary,turnthearrowanti-
clockwise from the "-" setting
to the "+" setting.
Select the arrow position
depending on the water
hardness,referringtothetable.
To prevent rust
from forming, load
the salt just before
beginning a wash
cycle.

You don't know how hard the water in your
home is? Ask the company that supplies
water in your area.

Alwaysusesaltwhichisintendedfordishwasheruse.
Thesaltcontainerissituatedunderneaththe lower basket,fillitupas
follows:
1.Pulloutthelowerbasketcompletely,unscrewandremovethecontainer
cap
2.Ifitisthefirsttimeyouaddthesalt,firstfillthecontainerupwithwater
(youwon'thavetodothisagainnexttime)
3.Putthedishwasherfunnelontheholeandpourinapproximatelytwo
kilosofsalt.Itisnormalthatsomewatercomesoutofthecontainer.
4.Screwthecapbackinplacecarefully.
When to add salt:
Thesaltcontainershouldbefilledupwhenthelowsaltindicatorlight“T”
flashesonthecontrolpanel.
Whenyouhaveloadedsaltforthefirsttime,itisnormalforthelowsalt
indicatorlighttostayonforatleast5consecutivecycles.
Salt
IMPORTANT:
Only use recommended dish-
washer salt. DO NOT use
everydaytablesalt,cookingsalt,
as they containe insoluable
substanceswhichcouldharmthe
dishwasher.
WARNING:
DONOTpourdetergentintothespecialsaltcontainer.

Loading your Dishwasher
What goes into the lower
basket?
Werecommendyouplacethemost
difficultdishestowashintothelower
basket: saucepans, lids, soup
dishesandplates(aloadexample
isshowninthephoto).
• Servingdishesandlargelids:
placethemonthesidesofthe
basket.
• Saucepans,saladbowls:must
alwaysbeplacedupsidedown
• Verydeepdishes:placethem
obliquely,thusallowingwaterto
run down them and cleaning
thembetter
• Glasses and cups: position
themasshowninloadexample
photo.
Thecutlerybasketscanbesplitup
bypullingoutthehandle.
Whenyou onlyhavealittlecutlery
towashyoucanuse just half the
basket, save space for other
crockeryorplacetheotherhalfin
the upper basket instead (see
figuresAandB).
Thisbasketisequippedwithtwo
removablegrids.Cutleryandsharp
utensilsshouldalwaysbeinserted
in random order with the blades
pointingdownwards(takecarewith
knifeblades).Positionthemsothat
theydon’ttouch.
There are two handles on the sides
of the upper basket, use these to
adjust its height (see fig.C).
What goes into the upper
basket?
Placedelicateandlightweightdishes
in the upper basket: glasses, tea
cupsandcoffeecups,saucersand
plates-shallowsaladbowls,slightly
dirtyfryingpansandshallowpans.
Positionlightweightdishesinsucha
wayastoavoidtheirbeingmoved
bythesprayofwater.
The dishwasher can also be
equipped with one or two tip up
compartmentsontowhichyoucan
place mugs and cups, as well as
long sharp knives and serving
cutlery.
Afterloadingthedishes,remember
tocheckthatthe spray armscan
turnfreelywithouthittingagainstany
dishes.
First of all.
Before placing dishes in the
baskets,removeallcoursefood
remains.Thisavoidsblockingthe
filter, which would reduce the
efficiencyofthewash.
Ifsaucepansandfryingpansare
verydirty,allowthemtosoakbefore
beingwashed.
To make it easier to load your
dishes,pullthebasketsout.
Multisystem baskets
Thedishwasherisfittedwithupper,
lowerandcutlerybaskets.They
providegreaterflexibilityforloading
dishes,makingthemmoresuitable
foryourspecificneeds.
The basket handles can be
removedforcleaning.Pulloutthe
twofasteningplugs,remove the
handlesandrinseunderrunning
water.Replacethehandlesfixing
theminplacewiththetwofastening
plugs.

What can I Wash Items not suitable for the dishwasher:
•Cutleryandtablewaremadefromwoodorpartwood-Theymaybecomefadedandunsightlyinappearance.
•Avoidwashinghornhandledandbronzecutleryinthemachine.
•Delicate/decorativeglasswareandvases,specialantiqueorirreplaceablechina-thedecorativepatterns
printedontheseitemswillnotbedishwasherproof.
•Plasticobjectsthatarenotresistanttohotwater.
•CopperandPewterutensils.AluminiumandSilverobjects.
•Sometypesofglasscanbecomeopaqueinappearanceaftertheyhavebeenwashedtoomanytimesina
dishwasher.
•Highlyabsorbentmaterialssuchasspongesandtowelsshouldneverbeplacedinadishwasher.
• Ifinanydoubt,checkwiththemanufactureronitemssuitabilityfordishwasher’s.
WARNING: Dishes or cutlery soiled with tobacco ash, wax, lubricating grease or paint should not be
put in the dishwasher.
Our recommendation: In future, only purchase table or kitchenware
that has been confirmed - dishwasher proof.
