AT-BT10 Snap Mount Kit

Introduction
The AT-BT10 Snap Mount Kit includes 25 plastic mounting brackets for installing your BT10 Series
devices to mobile objects using a zip tie, or use screws to attach them flat surfaces.
Refer to the following section for complete installation instructions.
Installing the AT-BT10 Snap Mount
Before installing your AT-BT10 Snap Mount, ensure that the installation location does not come into
contact with other objects that may cause damage to this mount or the device.
To mount this kit to a flat surface, refer to Mounting to a flat surface.
To mount this kit to an object using a zip tie, refer to Mounting with a zip tie.
Mounting to a flat surface
1. Choose the desired location for installation, then mark and pre-drill a pilot hole.
2. Align the hole at the center of the plastic bracket with the pre-drilled hole in the mounting surface,
then screw it into place.
Mounting with a zip tie
1. Choose the desired location for your installation, making sure that your zip tie is the correct length
and width.
2. Position the plastic mounting bracket vertically so that the arrow located on the front of the
bracket points up, then thread the zip tie through the openings located on the sides of the
bracket. The zip tie should align horizontally after inserted into the mount. See Figure 1.

Screws and zip ties are not provided in this kit. The type/size of these items vary depending upon
the mounting surface. The recommended screw for this kit is a #4 flat head screw.

3. Place the plastic mounting bracket flat against the surface of the mounting surface, wrap both
ends of the zip tie around the object. Insert the small end into the larger locking end and pull it
through. Adjust the position of the mount if necessary, then pull the small end of the zip tie until it
is firmly fastened around the object.
4. Activate the device, insert a coin into the indention located at the center of the rear panel, then
turn clockwise until the indicator arrow is aligned with the “I” marking. See 3..

5. Insert the device into the plastic bracket. See Figure 3.

6. (Optional) Once the device is securely fastened to the mount, insert a second zip tie through the
holes located on the top and bottom of the bracket to lock the device into the mount. Insert the
small end into the larger locking end and pull it through to lock the device into the mount.
