SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
RISK OF ELECTROCUTION!
Connect the appliance only to wall sockets
supplying the current strength detailed on
the model plate.
Under no circumstances may the
appliance be submersed in uids or
uids be allowed to permeate the
housing. Do not expose the appliance
to humidity and do not use it outdoors.
Should liquids enter the housing,
unplug the appliance from the power
socket immediately and arrange for it to
be repaired by a qualied technician.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Never use the appliance near water,
particularly not near sinks, baths or
other vessels. The proximity of moisture
presents a danger, even when the
appliance is switched off.
After use, always remove the plug from
the power socket. As additional
protection, the installation of a faulty-
current protection unit with an
activation power rating of not more
than (30 mA) is recommended for the
power circuit in the bathroom. Ask
your electrician for advice.
• In the event of operating malfunctions and
before cleaning the appliance, remove the
power plug from the wall socket.
• Disconnect the appliance by pulling on the
plug, not on the power cable.
• Do not wrap the power cable around the
appliance to protect it from being damaged.
• To avoid risks, arrange for defective
power cables and/or plugs to be replaced
immediately by qualied technicians.
• Do not pinch or squeeze the power cord
and lay it in such a way that no one can
tread on or trip over it.
• In order to disconnect the appliance
quickly, do not use extension cables.
• NEVER grasp the appliance, power cable
or power plug with wet hands.
• Unplug the appliance immediately after
use. The appliance is completely free of
electrical power ONLY when unplugged.

This appliance is not intended for use

intellectual abilities or deciencies in
experience and/or knowledge unless they
are supervised by a person responsible
for their safety or receive from this person
instruction on how the appliance is to be

the appliance.

INTENDED USE
The htz Hot Teaze Volumizer is intended for the
volumizing and shaping of human hair. Under
no circumstances may it be used for wigs and
hairpieces made of synthetic material.
The htz Hot Teaze Volumizer is intended for
domestic use only. Pay heed to the information
in this operating manual, especially the safety
instructions.

• The hair should be completely dry.
• Comb the hair before use so that the htz
Hot Teaze can move easily through the hair.
• To achieve rm results apply supplied
htz Root Lift Spray to the roots only.
• No sectioning required.

OPERATION

PREPARATION
Note:
The ceramic plates must be free of
contamination. If necessary, clean them
before use (see cleaning section).
1. Insert the power plug into a wall socket.
2. Press the on/off switch until the control
lamp glows.
3. Set the desired temperature with the
rotary controller:
• Suit Dial from level 1: ne hair
• Suit Dial from level 5: normal hair
• Suit Dial from level 7: coarse or thick hair
CREATING VOLUME
• Before you begin apply supplied
htz Root Lift Spray
• Spray to the roots and lightly comb
• Using one hand slide all four ngers
through the roots of the hair and lift the
hair out creating space for the htz Hot Teaze.
• Using your other hand easily slide the htz
Hot Teaze through the area 3-4 times,
clamping the hair for approximately
3 seconds each time.
NOTE: Time may vary depending on the
thickness/strength of hair.
• WARNING! If plates are too hot there
is a risk of burning your scalp.
ATTENTION!
Avoid doing around the face line and
where the hair parts. Ensure the
htz Hot Teaze Volumizer plate DOES NOT
make contact with the skin of the
head. Risk of burns.
• Repeat the process over the whole head
or just in the areas that require lift.
• The more you slide the htz Hot Teaze in,
the more volume you will get.
• If the htz Hot Teaze is too hot adjust the
temperature dial to suit.
NOTE
If you have just washed your hair, you may use
a styling moose or the htz Root Lift Spray,
but be careful not to use a product that is too
sticky as this will clog up your htz Hot Teaze,
and make it harder to slide through the
hair. It is not necessary to use a lot of heavy
products that weigh down the hair. The htz
Root Lift Spray is light and will give a crisp
effect, allowing the htz Hot Teaze to do the work.
If you are just rejuvenating your hair style, it is
not necessary to re-apply the htz Root Lift Spray.
Slide the htz Hot Teaze into the Protective Tip for safety:
ATTENTION!
Never wrap the power cable with plug
around the appliance.
• Unplug appliance when not in use.
• Allow the unit to completely cool down
before storing.
• Store in dry location and away from children.
• Do not wrap cord around the appliance as this
may cause the cord to wear.
• Regularly check appliance for wear and damage,
particularly to cord and plug.
• WARNING! If malfunction occurs, do not
attempt to repair. The appliance has no
user-serviceable parts.

• Always allow the appliance to cool down
completely before cleaning it.

ATTENTION!
Remove the power plug from the
wall socket. Risk of electric shock!
• Wipe the housing and the ceramic plates
with a soft and lightly moistened cloth.
• In cases of stubborn soiling, use some
mild detergent on the moistened cloth.
Note:
Do not use aggressive or abrasive
cleaning agents. These could attack
the surfaces and irreparably damage
the appliance.
Note:
Do not use the appliance until it has
completely dried.

Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Should your appliance require servicing under
this guarantee the appliance, together with your
receipt for your purchase are to be returned to the
place of purchase.
The warranty covers only material or
manufacturing faults, not normal wear or damage
to fragile parts such as switches or dials.
The appliance is intended solely for private,
not commercial use. If this product has been
subjected to improper or inappropriate handling,
abuse, or interventions not carried out by one
of our authorized sales and service outlets, the
warranty will be considered void. This warranty
does not affect your statutory rights. This
warranty applies only to the initial purchaser and
is non-transferable.
