1 Security Precautions
Before installing and using the device, please read the documents and comply with it strictly.
Misoperation of the electric products may lead to fire, hurting person seriously. For keeping
accident away, please pay attention to the following precautions.
Basic Requirements
lInstall the device according to the vendor's requirements.
lDo not disassemble the device. Contact the specified maintenance station if faults occur on
the device.
lAny company or person cannot change the design of the structure, security, or performance
without permission.
lComply with related laws and regulations and respect legal rights of others when using this
device.
Power Requirements
lThis product must comply with local electric security standards and use power adapters
that mark with the LPS standard.
lUse the accessories intended for the device and the components recommended by the
vendor such as power adapter and battery. The supply voltage must meet the input voltage
requirement of the device.
lDo not power on the device during the installation. Stop using and power off the device
before inserting or removing device cables.
lBefore powering on the device, verify that the power cable is connected properly.
lKeep the power connector clean and dry to prevent electric shocks and other potential risks.
Usage Notices
lKeep the device dry and prevent any violent collision when transporting, storing, and
installing the device. The warranty does not cover any failure of the device due to improper
transportation.
lDo not install the device upside down. Do not squeeze the device. Move the device chip
gently.

lDo not dismantle the device. Contact specially trained maintenance personnel to check and
dismantle the device.
lDo not scratch or abrade the device shell. The shed painting may lead to skin allergies or
device malfunctions.
lStop using and power off the device if an exception, such as smoking, abnormal sound or
smell, occurs. Disconnect all cables.
lContact the specified maintenance station if faults occur on the device.
Cleaning Notices
lStop using and power off the device and disconnect all cables before cleaning.
lUse a soft cloth to wipe out the dust on the device. Add little neutral detergent if necessary.
lDo not clean the device with strong and abrasive alkaline cleaner or volatile solvent such
as alcohol, benzene or thinner. These liquids may damage the surface coating or deteriorate
the device performance.
Environment Requirements
lKeep the device away from water or any other liquids. If any liquids infiltrate the device,
power off the device and disconnect all cables immediately.
lKeep the device dry and prevent any violent collision when transporting, storing, and
installing the device.
lKeep the device away from heat sources and fire, such as, radiators or candles.
lKeep the device away from flammables, explosives, and heat sources and fire such as
heating apparatus or candles.
lDeploy surge protection devices if the device is installed outside.
lWhen working high above the ground, take security measures, such as wearing helmets
and safety belts and choosing.
Personnel Requirement
Installation and maintenance must be performed by professional technical engineers.

2.1 Appearance

2.2 Cables
Before you start, check the package contents and make sure that the device in the package is in
good condition and all the assembly parts are included.
NOTE
Do not drag the waterproof cables, otherwise the waterproof performance is affected.
Please make sure the power of the dome is off before connecting the cables.
The cable interfaces of speed dome are shown in the following figure. The cables of network,
power supply, etc. are distinguished by different colors. Please refer to the labels attached on
the cables for identification.

2.3 Reset Button
NOTICE
The Reset button is posited on the mainboard inside of the speed dome for the use of device
maintenance. Professionals are required for disassembling the speed dome and rationally
operating on the reset button. For any of the device damage, data loss, or performance
degradation caused by unauthorized demolition, the company assumes no responsibility.
Press the reset button about 10s when the speed dome is power on or rebooting to restore the
default settings.
lReset button of 5-inch speed dome
Lossen the screws on both sides of the speed dome and remove the lower dome. The position
of the reset button is shown in Figure 2-5.

lReset button of IR speed dome
Loosen the screws 3 (4 screws) on the speed dome and remove the back cover (part 1) of
the speed dome (part 2). The position of reset button of the IR speed dome is shown in
Figure 2-6.

2.4 Alarm Input and Output Connection
The network speed dome can be connected with alarm inputs (0~5 VDC)

Figure 2-7 Alarm Out Connections
The alarm provides the relay output, and the external power supply is required when it connects
to the alarm device.
lFor DC power supply (left diagram), the input voltage must be no more than 30VDC, 1A.
lFor AC power supply, the external relay must be used (right diagram) to prevent damages
to the speed dome and avoid risk of electric shock.

3 Installation
3.1 Preparation
Basic Requirement
lAll the electronic operation should be strictly compliance with the electrical safety
regulations, fire prevention regulations and other related regulations in your local region.
lCheck the package contents and make sure that the device in the package is in good
condition and all the assembly parts are included.
Checking Installing Environment
lBe sure that there is enough space to install the speed dome and accessories.
lMake sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand at least 8 times the weight of the
dome and the mount.
Preparing Cables
lAccording to the actual network bandwidth, the Cat5 (in 100M) or Cat6(100M above) is
needed.
lWhen the Positioning System uses standard 24V AC power supply, the power cable should
be American wire gauge 18 or above. The formula of the cross-section S (mm²) and the
maximum transmission distance L (m) of the bare wire is L=50*S.
Preparing Tools
Before installation, please prepare the tools needed, such as the expansion screws, electric
hammer, electric drill, wrench, screwdriver, electroprobe and network cable.
Original Packaging
When you unpack the dome, please keep the original package properly, in case of returning or
repairing the camera, you can pack the dome with the package.
NOTE
The user should be responsible for any damage caused when transporting with unoriginal package.

3.2 Outdoor Mounting
3.2.1 Wiring
The survey of the actual installation environment and planning the wiring is highly recommended
before the accurate deployment of the wire is implemented in order to provide a safe and steady
power supply and a reasonable wiring route.
lGet familiar with the installation environment before deploying the wire, including the
wiring distance, surrounding, and electromagnetic interference and so on.
lPlease choose the cable with nominal voltage higher than the actual voltage, to ensure a
normal running in case of unsteady voltage.
lTo protect the power cable and the signal transmitting cable from human tampering, you
should pay attention to the protection and reinforcement of the cables.
lWhen deploying the wire, please do not tighten the wire or make the wire loose.
The wiring of the dome camera should be performed by professionals.
3.2.2 Wall Mount Installation
NOTE
The speed dome can be installed to a thread interface or non-thread interface mount. The non-thread mount
is highly recommended.
When you select a thread mount, please install the pendent adapter(supplied) between the mount and speed
dome. Any mismatch problems shall be taken responsibility by the user.
The dimension of pendant adapter is G1.
There are several ways to install the speed dome. In this guide, the non-thread wall mount
installation is taken as an example. Refer to the following steps for details:
Step 1 Get the wall mount and screws from the packing box as shown follows.

Step 2 Drill 4 φ12 screw holes in the wall according to the hole locations of the mount, and then insert
M8 expansion screws into the screw holes.

NOTE
lFor cement wall, you need to use the expansion screw to fix the mount.
lFor wooden wall, you can just use the self-tapping screw to fix the mount.
lPlease make sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand at least 8 times the weight of the dome
and the mount.
lThe wall must be thick enough to mount the expansion screws.

Step 3 Secure the wall mount with 4 hex nuts and washers.

3.2.3 Pole Mount Installation
The components of pole mounting are show as follows.

lPole Adapter
A pole adapter has to be used together with a wall mount for pole mounting applications.

lPole Mounting Hoops
Pole mounting hoop is used for pole mounting with pole adapter and wall mount. There
are following dimensions selectable: φ59-82mm, φ84-108mm, φ103-127mm,
φ130-152mm, φ155-178mm, φ180-203mm and φ194-216mm. Dimensions can be
customized according to your demand.
NOTE
The dimensions of the pole mounting hoop must match with the diameter of the pole adapter.

Step 1 Assemble the pole adapter.
lLoosen the three pole mounting hoops with a screwdriver.
lInsert them through the rectangle holes of the pole adapter.

Step 2 Install the pole adapter.
1. Pull the control wire, video cable and power cable through the center hole.
2. Secure the three pole mounting hoops to the pole, and tighten the screws of the hoops with
a screwdriver.

NOTE
For outdoor applications, please adopt the water-proof measures.
Step 3 Install the wall mount.
lAttach the gasket then wall mount to the pole adapter.
lSecure the wall mount to the pole adapter with 4 hex screws and the spring washers.

3.2.4 Speed Dome Installation
5-inch Speed Dome
Before you start, please turn off the power of the speed dome before connecting the cables.
NOTE
lPlease remove the protective film on the lower dome after the installation is finished.
lDo not touch the bubble of the lower dome directly by hand. The image blurs otherwise.
lRemove the protective lens cover, foam and sticker from the dome drive.
Step 1 Loosen the two lock screws as shown in the following figure.
Step 2 Remove the lower dome.

NOTE
When loosening the lock screws, keeps the speed dome being inverted. Otherwise the spacers of lock screws
may drop into the speed dome.
Step 3 Remove the protective lens cover, foam and sticker as shown in the following figure.

Step 4 Install the micro SD card.
Insert the micro SD card to the SD card slot in the correct direction. The SD card slot is on the
bottom of camera module. Be sure that the SD card is clicked into place.
Step 5 Install the lower dome back and tighten the two lock screws.
Step 6 Hook the two ends of the safety rope to the back box of the speed dome and the wall mount
respectively. Route the cables through the mount as shown follows.

Step 7 Loosen the lock screws on the wall mount as shown below.
Step 8 Align the speed dome with wall mount and rotate it counterclockwise or clockwise to the mount
tightly as shown below.
