Connecting & Disconnecting the Gas Cylinder
LP (Propane) and Butane Gas Supply Connection &Disconnection (for UK)
1. Connecting on the gas cylinder. Make sure that: all taps of the
consuming appliance are closed. The connecting pipe to the
consuming appliance is correctly fitted. The regulator handle is in
the off position. With no flame on, remove the seal cap from the
automatic valve, place the appliance onto the valve and push
down firmly and vertically. You should hear a “click” sound which
means the regulator is securely latched.
2. Operation. Once the appliance is correctly mounted on the valve,
gas supply is possible by turning the regulator handle upwards. To
shut off the gas supply reverse above procedure. An arrow
engraved on the handle indicates the closing direction. Caution: if
you are unable to turn the regulator handle to the “on” position, this
means that your appliance is not correctly connected to the valve.
Do not force the handle to open, and restart the operations above.
3. Exchange of a cylinder. Make sure that: all taps on the gas
consuming appliance in the “ off ” position. The regulator handle is
in the “off” position. Then, dismount the appliance by pressing
horizontally on the button and pulling upwards at the same time.
4. Operation of excess flow check device. The regulator can be
fitted with a safety device designed to automatically limit the gas
escape in case of separation or rupture of the pipe that supplies
gas to the consuming appliance.
IMPORTANT: The regulator is never to be left on the cylinder
without its being connected to the consuming appliance, as the
tear-off proof safety is not designed to ensure the operation of the
cylinder valve.
LP (Propane) and Butane Gas Supply Connection &Disconnection (for Iceland)
1) Fitting and operating conditions
‐The A310/A300 is a household regulator designed to supply gas to gas consuming appliances at a
pressure and capacity as indicated on the identification label(1).
‐The A310/A300 can be fitted to any cylinder equipped with a cylinder valve with hand operated closure
ButtonHandle
OFF
ON

19
(9).The gas cylinder must always be used in the upright position.
‐Whenever used outdoors, the A310/A300 must be suitably protected against rain.
‐Never look for leaks using a flame, just use a soapy-water solution.
‐In case of any difficulties or problems. Shut off the gas supply and contact your dealer immediately.
‐Should a leak catch fire prematurely before you can close the cylinder valves (2), then use a wet cloth to
close the cylinder valve.
2) Assembly on the gas cylinder make sure that:
‐All taps on the consuming appliance are closed.
‐The connecting pipe to the gas appliance is correctly fitted.
In total absence of any flame, remove the plug or seal cap from the
cylinder valve. After checking the presence and the good state of the
gasket (8), tighten the union nut (9) by screwing up in the direction
indicated by the arrow (10).The union nut should be tightened
moderately. Nevertheless sufficiently to ensure a leak-tight joint
which must be checked by using a soapy-water solution. Hold the
regulator and turn the union nut, the regulator itself is never to be
rotated.
3) Plant Operation
Once the A310/A300 has been correctly mounted on cylinder valve.
The gas supply occurs by turning the valve hand wheel in the
direction shown by the arrow (11).To shut off the gas supply ,reverse
above procedure.
4) Replacing the gas cylinder
Make sure that:
‐All taps on the consuming appliance are in the closed position.
‐The cylinder valve is closed.
Then, dismount the A310/A300 by unscrewing the union nut (9).
DANGER
To prevent fire or explosion hazard when testing for a leak:
1.
Always perform the “leak test“ as below before lighting the grill and each time the cylinder is connected for use.
2.
Do not smoke or allow other sources of ignition in the area while conducting a leak test.
3.
Conduct the leak test outdoors in a well-ventilatedarea.
4.
Do not use matches, lighters or a flame to check for leaks.
5.
Do not use grill until all leaks have been stopped. If you are unable to stop a leak, disconnect the propane or
butane supply,
call forgas applianceservice or your local gassupplier.
Checking for Leaks
1.
Make 2-3 oz. of leak solution by mixing one part liquid dishwashing
soap with three parts water.
2.
