ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT! WRITE MODEL NUMBER FROM BOX ONTO
PAGE 1 OF THIS OWNERS MANUAL
1.
Mark midd e and bottom po e sections indicated distance with tape.
2. Make sure ground is eve with p aying surface, then dig po e ho e.
WARNING: CONTACT UTILITIES BEFORE DIGGING.
NOTE: Maximum distance from edge of ho e to edge of p aying surface
6” (15.2 cm).
WARNING: THIS HOLE SIZE REPRESENTS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
FOR IDEAL CONDITIONS. THE LOCATION (HILL/INCLINE) OF THE POLE,
SOIL CONDITIONS (SAND/CLAY) AND OTHER FACTORS COULD REQUIRE A
LARGER HOLE SIZE AND CONCRETE FOOTING.
3. Insert and secure bottom po e section (3) into ground s eeve (4).
4. Fi ho e approximate y 1/3 fu with concrete. Insert ground s eeve assemb y and
center in ho e. Fi ho e comp ete y with concrete.
NOTE: Make sure that bottom of ground s eeve f ange is eve with p aying surface.
5. Tamp down concrete to re ease air pockets and bui d drainage hi . Leve po e
section in a directions severa times whi e concrete is curing.
NOTE A: Mark here for tape.
NOTE B: Keep f ange pushed down to concrete and eve ed.
IMPORTANT! Wait minimum of 24 hours before going on to next step.
Concrete must cure.
6. After concrete has cured, remove bottom po e section from ground s eeve (4). P ace
anti-skid tape (6) around bottom of po e.
NOTE A: P ace top edge of tape on mark.
NOTE B: Tape prevents the po e from rotating during p ay.
7. Insta ground s eeve cap (5) onto bottom po e section. Stack and bounce bottom
and midd e po e sections together. Bounce po e sections together unti midd e
section no onger moves toward taped reference mark.
8. Stack upper po e section (1) to bottom po e assemb y and continue bouncing unti
po es no onger move toward taped reference marks.
IMPORTANT! Pole sections should have a 3-3/4” (9.5 CM) minimum overlap.
9. Snap tinnerman nut (7) onto inner channe (8). P ace inner channe into outer
channe (9) as shown.
10. S ide hand e (10) into position as shown and secure with bo ts (11), washers (12),
and nuts (13). Tighten comp ete y.
11. Insta bo t (14), washers (12), and nut (15) as shown.
NOTE: Tighten unti washers (12) are no onger oose. Assemb e trigger (16) to
hand e assemb y as shown and secure with bo t (17) and washer (12). Tighten
comp ete y.
12. Insta trigger return spring (18) to hand e assemb y (8, 9) as shown.
WARNING: USE EYE PROTECTION WHEN INSTALLING SPRINGS.
13. Attach ogo abe s (19) to inner channe (8).
14. Attach spring (22) to pins (21) and insta pins (21) onto po e mount bracket (23).
15. Attach other spring (22) to opposite side. NOTE: Gent y en arge eye ets of spring
with p iers if springs do not fit over pins.
WARNING: USE EYE PROTECTION WHEN INSTALLING SPRINGS.
16. Insta po e mount assemb y with carriage bo ts (24), reinforcement bracket (31) as
shown. Tighten f ange nuts (13) comp ete y.
17. Push back s iding pin (21) as shown in Figure A to fit adjustab e system assemb y
through po e mount assemb y. Then attach spring covers (25, 26) onto po e mount
bracket (23) with bo t (27), and nut (13) as shown in Figure B.
18. Insta spacers (28) and springs (38) onto backboard brackets (29) with
bo ts (30, 43), washers (47) and ock-nuts (15, 32) as shown.
IMPORTANT! It is necessar for all parts to be installed for this mechanism to
work safel and properl .
19. Assemb e e evator tubes (33, 34) as shown. Tighten comp ete y. Bend bracket (29)
to ine up with ho es in backboard.
IMPORTANT! Test fit bolts into holes of brackets (29) and carefull rock them
in a circular motion to ream out paint from holes if necessar .
20. Support po e on sawhorse. Attach backboard assemb y to top po e section (1).
NOTE: Two peop e are recommended for this step, use caution, e evator assemb y
is heavy.
21. Insta hand e assemb y to ower e evator tubes (34) using bo t (35), spacers (37),
and nut (36) as shown. NOTE: Before going on to next step, adjust adjustab e
system assemb y to the 10’ setting.
22. Insert bo t (35) through eft side upper e evator tube (33), then stretch spring (38)
onto bo t (35). Insert bo t (35) through right side upper e evator tube (33) and secure
with nut (36).
WARNING: USE EYE PROTECTION WHEN INSTALLING SPRINGS.
23. P ace re-bar (36” section - not inc uded) into bottom po e section (3) as shown.
Secure po e end with tape (not inc uded) to retain re-bar inside the bottom po e
section (3).
NOTE: Make sure that concrete does not bu ge from the end of po e assemb y. Fi
po e with concrete approximate y 1” (2.54 cm) be ow bottom ho e as shown. A ow
concrete to comp ete y cure.
IMPORTANT! Failure to fill our pole completel with concrete as described
in these instructions will void all warranties written and implied.
IMPORTANT! Wait minimum of 24 hours before going on to next step.
Concrete must cure.
24. Remove tape, insta po e cap (45), fit po e assemb y into s eeve (4).
IMPORTANT! Position pole section so the elevator assembl is perpendicular
with pla ing surface.
WARNING: TWO PEOPLE ARE RECOMMENDED FOR THIS STEP. POLE
FILLED WITH CONCRETE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 125 LBS. (56.7 KG). USE
PROPER PRECAUTION.
IMPORTANT! The elevator holes MUST be parallel with pla ing surface.
25. Use wedge to tap cap of ground s eeve unti tight.
26. Insta rim (40) to backboard as shown. NOTE: Mounting nuts and bo ts supp ied
with rim hardware.
WARNING: TWO PEOPLE ARE NECESSARY TO MOUNT BACKBOARD
ASSEMBLY TO THE POLE. ONE PERSON SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO DO
THIS ALONE.
WARNING: MOUNTING THE BACKBOARD ASSEMBLY TO THE POLE IS
PERFORMED AT AN ELEVATED HEIGHT. USE PROPER PRECAUTION.
27. App y height adjustment abe (45) to front of po e as shown.
28. Grasp hand e and depress ever.
WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO ADJUST HEIGHT.
29. Push toward po e whi e ho ding ever. Raise or ower ever to desired height whi e
pushing forward on hand e.
30. Re ease hand e making sure that horizonta pin (21) is ocked into s ot.
WARNING: USE OF THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT PROPER INSTALLATION OF
SMART CLIPS, OR WHEN ALL SMART CLIPS ARE NOT PRESENT COULD
RESULT IN BODILY HARM. BE SURE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY.
