This guide will help you get started using and enjoying its air- and surface-sanitizing benefits.
Important Safety Instructions
RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY
●Do not use outdoors, in moist areas or on wet surfaces.
●Do not allow any foreign objects to enter the air intake or outlet. Do not place any object over the air
intake or outlet.
●Do not attempt to service or repair the unit yourself.
●Do not handle the unit or plug with wet hands.
●Do not pull on the power cord to unplug the unit. To unplug, grasp the power adapter close to the wall,
not the cord.
●Do not use with damaged power cord or plug. If appliance has not been working properly, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, call HypoAir Customer Service at (949) 791-9404.

●WARNING UV LIGHT HAZARD. Harmful to skin and eyes. Can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision.
Never look at the lamp while illuminated. To prevent exposure to UV light, be sure the power is
disconnected before servicing. AHPCO cell has been designed to minimize exposure to UV light while the
cover is in place.
●UV lamp contains mercury and should be disposed of according to disposal laws. Find disposal centers at
www.earth911.com
●UV lamp may be hot and could cause serious burns. Allow lamp to cool before removing AHPCO cell from
appliance. Never touch UV lamp. Oils from your skin can cause lamp to break while illuminated.
Quick Setup Instructions
Using your Boomerang is simple.
1. Remove unit from packaging and place on a countertop or mount on a wall
2. Plug unit in using the included 12V power adapter
3. Rock the switch to the on position & enjoy fresh clean air.
Placement and Operation
The Boomerang Air Sanitizer is intended for spaces between 400 and 2400 square
feet. For best results the unit should be placed in a central location and four feet or
higher from the ground. The unit can be placed on a countertop or wall mounted.
Some helpful suggestions have been included below. In areas above 2400 square feet
or with a closed floor plan, multiple units may be needed.
Mount the unit pointing down to combat odors and contaminants close to the floor,
such as a trash can or litter box. Mount the unit pointing up to combat odors and
contaminants close to the ceiling, such as cooking vapors and cigarette smoke.
Mounting Directions
Optional wall mounting is simple.
1. Place (2) #8 screws 10.5” apart in the desired mounting location.
Use wall anchors when mounting to drywall or hollow walls.
2. Leave the screw heads protruding ¼” from the wall.
3. Place mounting holes over the screw heads.
4. Slide the unit down to secure into the mounting slots.
Simple Routine Maintenance
Cleaning Your Boomerang & Polar Ionizers
Use a damp cloth or compressed air to remove any dust from the outside of the unit or the polar ionizers. Never use
abrasive materials or harsh cleaners. Never spray cleaner or water directly on or inside unit.
AHPCO Cell Replacement
The Boomerang Air Sanitizer contains a replaceable AHPCO Cell which should be replaced at least every two years.
1. Turn power off and unplug power source before changing AHPCO cell.
2. Never look directly at illuminated AHPCO cell.
3. UV lamp may be hot and could cause serious burns. Allow lamp to cool before removing from unit.
4. Remove 2 screws holding AHPCO door in place.
5. Tilt front of door away from unit and remove AHPCO cell.
6. Holding white ceramic cap with one hand, use the other hand to pull the pin connector away from the cell.
7. Reverse this step to connect the new AHPCO cell.
8. Insert the new AHPCO cell into unit and secure using 2 screws.
