DRIVER CONTROLS
TILT STEERING WHEEL
TO ADJUST THE STEERING WHEEL:
1. Pull the lever toward you and
hold it to unlock.
2. Raise or lower the steering
wheel to the desired position.
3. After adjustment, release
the lever.
NOTE: Do not attempt to adjust the
steering wheel while driving.

LOCK
The switch is located on the
driver’s door.
Push the switch to lock or unlock
all doors.
NOTE: If the passenger door is open
when the switch is pushed, the door
will remain locked when closed.
CENTRAL DOOR LOCKS
To operate the headlights, twist the
switch on the end of the lever:
OFF – Headlights off
– Parking lights on
– Headlights on
NOTE: The ignition must be in
the ON position to turn on
the headlights.
High Beam Activation: Push the
lever forward.
Flash Feature: Pull the lever toward
you and release.
HEADLIGHTS
WINDSHIELD WIPER / WASHER
To activate the windshield wipers, move
the wiper / washer switch to one of the
four positions:
MIST – This feature allows the
windshield wipers to make a single
wipe to clear any mist on the windshield.
Move the windshield wiper / washer
switch upward.
INT – Intermittent wiper operation is the
first downward position. The wiper speed
may be varied by rotating the INT switch.
LO – Low-speed operation is the second
downward position.
HI – High-speed operation is the third
downward position.
WIPE / WASH OPERATION
To use the windshield washer, pull the
wiper / washer lever toward you. When
the washer is operated, the wipers
automatically make one pass across
the windshield. The washer continues
to operate until the lever is released.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
(TPMS)
LOW TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR:
Illuminates if one or more of your tires is
significantly under-inflated. Safely park
the vehicle and check your tires as soon
as possible, and inflate them to the
proper pressure.
TPMS MALFUNCTION INDICATOR:
Illuminates and stays illuminated when
there is a malfunction with the TPMS
system. Have the system checked by
an authorized Hyundai dealer as soon
as possible.
NOTE: The TPMS is not a substitute for
proper tire maintenance, and it is the
driver’s responsibility to maintain correct
tire pressure, even if under-inflation
has not reached the level to trigger
illumination of the TPMS low tire
pressure indicator.

CRUISE CONTROL (if equipped)
To set a cruising speed:
1. ON C– Press the button and the
CRUISE indicator in the instrument
cluster will illuminate. Accelerate
to the desired cruising speed (above
25 mph).
2. SET D– Toggle the switch
downward and remove your foot
from the accelerator pedal.
To accelerate or decelerate speed:
ACC B– Toggle the switch upward
to accelerate your speed with
cruising speed set.
COAST D– Toggle the switch
downward to slow set speed down
with cruising speed set.
To cancel the cruising speed:
Pull the CANCEL Aswitch toward
you, press the brake pedal, depress
the clutch pedal, or turn OFF C
cruise control.
FRONT FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if equipped)
To turn on the front fog lights, push
the switch.
NOTE: Fog lights will only function
on low beam.

SETTING PRESET MEMORY BUTTONS
(AM/FM OR XM®)
1. Turn radio on by pressing the PWR / SRC
button H.
2. Select the source by pressing the
PWR / SRC button H.
NOTE: Source – Press the PWR / SRC button
to display the following source:

3. Press the AUTO button Buntil manual
is displayed.
4. Turn the Channel Select knob Dto the
desired channel.
5. Press and hold any preset button I
(1-6) until an audible beep is heard to
memorize the current channel.
NOTE: FM has 3 bands for up to 18 presets.
XM has 4 bands for up to 24 presets.
AM/FM RADIO CONTROLS
1. Press the AUTO button Bto change
tune mode:
Mode: SEEK gPRESET gMANUAL
Display: AUTO1 AUTO2 MANUAL
2. Turn the Channel Select knob Dto the
right or left to change to the next station.
3. Press the AM button Gor FM button F
to change frequency band.
TUNING AND LISTENING TO XM CHANNELS
1. Press the AUTO button Bto change
tune mode:
Auto >Channel
2. Turn the Channel Select knob Dto the
right or left to change to the next station.
3. Press the FM+button Fto cycle through
4 bands of XM presets.
CD/MP3 CONTROLS
1. Press the OPEN button Cto flip the
faceplate down.
• Press the (located behind the
faceplate) button to eject the CD.
• To load and play a CD, insert the CD
(label side up) and close the faceplate.
2. Turn the Channel Select knob Dto the
right or left to change to the next or
previous song.
3. Press the button Eto suspend or
resume playback.
4. Press the FM button Fto skip to the
next folder or press the AM button Gto
skip to the previous folder.
ADJUSTING THE EQUALIZER
(SOUND QUALITY CONTROL)
1. Press the Channel Select knob Dto
select the following sound qualities:

DEFROSTING / DEFOGGING
1. Press Front Windshield Defrost Button I.
2. Set the temperature control Ato the desired setting.
3. Set the fan speed control Dto the maximum speed.
ATEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL – Use to select the degree of heating. Turn to the left for
cooler temperatures, turn to the right for warmer temperatures.
BAUTO TEMPERATURE BUTTON – Push to activate the
system for automatic heating
and cooling.
CDISPLAY WINDOW – Displays the temperature control, the fan speed setting and the
selected air flow.
DFAN SPEED CONTROL DIAL – Use to select the blower fan speed. Turn to the left for lower
speed, turn to the right for higher speed.
EOFF – Press to turn the fan off.
FFRESH AIR CONTROL BUTTON – With AQS (Air Quality System) push to activate / deactivate.
In this mode air enters the vehicle from outside and is heated or cooled according to the
other functions selected.
GAIR RECIRCULATION BUTTON – Push to activate / deactivate. In this mode air from within
the passenger compartment is drawn through the heating system and is heated or cooled
according to the other functions selected.
HREAR WINDOW DEFROST BUTTON – Press to remove moisture from the rear window.
IFRONT WINDSHIELD DEFROST BUTTON – Press to clear the windshield of fog and / or
thin ice.
JA/C – Press to turn the air conditioning on or off.
KMODE BUTTON – This controls the flow of air. Air flow can be directed to different levels.

vehicle from outside and is heated or cooled according to the other functions selected.
EAIR FLOW CONTROL BUTTON – Use to direct the flow of air.
FREAR WINDOW DEFROST BUTTON – Push to remove moisture from the rear window.
GFAN SPEED CONTROL DIAL – Use to select the blower fan speed. Turn to the left for lower
speed, turn to the right for higher speed.
DEFROSTING / DEFOGGING
1. Set the air flow control Eto the defrost position.
2. Set the temperature control Ato the desired setting.
3. Set the fan speed control Gto position 3 or 4.

REFUELING
1. Pull fuel release lever.
2. Remove fuel cap.
3. Pump fuel.
4. Replace fuel cap.
5. Close fuel door.
NOTE: After adding fuel, always reinstall
the fuel cap fully and make sure it
clicks at least three times. Failure to
do this may result in the Check Engine
light illuminating.
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY
LOCK
Press to lock all doors and arm
the alarm. Press again to hear a
confirmation chirp.
UNLOCK
Press to disarm the alarm and unlock
the driver’s door. Press again within
four seconds to unlock all the doors.
PANIC
Press and hold to activate the horn
and flashing lights for 30 seconds.
Press again to turn off panic mode.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
(if equipped)
To select automatic mode, shift
to D.
P – Park
R – Reverse
N – Neutral
D – Drive
(+/–) – Shiftronic
• Push this lever forward to shift up
one gear.
• Pull the lever backwards once to
shift down one gear.
6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
(if equipped)
ENGAGING REVERSE
When shifting into Reverse (R) gear,
lift the collar tab up and then shift
into the Reverse (R) gear position.

BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Whenever operating the vehicle, make sure that you and your occupants are properly wearing
your seat belts. Small children should always ride in the rear seat in the appropriate child
restraint system (see the Owner’s Manual for child safety details). Never place children
under 13 years old in the front seats to avoid injury that may result from air bag deployment.
Always refer to the Owner’s Manual for complete safety precaution information.
NOTE: If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned to the ON or
START position, the seat belt reminder light will blink and the warning chime will sound for
approximately six seconds to remind the driver to fasten the driver’s seat belt.

SEATS
Lumbar Support (if equipped):
To adjust the lumbar support, move the
lever on the outboard or left side of the
seat to the desired position.
Seat Cushion Height Adjustment
(Driver’s Seat Only):
To raise or lower the front part of the
seat cushion, turn the knob forward
or rearward.
CUP HOLDERS
The cup holder is used for
holding cups or cans. To use the
passenger’s drink holder, push the
drink into the holder.
HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT
To adjust, press the button and
raise or lower the height adjuster
to an appropriate position.

REAR SEAT
The rear seatbacks may be folded down
to increase the luggage capacity or to
ease in carrying long items.
To fold down the rear seat:
1. Pass the shoulder belt through the
hanger, this will keep it out of the way
and prevent it from getting damaged.
2. Insert the buckle in the pocket, this
will prevent the buckle from being
damaged by the seatback.
3. Unlock the seatback by pushing
the seatback locking button, then pull
forward on the seatback panel.
NOTE: When returning the seatback to
its upright position make sure that it is
locked into position by pulling and
pushing on the top of the seatback.
REAR SEAT ENTRY (Walk in device)
The driver and front passenger’s seatbacks should be tilted to enter the rear seat.
Driver Side:
1. Pull up the walk in device lever Aat the left-upper side of the driver side seatback,
the seatback will tilt forward.
2. Pull the lock release lever Bup to move the seat forward.

Passenger Side:
1. Pull up the walk in device lever Aat the right-upper side of the passenger side seatback,
the seatback will tilt forward.
2. Push the seat forward.
RECLINER MEMORY
By pulling up the walk in device lever Athe seatback is reclined and returned to the
original position.
