2.PRECAUTIONS
Do not grip or pull out the disc
while it is being pulled into the
CD
player by the automatic re-
loading
mechanism.
Do not pull the unit from the
dash immediately after a disc is
inserted or the Eject Switch has
been pressed. lf the unit is pulled
out before an ooeration is com-
pleted, the disc will be unstable
inthe unitand may be damaged.
Do not attempt to insert a disc
into the unit when the unit is out
of the dash or the ACC is off.
Your player accepts only one
disc at a time for playback. Do
not attempt to load more than
one disc. Make sure the label
side is facing up when you insert
the disc.
Your player will automatically
eject any disc that is inserted
incorrectly.
Playing
a disc while drivingon a
very bumpy road may result in
skips, but this will not scratch the
disc or damage the player.

You may notice the CD playback
sound wavering
due to condensat-
ion.lfthishappens,
removethe disc
from the player and wait about an
hour
forthe moisture
to evaporate.

Do not attempt to play cracked,

CONTROLKNOB
The radio unit may be operated when the
ignitionkey is inthe "ACC"
or "ON" position.
Press the button to switch the power on.
The LCD (Liquid Crystal Disply) shows the
radio frequency in the radio mode. To
switch the power off, press the button
again.
VOLUME CONTROL
Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the
volume and counterclockwise to reduce
thevolume.

The Liquid Crystal Display panel displays
the frequency, band, channel of Radio
mode and track, funtion
of CDmode.

Press the knob out and rotate the knob
clockwiseto increase
the bass and counter-
clockwiseto reduce
the bass.
To control the treble, pull the knob out
slightly.Rotatethe controlknobclockwise to
increasethe treble and counterclockwise
to
reducethetreble.

CONTROL
Thisknob islocated behindthe volume
knob.Rotatethe
knobcounterclockwise
to emphasize rear speaker sound.
(Front speaker sound will be
attenuated.)
When the control knob is turned
clockwise, front speaker sound will be
emphasized. (Rear speaker sound will
be attenuated.) .
O BALANCE
CONTROL
Pull-out the volume knob and turn the
control knob clockwise to emohasize
right speaker sound. (Left speaker
sound will be attenuated.)
When the control knob is turned
counterclockwise, left speaker sound
will be emphasized. (Right speaker
sound willbe attenuated)

Before playing, clean the disc
with a clean,soft cloth.
Wioe the disc in the direction of
the arrows. Do not use solvents
such
as benzine,
thinner,
comme-
rcially available cleaners or
antistatic spray intended for
analog
discs.

There are variousaccessories
available on the market for prote-
ctingthe disc surface and impro-
ving sound quality. However,
most of them will influence the
thickness and/or diameter of the
disc. Using such accessories can
cause the disc to be out of stand-
ard specifications
and may crea-
te operationalproblems.We rec-
ommend not using these
accessories on discs played in
this CDplayer.
Do not affix tape, paper, or gummed
labels on the disc. Do not write on
the disc.
