EN Introduction
The i-box Lite is a stylish compact radio alarm clock with a large digit, easy-to-read,
dimmable display. The soft-touch control buttons are a comfortable size and are
positioned on the top panel for easy access. You can choose to wake to a beeping
alarm or the last FM radio station you listened to. The Lite’s radio produces a crisp,
clear sound at a good volume for its size and can store up to 10 FM stations to preset
slots for quick recall.

Caring for your Alarm Clock
Important saftey information. Please read these instructions fully before operating
your alarm clock.
Do not place naked ame sources, such as lit candles on or near the unit.
Keep away from dripping or splashed liquids.
The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures,
moisture, strong magnetic elds, microwaves or dusty environments.
Always leave sufcient space around the unit for ventilation, do not cover.
Do not use abrasives or solvents to clean this product. Use only a clean, damp,
soft, cloth.
Never attempt to insert wires, pins or other such objects into the vents or openings
of the unit.
Do not disassemble or modify the unit, there are no user-serviceable parts.
If the unit is damaged in any way or malfunctions do not use. Consult a qualied
service engineer.
Always use the power adaptor supplied; if you need to replace it, make sure the
replacement is of high quality and has the same power rating (5V𝌂2A).
Please dispose of this electronic item appropriately. Do not
discard to unsorted household waste at the end of its life. Take

1. Powering Your Lite
To power your Lite, insert the jack plug into the DC 5V IN port on the back of the Lite 14
and plug the power adaptor (supplied) into a powered wall socket.

2. Backup Battery Installation
Your Lite has a backup battery feature 9 that uses 2x AAA 1.5V batteries (not
included). If the mains supply is disconnected or interrupted, the backup batteries
ensure that the time and alarm settings are saved. It does not power any other
functions – for example, radio or display.

3. Standby and FM Radio Mode
Short press the MODE key (3) to switch to FM Radio, short press the MODE key
(3) again to switch to standby mode.

4. Setting the Time
In some regions, the time will auto-set once the Lite receives an FM signal, in most
regions though you will need to set it manually. To set the time manually, you need to be
in standby mode, to enter standby mode long press the MODE key (3). Long press
the V+ / CLOCK key (2) to start setting the time.

5. Setting the Alarms
To set an alarm, you need to be in standby mode, to enter standby mode long press the
MODE key (3). Once in standby mode, long press the V- / ALARM key (1) to start
setting the alarms. The prompt “AL1” or “AL2” on the display indicates which alarm you
are changing.

Choose from beep (bP) or FM radio. FM will use the last played station. When the
alarm(s) sound, they will gradually increase in volume up to the default maximum

8.3 Saving a Station to the Preset List
To save the station playing to one of the 10 available FM preset slots, long press the
PRESET key (6) then short press the next/previous / (5/4) keys to scroll to an
empty preset slot or overwrite an old one. Press PRESET (6) to store.

8.4 Playing a Saved Preset
Short press the PRESET (6) key to enter the preset menu, then short press
/ (5/4) to scroll to the preset slot you want to play. The station will start
playing immediately.

9. Sleep Function
In FM radio mode you can use the sleep timer function to set a time period after which
your Lite will switch off automatically. This is ideal if you want to set your Lite to switch
off automatically after you have fallen asleep.
1. In FM radio mode long press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER (7) key. The display will
show “SLEEP” (18) in the top right corner.
2. Short press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER (7) key repeatedly to cycle through the
time options. The available options are: 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 minutes and OFF.

3. To deactivate the sleep timer, long press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER key (7) then
short press SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER (7) repeatedly until “OFF” is displayed. “SLEEP”
(18) will no longer be visible in the top right corner.

10. Wired Charging
You can also charge a phone or other device via the USB output port 13 on the back
of the Lite (cable not included). If you are charging a phone the battery status will be
shown on its screen.
• Your phone will not charge when the Lite is using the backup battery
(not being powered by the power adaptor).
• There may be some radio interference while charging.
11. Display Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the display by repeatedly short pressing the SNOOZE/SLEEP/
DIMMER key (7).

Troubleshooting
Solutions
Radio reception is poor
• Check that the antenna is extended for the maximum signal strength
and improved reception.
• Adjust the antenna direction to improve the signal. Move the unit closer
to a window.
• Check that the unit is not close to microwaves, uorescent lights or
other equipment which may cause interference.
No sound
• Check if the volume is turned down. Increase the volume.
• Check that the unit is switched on.
• Try tuning to another radio station.
The unit does not
turn on
• Check power supply connections.
• Check mains socket is switched on.
After a power cut,
the alarm and time
settings have not
been saved

1. Stromzufuhr für Ihr Lite
Um Ihr Lite mit Strom zu versorgen, stecken Sie den Klinkenstecker in den DC 5V IN-
Anschluss an der Rückseite des Lite 14 und stecken den (mitgelieferten) Netzadapter
an eine Steckdose an.

2. Installation der Backup-Batterie
Ihr Lite verfügt über eine Backup-Batteriefunktion 9, die mit 2 1,5-V-AAA-Batterien
betrieben wird (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Im Falle einer Unterbrechung oder
fehlenden Verbindung der Netzstromversorgung wird das Gerät mit dieser Backup-
Stromversorgung betrieben, damit die Uhrzeit- und Wecker-Einstellungen erhalten
bleiben. Sie versorgt keine anderen Funktionen – etwa Radio oder Display.

3. Standby- und UKW-Radiomodus
Drücken Sie kurz die Taste MODUS (3), um zum FM-Radio zu wechseln, drücken Sie

4. Einstellen der Uhrzeit
In einigen Regionen wird die Zeit automatisch eingestellt, sobald das Lite ein UKW-
Signal empfängt, in den meisten Regionen müssen Sie sie jedoch manuell einstellen.
Zum manuellen Einstellen der Zeit muss das Gerät im Standby-Modus sein. Halten Sie
die MODUS-Taste (3) gedrückt, um in den Standby-Modus zu gelangen. Halten Sie
die V+ / UHR-Taste (2) gedrückt, um die Einstellung der Zeit zu beginnen.

5. Einstellen des Alarms
Zum Einstellen eines Alarms muss das Gerät im Standby-Modus sein. Halten Sie die

8.3 Abspeichern eines Senders in der Vorwahlliste
Um einen aktuell empfangenen Sender auf einem der 10 verfügbaren FM-
Speicherplätze zu speichern, drücken Sie lange auf die PRESET-Taste (6),
drücken Sie danach kurz die Tasten Weiter/Zurück / (5/4), um zu einem leeren
Speicherplatz zu blättern oder einen alten Speicherplatz zu überschreiben. Drücken
Sie zum Speichern die PRESET-Taste (6).

8.4 Abspielen eines gespeicherten Presets
Drücken Sie kurz die PRESET-Taste (6), um das Preset-Menü anzuzeigen, drücken
Sie danach kurz / (5/4), um zu dem gewünschten Preset zu blättern, das Sie
abrufen möchten. Der Sender beginnt mit der Wiedergabe.

9. Einschlaffunktion
Sie können in UKW-Radiomodus die Einschlaffunktion verwenden, um die Zeit
einzustellen, nach der sich Ihr Lite automatisch abschaltet. Dies ist hilfreich, wenn Sie
möchten, dass sich Ihr Lite automatisch abschaltet, nachdem Sie eingeschlafen sind.

10. Aufladen mit Kabel
Sie können ein Telefon oder ein anderes Gerät auch am USB-Anschluss 13 an der
Rückseite des Lite auaden (Kabel ist im Lieferumfang nicht enthalten). Beim Auaden
eines Telefons wird der Akkustatus auf dessen Display angezeigt.
• Ihr Telefon wird nicht aufgeladen, wenn das Lite über die Backup-Batterie mit Strom
versorgt wird (und nicht über den Netzadapter).
• Während des Ladevorgangs kann es zu Funkstörungen kommen.
11. Helligkeit des Displays
Die Helligkeit des Displays wird durch kurzes wiederholtes Drücken der Taste SNOOZE/
SLEEP/DIMMER (7) eingestellt.

Lautstärke.
• Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät eingeschaltet ist.
