Chapter 1 Introduction

B. Installation Steps
Note: DO NOT connect the router to power before performing the installation steps
below.
a. Locate an optimum location for the router. The best place is usually near the center
of the area in which your PC(s) will wirelessly connect.
b. Adjust the direction of the antenna. Normally, upright is a good direction.
Step 1.
Connect the DSL/Cable Modem/Ethernet to the WAN port or 3G USB Modem on the
router as shown below is the following image.

Step 2.
Insert RJ45 UTP Patch cord one end into the Router LAN Port and another end to the PC LAN
port.
Step 3.
Connect the power adapter one end to the router and other end into an electrical outlet.
Step 4.
Power on your PC and Cable/DSL modem.
Step 5.

When all of the devices boot up completely, make sure that the router's LEDs light
ON as per your connection required.
Chapter 2. Configuring the Router
There are two methods for you to set up the 3G+ Wireless-N Router quickly and easily.
Method - I Easy Setup Wizard
Method - II Web Based configuring through browser
Method - I Easy Setup Wizard
Configuring the Router via Easy Setup Wizard (Resource CD)
a. Insert the Resource CD into your CD-ROM device.
b. The Easy Setup Wizard will automatically pop up on the computer’s screen.
Click START button and follow the steps as per easy setup configuration to complete the router
configuration

Easy Setup Wizard - (Utility Software)
Step 1:
Run the Easy Setup Wizard
from the provided CD then
follow the steps to configure
the device.
Step 2:
Select Language then click
“Next” to continue.
Step 3:
Then click the “Quick
Wizard” to continue.

Step 4:
Click “Next” to continue.
Step 5:
Select Wireless Enable, and
then click “Next” to continue.
Step 6:
Enter SSID, Channel and
Security options, and then
click “Next” to continue.
Default Parameters:
SSID: iBall-Baton
Password: 12345678

Step 7:
Click” Let me select WAN
service by myself” to select
WAN service manually.

Select Ethernet WAN
Service by clicking Ethernet
WAN icon to configure
Ethernet WAN Connection.

Method – II Configuring the Router by Web Console
With a Web-based utility, it is easy to configure and manage the iB-W3GX150N
3G+ Wireless-N Router.
The Web-based utility can be used on any Windows, Macintosh or UNIX OS with a Web
browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari.
Login to the Router
To login to the router, you should set up the TCP/IP Protocol in "Obtain an IP address
automatically" mode on your PC(s).
a. To access the configuration utility, open a web-browser and type in the default address
http://192.168.1.1 in the address field of the browser.
I. After a moment, a login window will appear. Enter admin for the User Name
and Password, both in lower case letters. Then click OK or press Enter.
2.2.1 Configure with the Quick Setup

Select “Quick Setup” for
basic settings with simple

Press “Next” to start the

If you want to use 3G
service as the main
internet access, please
set the WAN interface as
“3G Wireless” and the
WAN type as “3G”.
Step 5:
3G Mode.
Select Auto-Detection
then click “Next” to
continue.
Step 6:
Set up your Wireless
Network.
Set up your SSID.
Step 7:
Setup your Encryption
Key here, then click”Next”
to continue.

Apply your Setting.
Then click Apply Setting.
Step 9:
Click Finish to complete it.

Chapter 3 Network Setting
The below menu will help you to configure advanced settings in Router menu.
3.1.1. Network Setup
Ethernet LAN Setup
Ethernet WAN Setup
1. LAN IP Address: The local IP address of this device. The computers on your network
must use the LAN IP address of this device as their Default Gateway. You can change it
if necessary.
2. Subnet Mask: Input your Subnet mask. (All devices in the network must have the same
subnet mask.) The default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
3. WAN Interface: Select Ethernet WAN or Wireless WAN to continue.
4. WAN Type: WAN connection type of your ISP. You can click WAN Type button to
choose a correct one from the following options:
