Note
A ladder or step may be required to have a clear vertical view of the work area.
Do not attempt to remove the assemblies without a clear view, as damage to the connectors,
screws or refractory may occur.
Replacement of CXFlex Gas Line
Preparing the Unit for Servicing
1. Remove call(s) for heat.
2. Remove power to the unit at a wall switch or a breaker.
3. Shut off gas supply to the boiler.
Do not drain the boiler unless freezing conditions are expected during this procedure.
4. Allow the boiler to cool down.
5. Remove the front cover, and then remove the four Torx 20 head screws on the top panel of the combi
boiler.
Removing and Replacing the Flex Gas Line
1. Undo the union nut (B) at the gas valve inlet (D), remove and discard the gasket.
2. Undo the union nut (E) at the base of the cabinet, remove and discard the gasket and the flex gas line
(A).
3. Upon reassembly, ensure that all gaskets (C) are flat and correctly positioned.
4. Insert the union nut of the flex gas line onto the gas inlet, tighten the nut, then complete with ¼ to ½
turn more. Repeat with the union nut of the flex gas line to the gas valve inlet.
5. Before restoring the combi boiler to normal operation, check for leaks at the gas valve inlet .
Start-Up
1. Turn on the gas to the boiler.
2. Turn on power to the boiler.
3. Turn on call(s) for heat.
4. Check connections for leaks during operation.
5. Perform a combustion analysis, and test for proper operation.
6. Reinstall the front cover.
