Chapter 1 Product Information
1.1 General Information
Rack-360 is a PC/AT compatible computer designed for Industrial applications. It is
a steel rugged chassis specially designed to work under harsh environment for
high reliability application. The Rack-360 features 14 slots Passive Backplanes and
high reliability Input Power Supply. Specially equipped with Keyboard Port on front
and rear side for easy access.
Rack-360 will withstand shock, vibration, dust and wide range of temperature in
Industrial environments. A lockable door protects drives and switches from
unauthorized misuse and particle. One cooling fan in the front for optimum cooling
system.

Chapter 2 Installation Procedure
The following set up procedures are provided to assist you in installing the
system unit, please follow the steps below:
2.1 The Front Panel of Rack-360
Two 5.25” and three 3.5” drive spaces are accessible as open the lockable
front door. Also, the front panel of Rack-360 provides three switches for
Reset, Power on, and Keyboard lock; and three LEDs to show the status of
Power, HDD, and Keyboard lock.
2.2 Removing the chassis cover
The cover is mounted by four screws at each side of the chassis. Please
remove the screws first and then slide the cover to the rear of the chassis.
2.3 Disk Drives installation
To install the disk drives, please follow the below steps:
1.Open the front lockable door in the front panel.
2.Remove the disk drive bay.
3.Attach the FDD to the bracket with screws and connect FDD cable &
power cable to the FDD.
4.Attach the HDD/CD-ROM to the bracket with screws and connect a
40-pin flat cable & power cable to the HDD/CD-ROM.

2.4 The Card Clamp Installation
The card clamp is designed to hold the add-on cards to fix securely into the
ISA/PCI slots, thus preventing them from vibrating. You may install the Card
Clamp after inserting all the add-on cards in the backplane by following the
steps below: Place the Card Clamp into the chassis side with the 2 fixed
screws on the chassis. Screw the other side from the side of the chassis.
1.If the add-on card is too short, use the holding clamp to hold the card and
fix the holding clamp by screws.
2.When you are finished, put the screw on the other side of the Card Clamp
and fasten them.
2.5 Replacing the Filter
The filter of the Rack-360 is located at the front end of the chassis. The filter
should be removed and cleaned at least once a month to achieve optimum
performance. The filter can be removed simply by opening the front lockable
door and pulling out the filter bracket.
2.6 The Power Supply Installation
The standard power supply provided in the chassis is ACE-925A. It is placed
in the rear of the chassis with screws fastening it from outside.
