Installation
Hardware Installation
• Connect a CAT5/6/6a cable to the RJ45 Port on the network adapter and to a network
device such as a router.
• Connect the USB Type-C®or -A (adapter) connector on the network adapter to
a USB 3.0 Type-C®or -A port on the host computer.
Driver installation
macOS®and Linux®(LTS)
• The adapter provides native driver support for macOS®and Linux®(LTS) and can be
attached to such systems without any driver installation.
Windows®
When this adapter is connected to a Windows®based PC that can automatically start "auto
run" function for CD driver installation, the window below will pop up on your screen (if the
PC has not been installed with the driver of this adapter before), then you need to click "Yes"
to finish installation.
• If the driver does not automatically installs itself when you connect the network adapter to
the host computer, the following message that a virtual CD is loaded will appear:

• Click on the message and the "CD Drive" screen will open and prompts you to install the
driver. Please click here:
• …or double click "This PC" Icon on the desktop and you also can see the "CD Drive"
window.
• Double clicking "CD Drive" automatically installs drivers and the "CD Drive" icon will
disappear after the installation has been completed.
• The device is now ready for use.

Treiberinstallation
macOS®und Linux®(LTS)
• Der Adapter bietet native Treiberunterstützung für macOS®und Linux®(LTS) und kann an
diese Systeme ohne jegliche Treiberinstallation angeschlossen werden.
Windows®
Wenn dieser Adapter an einen Windows®basierten PC angeschlossen wird, der auto-
matisch die "Auto-Run" Funktion für die Installation des CD-Treibers starten kann, erscheint
das untenstehende Fenster auf Ihrem Bildschirm (sofern auf dem Computer zuvor noch kein
entsprechender Treiber zu diesem Adapter installiert wurde). Klicken Sie auf "Ja", um die
Installation abzuschließen.
• Wenn Sie den Netzwerkadapter an den Hostcomputer anschließen und die Treiber nicht
automatisch installiert werden, erscheint die folgende Meldung, dass eine virtuelle CD
geladen ist.

• Klicken Sie auf die Nachricht und der Bildschirm "CD-Laufwerk" wird geöffnet und fordert
zum Installieren des Treibers auf. Bitte anklicken:
• ...oder Sie führen auf dem Symbol "Dieser PC" auf dem Desktop ein Doppelklick aus und
können auch dann das "CD-Laufwerk" Fenster sehen und verwenden.
• Durch einen Doppelklick auf "CD-Laufwerk" werden die Treiber automatisch installiert und
das Symbol "CD-Laufwerk" verschwindet nach Abschluss der Installation.
• Das Gerät ist nun einsatzbereit.
