enclosures and adapters, including this device!
• Your host computer must have a USB Type C™interface.
• The IB-247-C31 also works with notebooks and computers with USB
3.0/2.0/1.1 Type-A interfaces if the appropriate adapter is available.
• The Type-C™interface can be connected with USB 3.0 or USB 2.0
standard in some notebooks and computers. The enclosure only sup-
ports up to 10 Gbit/s to USB 3.1 (Gen2) Type-C™interfaces.
• The following operating systems are supported: Windows®, macOS®

Description:
The enclosure provides 2.5" drives with an environment in which they can fully
exploit their transfer rates. Thanks to the USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C™connecti-
on, data is transferred from A to B with the maximum transfer rate of 6 Gbit/s
specified by SATA III.

nehmen Sie bitte folgende Informationen zur Kompatibilität von USB Type-C™
Gehäusen und Adaptern, inklusive diesem Gerät, zur Kenntnis!
• Ihr Hostcomputer muss über eine USB Type-C™Schnittstelle verfügen.
• Das IB-247-C31 arbeitet auch mit Notebooks und Computern mit
USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 Type-A Schnittstellen sofern der passende Adapter
vorhanden ist.
• Die Type-C™Schnittstelle kann in einigen Notebooks und Computern
mit USB 3.0 oder USB 2.0 angebunden sein. Das Gehäuse unterstützt
nur an USB 3.1 (Gen2) Schnittstellen die volle Übertragungsrate von
bis zu 10 Gbit/s.

Installation / Einbau
During the drive assembly all cabling has to be disconnected from the
computer.
Während der Installation des Laufwerks darf das Gehäuse nicht am Compu-
ter angeschlossen sein.
1. Remove the four screws from the back of the IB-247-C31 with the
enclosed screwdriver.
1. Entfernen Sie die vier Schrauben auf der Rückseite des IB-247-C31 mit
dem beigefügten Schraubendreher.
2. Open the bottom cover and attach the drive inside the enclosure.
2. Öffnen Sie die untere Abdeckung und legen Sie das Laufwerk in das
Gehäuse.
3. Close the enclosure and screw the cover back on.
3. Verschließen Sie das Gehäuse wieder und verschrauben Sie die
Abdeckung.
4. (Optional) Attach the supplied rubber feet.
4. (Optional) Bringen Sie die mitgelieferten Gummifüße an.

Usage / Verwendung
1. Plug the IB-247-C31 into the Type-C™port of your notebook/computer.
1. Stecken Sie den IB-247-C31 in den Type-C™Anschluss Ihres Note-
books oder Computers.
2. When the IB-247-C31 has been plugged in, the LED will turn on.

DE Info: Laufwerke müssen initialisiert sein und aktive Partitionen besitzen,
damit diese sofort als Datenträger im Betriebssystem erkannt werden. Falls
dies nicht der Fall sein sollte, initialisieren Sie die Laufwerke in der Datenträ-
gerverwaltung Ihres Betriebssystems.
• Das externe Laufwerk kann im laufenden Betrieb des Rechners an die-
sen via USB Kabel angeschlossen oder von diesem getrennt werden.
• Bitte das Ende von Schreib- und Lesevorgängen abwarten bevor ein
angeschlossenes Gehäuse vom Rechner getrennt wird, um Datenverlust
zu vermeiden.
Die volle USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Transferrate kann nur mit einem kompatiblen USB
3.1 (Gen 2) Hostcomputer erreicht werden. Des Weiteren müssen die USB
3.1 Treiber seitens des Betriebssystems installiert sein. Sollte dies nicht der Fall
sein, installieren Sie die passenden Treiber für Ihr Betriebssystem (Windows®,
macOS®). Informieren Sie sich hierzu bitte auf www.icybox.de.
EN Info: Drives must be initialized and have active partitions to be immedi-
ately recognized as volumes in the operating system. If this is not the case,
initialize the drives in the volume management of your operating system.
• The external drive can be connected to or disconnected from the com-
puter via USB cable without shutting down the computer.
• Please await the end of read/write operations before disconnecting
the drive to avoid data loss.
The full USB 3.1 (Gen 2) transfer rate can only be achieved with a compatible
USB 3.1 (Gen 2) host computer. Furthermore, the USB 3.1 drivers must be
installed by the operating system. If this is not the case, install the appropriate
drivers for your operating system (Windows®, macOS®).
